Im praying they come back in stock as well. I only own 2 omnis of x-men and ive been collecting a couple of years now. I own the Apocolypse omni and the new x-men omni. Both great to me but could use more x-men material lol.
I'd be lost without these videos. Thank you so much, Omar! I hope when you're Overlord you'll force Marvel to publish all the X-Men stuff in Omnibus format, in chronological order AND never go out of print. #OmarRules #MarvelFearYourNewOverlordOmar
Outstanding video. Thanks for taking the time to do this follow up. Can't wait for the next installment. I've just this week managed to get hold of a copy of Phalanx Covenant to add to my evergrowing x-universe but it was nice to see a flip through on this video of whats inside. I'm crossing my fingers for reprints so that I can swap out the tpb's. Your reading order video's rock!!
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and the kind words. The reprints will come, it will just be a while. Like I mentioned in the video, I think the next reprint will be the X-cutioner's Song as an omnibus and then Apocalypse The Twelve omnibus.
Haha. X-Men Unlimited 2! I'm glad you mentioned that one because...whew!...that was a chore to read for me too. I fell asleep reading it a few times then gave up. If you ever wanted to know everything about Magneto....EVERY thing... then I guess that's the issue to get.
I boycotted the Wedding omnibus because it's way too expensive for what it is. But after watching you flip through, it really brought back some good memories from that time.
That's what I thought but seeing you flip through it I saw several issues I loved as a kid. Maybe I'll wait a little longer and see if it gets put on sale. Hopefully it wasn't a big seller.
Man, I sometimes feel like the only comics fan that didn't dip out on the X-titles around the Apocalypse/Onslaught era. I was still relatively new in the collecting game, I guess. In fact, X-Cutioner's Song was the first X Crossover I followed, so I probably wasn't as burnt out by Onslaught. Plus, the fact that all of the Marvel Universe was a part of it made it even cooler to me because the previous crossovers felt isolated from the other heroes. I actually remained a solid fan of the books until Chuck Austen broke me.
Near Mint Condition Me too I would love for you to check some of my Omnibus videos out, Thanks for the heads up on Eve of Destruction and I am looking forward to Mutant Massacre next week.
Hello I'm commenting about this video since I have a question about two of the Omnibuses that you mention and I need to bring you completely up to date regarding what I have purchased recently and I can't find my original comments. So first to bring you to date: 📍#BattleAngelAlita Last Order I now have all the Omnibuses and individual volumes. So have this to read when I finished the original Regarding Marvel Omnibuses, hardcover and Trade Paperbooks, I have now got the following: 📍Dark Phoenix Omnibus - I just looking to collect a classic x-men story 📍Guardians Of Galaxy Omnibus - Abnett and Lanning I have also collected the Annihilation/War of Kings run as follows (note these are new unless stated): 📍Annihilation Complete Volume 1 TPB 📍Annihilation Complete Volime 2 TPB 📍Annihilation: Conquest Omnibus - was OOP so it wasn't that cheap 📍War Of Kings : Prelude Omnibus 📍War Of Kings Omnibus - again OOP so picked up a Very Good condition copy at not too bad a price 📍War Of Kings: Aftermath Omnibus Also I have the following that are related: 📍Annihilation: Conquest Book One - Hardcover - I started going down the hardcover route because I thought I couldn't find any new copies of Annihilation: Conquest Omnibus that I could afford, of course after I decided to purchase this I did find a copy 📍Rocket Raccoon And Groot Complete Collection - cheap because of small remainder mark that doesn't affect it in any way So you can see that I have been very busy recently, to say the least! Now onto a couple of Omnibuses that you mention in this video: 📍X-men: Age of apocalypse Omnibus 📍X-men: Age of apocalypse companion Omnibus The first one is out as a second printing so still can be bought at a discount, unfortunately the second is OOP and prices are starting to rise. So how vital is the second Omnibus to the complete run/story? Is it something that needs to purchased. I could purchase for a discount the following remainder copies of the following TPB's that contain all the material in the companion apart from X-Universe 1-2: 📍X-Men: Age of apocalypse: Dawn 📍X-Men: Age of apocalypse: Twlight So my questions are should I try to get the X-Men : Age of apocalypse companion omnibus if I was looking to complete this story because it does include X-Universe? Or are the TPB's a perfectly adequate replacement even though X-Universe is contained within either of them? As always thank you for your advice...
