As I understand the laws of Philippines. I would feel vulnerable and naked there. Thank you guys for all the information.
I don't own a gun in U.S nor am i scared to walk my neighborhood. i have no issue with guns except military type weapon they should be ban in Philippines mass killing rare. You can't carry a gun Philippines as a citizen unless there a need police security guard etc yet there are a lot of guns there.
I had my Aortic valve replaced. The main heart valve had been deformed since I was a kid, and they never noticed it. The day after the surgery I was up and around with more energy than I had when I was a teenager. My family couldn't believe it. I was cleared and released on the third day after the surgery. Restoring blood flow has an amazing effect on how you feel and your energy levels. I guess it's more noticeable because the loss of energy is very gradual over time... then you have a procedure that restores that lost blood flow and you feel very energized.

I was shocked but not really surprised hearing Dennis was a victim of a serious home invasion and assault in US. I've thought about this since our possible retirement in Mindanao. I think that Filipinos are allowed to purchase and own a gun legally, but don't know the process? Have you two thought of self protection much there? Let us know. Stay Safe.
When I was stationed at Clark Air Base in Pampanga (Angeles City), there were incidents where people would inject some kind of gas from a spray can through the AC intake filter. It would put the residents out completely while they slept, then they would break in and rob them. The occupants never knew what happened until they woke up the next day.
Dennis and Marissa, Get an old wallet and an old purse and put a bunch of junk documents sbout 200 pesos in them. Then at night hide your real purse and wallet somewhere and put the fake ones so that they are easily visible. This way if robbers come at night they will quickly take the fake things and small amount of money while your real things are safe.

Best to keep your doors closed and locked at night…and secure your property…like your ladders outside ….iam here in England and I always have doors locked day and night..Cus you never know when it can happen.

Even tho im an old girl now my parents always told stories of robberies. In my dads elderly years he had a lot of money. He had a Rolls Royce and he said many times he got followed and it scared him. So ive always been afraid of even my shadow. I know God hears our prayers. I will be praying for you and your family. They kept my husband another nite at hospital. He has been Diabetic 2 for years. And now at.hosp they started giving him insulin.😢

Stay safe guys. Make sure you lock all doors before going to bed. If possible install CCTV inside and outside. I hope that more presence of the police patrolling at night.
