Great review, not many Rift reviews out there. Thx! Today I took my Ride1Up LMTD on a ride until the battery died. Died at 40.6 volts, 19.5 miles, 14 AH 672 watt hour battery, torque sensor ebike. Bike has 2300 miles, and 16 months old.
I just got a rift and did a range test yesterday. ended up at 42 miles before i switched over to my second battery. i didnt run my first one down all the way to 0 either, only until i saw a dip in power. I stayed in PAS 5 going 28 the whole time. I think not staying in the highest gear nets you more human power and offsets the battery usage to get you more range.
Electric Bike report got 43 miles in PAS 5 so it might be worth it to check if your battery’s charging fully. A few defected cells and range decreases dramatically. Thank you
Thanks for the heads up. I don't see how they possibly achieved that range. My wife and I both own the Rift and both get the same range. Since this video I've even added a second 20ah battery to the Rift and get just barely over 40 miles now with double the battery.
I'm using an Android app called GPS Test. It's been the most accurate I've found so far. Enjoy your new e-bike! play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest
@@RiverbedRidesthanks for the reply. Was it a noticeable difference? I really enjoy the swooped backed handle bars but love the multi functionality of this bike

@@RiverbedRides go figure…
I don’t want to think that they faked the range to get more people to use their affiliate link 😩
Curious, what GPS app are you using. I'm buying a e-bike this weekend and would like to use one. Thanks for the video

@@RiverbedRides Ended up choosing the Mokwheel Obsidian in black and red. Love it so far
@@westroth7617 Nice choice! How's that full suspension treating you?
@@RiverbedRides Love it. Rides really nice on the street as well as on the trail.
How tall are you? I want this bike but I don’t like the handle bar position.
@@beau4526 I'm 6' 2". I added a riser to the handlebars because I also didn't like the position.

@@beau4526 I put this stem on the bike and it helped a ton. amzn.to/3WUaaWQ
I was able to raise the handle bars as well as push them away from me in a more comfortable position.
you deserve more subscribers, i dont even put in this much effort and I have more?
That might be one of the sweetest things anyone has ever said....
@@RiverbedRides your amazing, thanks for all the work you put into your videos!