First of all, thank you so much for watching. 2nd of all, you have acquired so much stuff..where do I start? Hellz yeah! Battle Angel, I hope you end up enjoying it. The Marvel Cosmic Saga makes me so happy to see up there. Very nice. As far as Apocalypse. Age of Apocalypse omnibus is really self contained. The Companion mostly has things written after and sometimes years after the original...so it's not crucial to reading it. If you can't find it for cheap, stick with the trades if you are curious about the stories contained in there. Thank you, as always for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@NearMintCondition watched your video exclusive about Omnibuses being reprinted including the Annihilation Omnibus in December 2019! Since I already have Annihilation Complete Volumes 1 and 2 TPB's do you think that it's still worthwhile purchasing the Omnibus? BTW an update of my purchasing of the Age of apocalypse Omnibus 2nd printing managed to get it from an online bookseller in the UK that I use on a regular basis at 43% discount. The companion Omnibus is going OOP so getting more expensive - managed to get a new sealed copy from USA based Ebay seller - had some credit in my PayPal account so it only cost about £17.00 - currently on the way to the UK. When I have some more time I will detail what other editions (in addition to what I have mentioned previously) I have as Graphical Novels and Manga Keep up the great work with your channel... @@leslieturner8276 That Alita 4K looks so amazing. I'm going to get that thing for sure. As far as Annihilation I say if you love the story and enjoyed the art. It's worth the upgrade for the oversized artwork.
@@NearMintCondition just an update I purchased the following today since I could get all of them at a discount: 📍V for Vendetta 30th Anniversary: Deluxe Edition 📍X-23: The Complete Collection Volume 1 📍X-23: The Complete Collection Volume 2 Knowing my luck Marvel will soon announce that X-23 Trades are being turned into an omnibus! I did see Dark Phoenix in IMAX 3D, since I had zero expectations I was pleasantly surprised. I don't think that it's the worst X-Man film under Fox, there at least three I think are worse, but neither is it going to be the best. The original plan was that it was going to be solit into two films, which would have given time for potentially a reasonable adaptation of the classic "Dark Phoenix Saga", but instead Fox thought they could shoehorn into a single film and then they handed it over to idiot who screwed up "Last Stand". Then the ending involving a battle in space had to be changed because of "Captain Marvel", of course had it been released on the planned date this wouldn't have been a problem! Then Disney had to be involved and forced a cut of 30 minutes to the runtime, I wonder how much character development ended up on the cutting room floor? It was almost as if Disney were trying to ensure that "Dark Phoenix" would be a failure! Which they tried to do with #AlitaBattleAngel but thankfully the fans fought back to ensure that box office takings were far better than originally estimated! I'm hopeful that there will be a sequel, now waiting for 4K UHD to be released. Back to "Dark Phoenix" - I thought that Sophie Turner did as well as her could with the material that she was given and I do like her take on how she played Jean Gray under the control of the Phoenix Force. I thought the 3D was good in parts - especially the space scenes, however it's a great pity that it's not going to be released as a 3D Blu-ray. I do think that yet another adaptation of "The Dark Phoenix Saga" isn't going to anytime soon, or ever in the MCU. I'm somewhat concerned that there doesn't seem any plans to introduce the X-Men into the MCU, I hope that there isn't too much of a delay and I hope they treat it with more respect than Fox ever did! Hey, man! I'm hooked with X-men lately and I just want to thank you for this 3 part reading order. I had hard time realizing that almost everything X-men in these formats are out of print. I did some investigation on what to buy to fill up the holes because I don't want to spend 200 on the Fatal Attractions OHCfor example, but I would like to see a video, on what ppl can buy instead of these books. What are the contents of the Milestone editions and what's missing out of them, and if they have missing issues compared to the OHCs, where could we find those issues? I realized that sometimes Marvel prints out the same material, like with Fall of the Mutants, the 2 part tp contains the same, but it's not always like that. Thanks man!
