  • Today's video is a review of two micellar waters. In the ring, we have Simple Micellar Cleansing Water vs. Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar. The Sensibio is a bit more expensive, but does it work better? Hm! ⤵️⤵️⤵️ OPEN FOR MORE!

    MICELLAR WATERS USED
    🍬 Simple Micellar Cleansing Water ($8.99 for 13.5fl oz / 400ml): bit.ly/2i4PMOc (Target)
    🍬 Bioderma Sensibio H2O ($14.90 for 16.7fl oz / 500ml): amzn.to/2jzGH0q (Amazon), bit.ly/2BBNiQe (Dermstore)
    🍬 Shiseido Facial Cotton ($10 for 165 pads): bit.ly/2i6QTwT (Sephora)
    Note, the price of Bioderma has come down a lot! I remember it used to be closer to $20+! For this $14.90 pricetag, it's only about 30% more expensive than the Simple on a per/ml basis which is not too bad! Also, checkout Dermstore for coupons--you can usually get 15-25% off! That being said, in France, it was like EUR15 for 2 big bottles of Bioderma--a LOT cheaper and a definite worthy buy!

    What a useful video! I've always used the Bioderma but nice to know there's a comparable alternative. Thanks Joanna :)

    I love Bioderma and feel like it’s worth it. I use it to clean up make up mistakes and it doesn’t leave a “film” on my skin. Thanks for the comparison on efficacy.

    Bioderma is my preferred micellar water. It's readily available here in Canada too.

    Should I be using micellar water or my low pH cleanser on days where I don't wear make up? Also I read u don't have to wash off micellar water... What is ur opinion on that?

    If you like trying different micellar waters, try out the La Roche Posay water. It's a lil expensive, $20 for 400ml. I got sensitive skin and it's dry right now. It does not leave a greasy film. One downsize, it is not the best for waterproof which I do not really wear so I don't mind. So glad you uploaded again!

      thanks for the tip! i bet the la roche posay is also very affordable if you're ever in france!

    How do the ingredients compare to each other?

    Just FYI if you're in Canada, we get a lot of French brands at our big chain pharmacy stores, including Bioderma, Avene, LRP, Klorane, etc. A 2-pack of the 500ml size Bioderma micellar water is $30 at the store right now, while a 200ml bottle of simple is ~$8. Sure, it's probably more expensive here than in France with importing, currency exchanges and all that, but I find it's a reasonable mark-up, especially when buying in bulk makes it reasonably inexpensive.

      Yea! Shoppers drug mart has been carrying these brands for a long time.! I noticed LRP is now much more present in the USA. It used to also be a lot pricier, but since they now have LRP-USA it’s come down a lot in price. Some products still are pricey though.

    I live in Canada and it's impossible to find the simple bottle in that size
    I'd love to buy it in that size because I'm an eco minimalist and I prefer to buy things in bigger bottles

    Haven't tried simple. I would prefer no smell. I always stock up bioderma in France.

    The major difference is how you going to use therm... If you use micellar water as a toner, to just remove the left over make up of your face after washing, then maybe the bioderma is better, because has anti-aging ingredients, has the right pH for our skin and is very smoth. But if you're going to use just to clean your face and then wash it off, any micellar water is going to be good enough.

    Did you find that one of the might have been more drying than the other?

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому +6

      since i don't ever just use micellar and call it a night, i can't really say if one was more drying. i always do a second cleanse after micellar (or at least rinse it off) and then follow-up with skincare routine which includes moisturizing. therefore, no difference from my perspective on dryness!

    I've used both and I do still prefer the bioderma. right now I am trying the garnier micellar water and you have to shake it before you use it because the oil in it separates. bioderma is in my immediate future!!!!!!!!!!!

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 років тому

      haha yeah, i didn't even bother ever to try the garnier one. i've never liked any of their products before! agree, i prefer the bioderma too though from a performance standpoint, i couldn't see any difference. more just from the feel and enjoyment of use :)

      Vickie Jones, Garnier has 3 different types of Micellar water... You must of bought the one to remove water proof mascara ... I use the others and love it....

    You should try the new CeraVe micellar water! It’s got some lovely ingredists! I️ just tired it but unfortunately it caused my eyes to burn slightly. I️ prefer the bioderma. But, this could work for others!

    I don’t use any of these but it was hard to watch you remove the flawless makeup 😫. I be keeping my makeup longer than it should be because I thought it was lit 🔥; I should probably stop doing that😝
