I wouldn't have accepted any other arrangement for two reasons. 1. I couldn't imagine not seeing my boy on a regular basis(I see him two or three days during the week and every other weekend) and 2. I wanted to make sure he was properly provided for which he is at both of our homes The only financial arrangement my ex and I have is that she has to pay me monthly half of what it costs me for my son's health insurance since he's on my insurance at work. If a couple is not married it should be mandatory in every state that a DNA test be taken so this situation does not occur. Some women might not agree but I would believe those are the ones that have doubt on who their father of the baby is. If you have no doubt there should be no issue with the DNA test for court records

If you’ve watched Paternity Court, you know that when a man signs papers claiming paternity, birth certificate etc. he is legally responsible for the child. Even if he’s not the dna dad. If you’re married and have a child, the husband is always presumed to be the father. Even if he isn’t and even if a dna test proves you aren’t, there’s no guarantee that a court in your home state will let you off of child support. There are men who’ve paid child support for years and found out they’re not the father. They may never get that money back. Sad but true.

    Protests & marches should prevail
This is important .. so many females. Looking for a paycheck and having multiple partners and also the males are having multiple partners and innocent children are being conceived because many of you were playing games accountability and honesty and innocence are three strong words here but no man should pay or be obligated if he is not biologically related I believe the mother should have made some arrangements to reimburse the man she was a nurse and I’m sure she could have afforded to give him some type of reimbursement over the years in good faith but as we can see if she had an agenda to and she was very selfish Guys pay attention everything that looks good it’s not always good for you once again Judge I truly enjoy the freshness of your presentation in regards to child support thank you keep up the good work

Yes I knew and was reading about this in 1996. Playboy magazine with the cover of Mia St. John in 1996 ran articles explaining how once the role of father has been adopted that States will do things to force you maintain that role if later, it is discovered you are not the biological father. The thing to know is that DNA testing should probably be routine, especially if you and the mother of the child are not married.

I feel bad for for the child because it was his fault, but he lost the only dad he ever new.

You ain’t heard crazy until you hear my husband’s story or my step brother’s story. Long story short after my husband and his ex wife were separated for 10+ years and he faithfully paid child support that entire time and refused to let him have any contact or visitation with the boys she went and got knocked up by some 70+ yo man who owned his own construction company but intentionally didn’t have him sign the birth certificate because she knew she could sock my husband with more child support because they were technically still legally married even though she lied to him when they got married and used some else’s ssn with her name at a fast wedding place in Las Vegas. We didn’t even notice his child support went up almost $200+ every week until we got an attorney for a reduction and the attorney asked why we didn’t disclose the 3rd child.
My step brother got his ex pregnant at 16yo and then their second child when she was 18yo so instead of being another statistic he quickly got his ged and joined the military. His ex was ummm a few screws short so while my step brother went through basic training she ended up cheating on him and had a miscarriage and convinced everyone that she didn’t know she was pregnant before he left. We had no reason to think otherwise. So fast forward to my step brother graduating boot camp and getting a two week leave before being shipped to Alaska. Plan was my step brother goes out to Alaska and finds them housing and such, and while he was doing that the military pays movers to pack your house up and ship everything by boat to Alaska. It took a little longer then planned like 3 months. So after my step brother left to Alaska, about a month later she suddenly has another miscarriage and I went to the er with her. Turns out she was pregnant with twins and lost one but thankfully the other one was still viable but there were no guarantees that she would carry to full term. So with that it was best to wait for her to get past the critical first trimester before she had to endure a 2 day flight with a toddler and 1yo and high risk pregnancy. Fast forward to her carrying to about 31 weeks and out comes a baby with a darker skin complexion. We are not racist and I will prove that in about 2 seconds. Obviously ensue my step brother immediately freaked out and he was more heartbroken then angry as he had been waiting years for a boy only for her to have a boy and never told him she cheated on him with my step brother’s black bff from 3rd grade to that day. Now to show you the kind of man my step brother is, even though clearly the baby was not his within 24hours he did not hesitate to still sign the birth certificate and nobody was ever going to tell him that baby was not his. About 8 months later he caught her cheating on him with their neighbor and he was going to try and work it out until someone called his big boss because the baby had been crying for hours and it sounded like the girls obviously toddlers were being thrown around because they were running a muck while she was passed out drunk by 11am. So they gave her an ultimatum either go to rehab or find housing off base and sign custody of the 3 kids over to my brother and she could have supervised visits every other weekend or she could come back to FL with the kids and live with her mom and sign temporary custody of the kids to her mom. She ended up choosing her mom and sadly it wasn’t 6 months before her mom was kicking her out because she was getting drunk and would become physically violent and it was putting the children at risk. When my brother did his 4 years and came home he ended up getting custody of the kids but until they actually went to court and got a divorce he legally had to pay child support on all 3 kids. About 5 years later the baby boy’s biological father got out of prison and wanted custody of his son and unfortunately because that is his biological son there was nothing my brother could do unless he could prove his biological dad was an unfit parent.

Child support will harrass, seize monies, and jail the dads. But when the kid is found to not be the father's....they say sorry about your luck....go to civil court. Which is what child support is supposed to be in the first place. The system needs fixed.

So even if you sign the AOT, get the DNA test before they're 4.