I'm doing an updated video on the channel next year. Including trades and epics. But, I know several books are being reprinted and we let people know on the channel.
Great x-men era for me & i think arnol & silvester stalone movies are to blame for the 90s beeing so extreme with there exaggerate muscles & explosions, we could also put pamela anderson in that conversation for obvious reasons ... But yeah it wasnt just the comics the whole decade was very in youre face
Another cool overview. I'd really like to see you do a similar video with the Wolverine series, that would be dope. Also can you tell me where you saw that X-Men:Eve of Destruction Omnibus solicited? I could not find any info on it.
Thank you so much for watching and I would love to tackle Wolverine. The solicits came from some Amazon fishing. www.amazon.com/X-Men-Eve-Destruction-Marvel-Comics/dp/1302918257/?tag=nearmintcon-20
I remember now why I stopped reading X-Men. Age of Apocalypse was just too big to keep my interest. The year long event and every title being renamed. Marvel was essentially forcing the readers to get anything AoA in order to keep up and it was just too much for me. I was thinking I might start reading the mainline X books again after this was done but by then Onslaught was the next big event and I just didn't care anymore. Like you said getting readers to believe extraordinary things in comics is one thing but having Xavier be the traitor because of something he did to Magneto....It's like bringing back Bucky from Captain America. Once is fine but you keep killing him just to have him return and it gets to be ridiculous. I do love listening /watching your reading order videos because your love/passion for the X books shows. You clearly have an understanding of timelines. At 19:23 of the video is that Humberto Ramos doing pencils or am I just mistaken?
Believe it or not that's not Ramos that is Chris Bachalo and Mark Buckingham. Yeah.... Onslaught made me leave comics for almost 10 years, but I'm back and here to stay this time around.
I really enjoyed the AoA crossover at the time, but you are right that it was all getting a bit much at that point. This was only a few months after they'd done the Phalanx Covenant where every issue was double-sized I think, and this was a real strain on my money at the time. I was out not longer after AoA and didn't come back until Claremont returned.
I wonder if Onslaught shows the reading order of the comics? I was looking and every site is different. In the end is shown? And if so, could you write it here? Thanks
Hi Omar! What is your opinion on a future omnibus collecting Hunt for Professor X, Trial of Gambit, and X-Men Blue and Gold TPBs? Do you think that this might happen?
I can't even lie I loved Onslaught especially as a kid... I just thought he looked so cool. As an adult today I get it but my nostalgia love still exists lol
I haven't thought of that Generation X made for TV movie in years. It was pretty rough. The two things I remember about it is Skin and "Max Headroom" being in it.
Of the ones that I want I'm missing Inferno, Fall of The Mutants and Phalanx Covenant. I'm not as quite a completist as you are but I have probably 15 or so of the hardcovers. Really hope these 3 get reprinted. And if they did some version of Bishop's Crossing / X-Cutioners Song I would more than likely pick that up to. Looking forward to what I hope is a completion of the Nicieza X-Force run coming soon.
I'm new to Omnibus, but older to comics. Before I consider paying extravagant process on the secondary market, I was wondering if there's any word on potential reprints or a potential likelihood for the following titles: -Fatal Attractions -Age of Apocalypse & companion
X-Men Operation Zero Tolerance is right when I stopped reading comics (went away too college). Just recently got back into comics and I would love to get that Hardcover but its out of stock and has become a whale and I don't really want to buy single issues any more. After all these years I always wondered what was up with Bastion?
I think they explained Bastion during the Messiah Complex, but I stopped getting all X titles way before this. If you have read uncanny X-Men it relates to 247 or 8 when Rogue and the master mold got sucked into the Siege Perilous, out came Bastion. At some point.
