Kinda late with my reply, but I have the exact same 1.9L magnuson supercharger with a BTR stage 3 truck cam, and TCI 2800 stall converter and I made 573 at the rear wheels. I recommend you check the duty on your injectors and the fuel pressure at your blower. You dont seem to be getting the power out of that blower that you should. Granted I have a 5.3 in my Silverado, but that's to much of a gap in power. You're basically getting crank horsepower at the wheels and that means only a 8-15% power increase from the blower. Also, PULLEY UPGRADES!!! Seriously. But if you're pleased with your results, by all means ride out. I'm not bashing your truck or build by any means, I just think you can get much more power than you are getting from this build. One last thing, what heads are you running on the 4.8? If I remember correctly, there was 2 or 3 castings that were horribly restrictive and that is the best way of unleashing extra ponies with forced induction. Oh! And 1 7/8 long tubes! Forgot about that one. Have fun. Nice build and like I said before, just some suggestions to maybe help you get a little more power.
Appreciate it! In the video we do make mention up downsizing the pulley, which we did later and got more power. This was only about 5.5 pounds in it, which is light. We down-sized the pulley, more boost and re-tuned before the new owner got it. It has been doing well now.
Perfect stance, I'm gonna have to copy tire size and drop. I need tires, and have the same truck, other than a 408 stroker, I've thought about a blower, but already a handful. Big thanks, it's just the way I want mine to look
I originally felt like those HP guesses were low. I mean cam, exhaust, Cold air intake, etc should net a 4.8 north of 300 whp. I would expect more after a blower. But, I guess they didn't increase injector size or pump size and also depends on what fuel they are running.
Yes, but remember, we are only at 5.5 pounds of boost which is light. It will go to a smaller pulley next week, to get 9.5 pounds of boost. Injectors are bigger and have more to give when we up the boost, without changing them. Just pump gas here.
