The name Lucifer appears in some bibles but it's NOT a direct translation from Hebrew to English. Never has been. The original term is "Helel Ben Sahar." And the correct translation from Hebrew to English would be "Shining One, Son of Dawn" which is a reference to the planet Venus. The Latin translators misinterpreted that phrase to be a personal name and called it Lucifer. People never bring this up..
I very much agree with you. And if I may add, the theory of “Lucifer falling from heaven”, is just the cycle of Venus. I’m not versed in scripture so please excuse my terminology. So scripture says something along the lines that Lucifer was a high up angel that became unruly and tried to take the throne but was instead cast down from the heavens. So with Venus being known as the morning star which is rising as we see it in the mornings before it is blocked out by the light of the sun, that could have used metaphorically as the “fall from heaven”.
when comparing Greek and Hebrew the two names just don't add up. Isaiah 14:12 reads more like "son-star of the morning" while Revelation 22:16 translates to 'a radiant star lighting up a morning sky'. They are similar, but to say that they are "both morning stars" feels like a weak interpretation.

I also like a take I heard where if Lucifer before the fall is this prime creation tasked to reflect the glory back onto God as if some is passing like the suns light, he starts to get the taste for it and starts envisioning himself receiving it like where he reflects it, which could very much spark an arrogance and delusion. Ok, you mentioned original Hebrew, therefore, you should know that Satan is referred to like 5 or 7 times with twice being referred to as humans and the others as angels. Hence Satan is used here as a synonym for Adversary. Original Hebrew never believed in one big bad entity that rules hell. That's a Christian thing.

The name Lucifer appears in some bibles but it's NOT a direct translation from Hebrew to English. Never has been. The original term is "Helel Ben Sahar." And the correct translation from Hebrew to English would be "Shining One, Son of Dawn" which is a reference to the planet Venus. The Latin translators misinterpreted that phrase to be a personal name and called it Lucifer. People never bring this up..

So scripture says something along the lines that Lucifer was a high up angel that became unruly and tried to take the throne but was instead cast down from the heavens.
So with Venus being known as the morning star which is rising as we see it in the mornings before it is blocked out by the light of the sun, that could have used metaphorically as the “fall from heaven”.

when comparing Greek and Hebrew the two names just don't add up. Isaiah 14:12 reads more like "son-star of the morning" while Revelation 22:16 translates to 'a radiant star lighting up a morning sky'. They are similar, but to say that they are "both morning stars" feels like a weak interpretation.

I also like a take I heard where if Lucifer before the fall is this prime creation tasked to reflect the glory back onto God as if some is passing like the suns light, he starts to get the taste for it and starts envisioning himself receiving it like where he reflects it, which could very much spark an arrogance and delusion. Ok, you mentioned original Hebrew, therefore, you should know that Satan is referred to like 5 or 7 times with twice being referred to as humans and the others as angels. Hence Satan is used here as a synonym for Adversary. Original Hebrew never believed in one big bad entity that rules hell. That's a Christian thing.

You stopped talking about linguistics and history halfway through the video so you could jump to the, "Jesus is great!" part. Lucifer loosely translates to "bringer of light" or "light bearer". Before the Christ, he was the morning star. So while they both use the name in different contexts, the name Lucifer kind of... fell off, because the Satan, or adversary, wasn't the Light Bearer anymore. It's a matter of 2 different ideologies, 2 different bibles, and 200 different translations into English.