I’ve watched these videos on the X-men series like 10x each! You should totally do a New Mutants/X-Force video and a X-Factor video. I picked up Mutant Massacre Omnibus after your video and I never knew XFactor started out as the original five X-men! I’d like to see how XFactor and New Mutants turned to what they became
I plan on doing a New Mutants/X-force comprehensive reading order when the third X-force omnibus drops this year. I just wish they would release more X-factor collections though.
I've got mine right after X-men omnibus by jim Lee volume 2. Some stories fit in before X-cutioner's Song, but most after. I will update the reading order this year.
@@NearMintCondition you are seriously such a great guy! Thanks for the answer. I see so many OHC's in the 90's for X-Men. I wonder if they ever will do more straight omni's like they did through most of the Claremont era. Can't wait for the future video!
I was focusing on just Uncanny X-men/X-men and left off the other titles like Wolvie and New Mutants. But the mini happens right around From the Ashes. The rest of the series can be read during issues 236 of Uncanny.
I’ve been interested in age of apocalypse but I have no prior knowledge of x men. Where would you suggest I start without going that far back from age of apocalypse.
Honestly it wouldn't be the worst place to start. The omnibus collects Legionquest and that sets up the events that lead to AoA. Maybe X-men second Genesis Epic since it still in print.
It is an amazing read. As far as being new to X-men, not really. I've had a couple of friends read it as their first X-men book and they didn't have a problem. It's one of my favorite runs of all time and I was going to talk about it on the next video. :)
Dustin. I've done a seperate video on FA and Xcutioners Song and the other books you've mentioned. I will also be doing an overview of Apocalyse the Twelve when it comes out. Check out those videos for page counts and where they fit in. In March of 2020 I will work on this updated list on this Reading order. So keep an eye on the channel.
Yeah that order between phalanx , fatal attractions & the wedding are so weird do u know if theres any particular reason why the issues jump around all over the place story wise ?
Well 315 is the Fall of Avalon so I guess it makes sense to put with Fatal Attractions and then 305 and 306 featured the Phalanx so I guess they were like: "hey we have this Phalanx Omnibus coming out...let's put those issues there." People won't notice.... right...?
I once called Logan a flower. Thankfully, he couldn't reach my face with his pesky little claws to "carve" me. I think he said "carve" cause I couldn't quite understand what he was growling down there. I wanted to buy him a beer, but his cute angry fidgeting in the mug made the brew too foamy and he floated on the surface what with all the bubbles caught in his armhair. He got even more upset... well, as UPset as possible for him... so I gave him a ginger Barbie and I will not continue that story from here on.
Complicated as Hell is probably the simplest explanation of 90s X-Men crossovers.
HAHAHAHAHAH FACT.

Hello I'm commenting about this video since I have a question about two of the Omnibuses that you mention and I need to bring you completely up to date regarding what I have purchased recently and I can't find my original comments. So first to bring you to date:
📍#BattleAngelAlita Last Order I now have all the Omnibuses and individual volumes. So have this to read when I finished the original
Regarding Marvel Omnibuses, hardcover and Trade Paperbooks, I have now got the following:
📍Dark Phoenix Omnibus - I just looking to collect a classic x-men story
📍Guardians Of Galaxy Omnibus - Abnett and Lanning
I have also collected the Annihilation/War of Kings run as follows (note these are new unless stated):
📍Annihilation Complete Volume 1 TPB
📍Annihilation Complete Volime 2 TPB
📍Annihilation: Conquest Omnibus - was OOP so it wasn't that cheap
📍War Of Kings : Prelude Omnibus
📍War Of Kings Omnibus - again OOP so picked up a Very Good condition copy at not too bad a price
📍War Of Kings: Aftermath Omnibus
Also I have the following that are related:
📍Annihilation: Conquest Book One - Hardcover - I started going down the hardcover route because I thought I couldn't find any new copies of Annihilation: Conquest Omnibus that I could afford, of course after I decided to purchase this I did find a copy
📍Rocket Raccoon And Groot Complete Collection - cheap because of small remainder mark that doesn't affect it in any way
So you can see that I have been very busy recently, to say the least!
