How to Remove and Replace the Electric Cooker Safety Pressure Valve

If you should have to replace the safety pressure valve on your electric cooker, this video will help walk you through the process. Follow these steps carefully to ensure the safety pressure valve is properly removed and replaced.
Removing the Safety Pressure Valve:
Before you begin, we recommend removing the gasket attachment to make it a little easier to work with the lid.
Begin by removing the silicone cover from the safety valve on the top of the lid.
Flip the lid over to begin working on the underside. We recommend using a finger to hold the metal piece in the lid, as it will loosen once you begin to remove the components from the underside of the lid.
Unscrew the metal stub on the underside of the lid. If it is on too tightly to remove by hand, use a flathead screwdriver.
Once the metal stub is removed, you can easily remove the metal ball, metal spring, and small silicone gasket.
You can now flip the lid back over and remove the metal piece that you had been holding in place.
Replacing the Safety Pressure Valve:
To replace the safety pressure valve, begin by placing the metal piece into the lid, threaded end in first. Using a finger, hold the piece in place and flip the lid over to begin replacing the pieces on the underside.
Place the small silicone gasket on the protruding, threaded end of the metal piece. This piece can be tricky as it will want to bounce off, just be patient and make sure it is placed all the way at the bottom of the threading, touching the lid.
Once the small gasket is properly placed on the metal piece, insert the metal spring into the opening of the metal piece. Then, place the metal ball into the metal spring.
Carefully re-screw the metal stub back onto the threaded end of the metal piece, making sure the metal ball does not fall out of the metal spring. Make sure it is on tightly.
You can now flip the lid back over and reattach the silicone cover. Use a pushing and twisting motion to get it to properly sit back in place.