Now onto a couple of Omnibuses that you mention in this video:
📍X-men: Age of apocalypse Omnibus
📍X-men: Age of apocalypse companion Omnibus
The first one is out as a second printing so still can be bought at a discount, unfortunately the second is OOP and prices are starting to rise. So how vital is the second Omnibus to the complete run/story? Is it something that needs to purchased.
I could purchase for a discount the following remainder copies of the following TPB's that contain all the material in the companion apart from X-Universe 1-2:
📍X-Men: Age of apocalypse: Dawn
📍X-Men: Age of apocalypse: Twlight
So my questions are should I try to get the X-Men : Age of apocalypse companion omnibus if I was looking to complete this story because it does include X-Universe? Or are the TPB's a perfectly adequate replacement even though X-Universe is contained within either of them?

It’s what I do, hermano. :) I’ll be doing an updated one in the coming months.
@@NearMintCondition yesssss, I can’t wait!
Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister are my favorite Xmen characters
That is a good point that it wasn't just comic books. It was everything that was EXTREME!
Hey dude can you do an updated version? It would be awesome?
I'm going to when we get the most recent OHCs at the end of the year. I promise, as this one is a year old.

@@NearMintCondition Thanks, I also recommend this site:

Near Mint Condition thanks I hope more off these get a reprint well needed
@@aminaishaq173 Same here!
Another great video!!! Look forward to hearing your thoughts on some of the recent releases like Mutant X and Soldier X ....
I just hope they finish out Mutant X and don't just give us a volume 1.
This video is very helpful thanks. Also nice one on the star Fox music.
My man, you got some damn great ears.
Have the issues from A Skinning of Souls XMen Vol. 2 17 - 24 been collected in any omnibus ? How important are those issues to the continuity ?
You do some of the best videos thx Omar and have a great day.
Thank you for the compliment, sir.
I'm thinking they will for sure. It's X-men. They sell. Perhaps a few years down the road.
I remember Emma Frost, but I always remember Emma. :)
YES! That Cable and X-force book! All over that!
The Wolverine/Flower Identity Crisis was real!
Yes it was.
I'm new to Omnibus, but older to comics. Before I consider paying extravagant process on the secondary market, I was wondering if there's any word on potential reprints or a potential likelihood for the following titles:
-Fatal Attractions
-Age of Apocalypse & companion
100% there is always a chance those get reprinted.
Does anyone know if Marvel is going to re release Fall of Mutants, Inferno, Jim lee 1 and 2 omnibuses?
Will they finish Xmen from 175-209.
I'm sure they will finish out 175-209, but as I stated in my first video....will they do it in one omnibus or two.
I'm sure Inferno will be their next rerelease as an omnibus during era. Much like they did this week with Mutant Massacre.
just wondering if you have videos on comprehensive reading order of marvel events? or avengers?
Avengers is coming this summer. Marvel Events... ohh hell that could be fun.
hey who's the artist for that page on 2:33???
That's Jae Lee. The guy i was talking about who's Wolverine I thought was a flower. :)
Awww cool yeah I'm familiar with him just never knew he did some X-Men stuff! thanks@@NearMintCondition
@@timglover31 Anytime.
That's Jae Lee again.
Is X-Men vs Apocalypse: The Twelve a stand alone read? Or do I need prior reading to understand the story?
Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much for watching.
X-Men Operation Zero Tolerance is right when I stopped reading comics (went away too college). Just recently got back into comics and I would love to get that Hardcover but its out of stock and has become a whale and I don't really want to buy single issues any more. After all these years I always wondered what was up with Bastion?
I'm sure they will reprint the OHC as an omnibus. :) just a matter of the waiting game.
I think they explained Bastion during the Messiah Complex, but I stopped getting all X titles way before this. If you have read uncanny X-Men it relates to 247 or 8 when Rogue and the master mold got sucked into the Siege Perilous, out came Bastion. At some point.
Marvelous!
Oh yeah.
Near Mint Condition yeah I wish there was more X-Factor also. I guess most of where it’s collected, oversized at least is in these volumes...
Is this a decent place to start?
Omar where does Shattershot fit in? I was thinking of getting it but did not see it on any of the videos.
Where does the wolverine Omni by Chris Claremont come in, or is it not part of the line up?
I was focusing on just Uncanny X-men/X-men and left off the other titles like Wolvie and New Mutants. But the mini happens right around From the Ashes. The rest of the series can be read during issues 236 of Uncanny.
Ol' Random with the sphincter handgun...
I was so disappointed in the retcon they gave his origin.
Which AOA omnibus in your collection portrays the sugar man? I see 2 books..
The age of apocalypse Omnibus. That’s the one you want. Not the one that says companion.
@@NearMintCondition thanks for the info. Appreciate it
Do i have to read Legion's quest and the companion omnibus, or can I just read Age of Apocalypse by itself?
You can completely read AoA by itself and really enjoy it.
Ok thanks
X-Men X-Cutioner's Song > [X-Men Shattershot?] > The Uncanny X-Men Fatal Attractions
is it okay collecting the milestones version of these omnubuses?
You are 100% good collecting the Milestones.
@@NearMintCondition just watch your review on them and that's probably what I can afford, thanks
Hi Omar,
I would like to know your opinion about astonishing X-men by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday ? Is a good read to someone new to X-men ?
Thanks
It is an amazing read. As far as being new to X-men, not really. I've had a couple of friends read it as their first X-men book and they didn't have a problem. It's one of my favorite runs of all time and I was going to talk about it on the next video. :)
Thanks for replying.
Looking forward to the next video!!
Hey There Omar! Can you please share the page count of Fatal Attractions?
And The page count for x-cutioners song too please!
Also where does the dark phoenix saga fit into this order?
and where does Shattershot fit in?
And is X men vs. Apocalypse the twelve it's own storyline or where does it fit into the reading order?
Well 315 is the Fall of Avalon so I guess it makes sense to put with Fatal Attractions and then 305 and 306 featured the Phalanx so I guess they were like: "hey we have this Phalanx Omnibus coming out...let's put those issues there." People won't notice.... right...?
Lol .. I guess it makes some sence
Onslaught broke me. I got some of the Heroes Reborn stuff that came after, but yeah I left comics totally until Morrison’s New X-Men.
Well, we just became instant best friends. This is the exact same time I left and came back to comics.
@@NearMintCondition I never forgave them for how they "resolved" the X-traitor plot line haha
Can I start with x cutioners song and not be super confused?
I mean you can and it could get a little confusing, but Nicieza does a great job of giving quick synopsis of whos who.
How do you believe they'll make an omni out of xcutioner fatal attractions shatter shot etc
Well, Shattershot is finally coming out. But I think when they get resolicited that Xcutioner's and Fatal will become omnis.
You the shit Omar
Wow. That's my childhood.
Same here, brother. Same here.
@@NearMintCondition I totally didnt realize i commented on this 5 months ago. lol
That's awesome!
The upcoming "Eve Of Destruction" hardcover isn't listed on Amazon as being an omnibus...which doesn't necessarily mean that it won't be. Just sayin'.
I guess it could be like the Wedding of Cyclops of Phoenix. I just wish that it was all the same spines.
What About X-Men Curse Of The Mutant. Because Is it When Jubilee Become a Vampire?
Sadly never collected in OHC or Omnibus editions.
You see a flower right? Beautiful poetry.
@@NearMintCondition He went "bub" when I stepped on him.
Where is Xmen 2099 ???
Dood.... there hasn't been a damn collection of any 2099 title, except for Spidey and his run isn't even finished yet.
You ain't moron.. 😅 That is not wolverine on the screen & it's a flower pot 😂 count me in
Right?
I dont know what to do about the fact that every time you say x-men, I hear x-man. I love your videos, but it's driving me insane.
lol I catch myself too. My damn mouth goes too quick!
Hahaha I tried making some videos and half the things I said, I couldn't understand when listening back to myself. You're doing great otherwise !
Thank you!
