He would stand a decent chance against terminators. The problem arrises when he uses his power on the terminatos themselves. With the newer terminator models, he would be able to just pull them apart with magnetism, but the original t-800s are made of an alloy thats nonmagnetic, so hed have to use other bits of metal to cut them up or break them
Bijaya In complete fairness though, the terminators still threw people around in those two as well. The first terminator punches through a guy’s chest but then just throws the guy next to him away. And then with Ginger’s boyfriend, he just throws him around the room instead of just breaking his neck. Same thing in T2, “Uncle Bob” even though he’s the good terminator, was still content on killing people until John told him not to, so when he fought those guys in the bar, he still could have just killed them all be instead throws them around some more. Ironically T3 and TS were the only ones that actually had justifiable reasons for the terminators throwing people but those are the only ones people complain about.
In the first 2 terminator movies, I was constantly on edge for the safety of good guys, they seemed helpless . In this one, it’s opposite, I am worried for the terminator. It was ganged up, tossed around like a rag, hopelessly trying to reach its target.

I look at the comments of this movie and then I look at the comments of T2 Judgement Day and I see why T2 is just a pure masterpiece. @Fluffybrute Which is fine, but that takes away what makes a terminator, well, a terminator. They're terrifying because theyre impassive, inhuman, and unstoppable. Honestly, I think the REV-9 is a good 'evil' terminator. It is powerful but not insanely OP like the T-X or any later models like the T-3000/5000. When they get too OP, the movie becomes dumb because the terminator could just kill the target on sight. I guess Rev 9s deal is that it mimics emotions and other human behaviour really well to blend in and can exploit them to accomplish its goal like how at the border prison when it was being friendly with the guards to get to its target without resistance. Its propably the first terminator that does not always use brute force as the number one option.
That's exactly what I thought. I'm like dude, it's exactly shit like this why Terminator movies are just so cliched. Why would you throw a rev 9 on some random ass wall if you know it's not gonna work. This "Final battle" although looked very cool and all, was just so poorly planned.
That flaw is also in T2. Why not throw the T-1000 in the molten steel, instead of shooting him? I'm referring to when he was frozen by liquid nitrogen. Yes, there would still be bits of him left behind, but not really enough to do anything all that effective. If there any problems with my argument, please let me know.
At no point in the movie is it shown why she's a good leader, or why she's needed for the resistance to flourish. Hell, even when they show her "grown-up" version, her entire speech is "people shouldn't hurt people", which has to be the single most simplistic reasoning for why she's needed. NO ONE ELSE THOUGHT "hunting humans while machines exterminate humanity is stupid"? And this final fight exemplifies just how unneeded she is: every other character here is ready to lay down their lives, to put aside old hatreds and fight against the unkillable machine, but their 'leader'? She's content to watch them all sacrifice themselves over her. In any other movie, she'd be the villain: the one who gets others killed just so she can make it to see another day.

Skynet was like: " i don't know why i try anymore hoenstly. No matter how much we upgrade our terminators the T-800 always wins i don't know why i even try."
See, what would have made a better movie would have been Legion, an offshoot of Skynet (like their R&D division) decided they could do a better job of destroying humanity and they turn against Skynet and become a 3rd faction, Then it would be a 3-way battle for the future of who would rule the world.
SKYNET piloted by Hollywood: Keeps iterating on designs yet always fails due to T-800 being the better design. SKYNET piloted by a newbie roleplayer: Sends one T-800 back every few weeks for 10 years prior to John Connor being born and thus has an army of T-800s when John is born. Kills him with the opening monologue.
letting aside any critics about the film, this Rev-9 terminator is an absolute unit. If the movie tells us that in the future, humanity wins a war against an army of this type of machines, they can very well introduce us to Peter Pan and Winnie the Poo. Not a f''''ing chance we win against such a powerhouse, i mean wtf .

You know what? Unpopular opinion: I actually really enjoyed the concept of Rev-9 as a Terminator. He's basically a T-X but doubled down on the Liquid Metal with Endo concept. His Endoskeleton is not as durable as others, sure, but he is FAR more flexible than any other Terminator with Endoskeleton, since his joints can bend and twist in opposite directions. Also Rev-9 had to actually fight 3 separate people who has experience in fighting Terminators, or they are just another Terminators at all. I firmly believe that if it wasn't for the writing, Rev 9 could have killed Dany in their first encounter with no problem.
Same thoughts, great ideas bad execution. Like this Terminator is supposed to be super charismatic but they're not written creatively enough to matter. He could create it. We forget about it because he only use that once. So we pretend he is the same as T1000 but capable to split into 2
He is able to smoothly doing conversation with a human better than any T series, Able to create complex weapon like a handgun, Also able to split into 2 beings with both having T1000 and T800 strength. But he got defeated with dora protagonist, a depressed grandma, a drug addicted salvation cyborg, and family lover terminator. Wtf man
@@3takoyakis When did it ever create a weapon?
@@Ritiwayra I think he's referring to the part where he talks to the brother and says, "hijo, te olvidaste de tu almuerzo" or something, which translates to "son, you forgot your lunch." Not sure if it was in English or Spanish at this point, but anyways, the lunch bag then just transforms into a gun. It didn't create the gun, just the lunch bag appearance over it.
Not even that would over come this amount of plot armor.

I miss when the evil terminators were actually a threat
Honestly, I think the REV-9 is a good 'evil' terminator. It is powerful but not insanely OP like the T-X or any later models like the T-3000/5000. When they get too OP, the movie becomes dumb because the terminator could just kill the target on sight.
By comparison, the T-1000, while strong and being liquid metal, had weaknesses and was more prone to interference from being shot than the earlier T-800 line, and slightly weaker as well. Basically, the Terminators are better if they have some weakness.
Arnie in T1 was a perfect Terminator. His character was spot on. Silent. Menacing. Deadly. Strong. Constantly moving. Emotionless face.
@@tylerjohn4607 www.cbr.com/terminator-dark-fate-rev-9-deadly-dumb/
@@whiskii Yes he is strong and powerful. But he's NOT the Hulk or Superman! He can be destroyed and he's not indestructible not even the T-1000. The T-800 is vulnerable to getting crushed and plasma weapons while the T-1000 can be destroyed by melting temperatures.

I know at this point the story is so convoluted but I did like the action scenes in this one.
They relied too much on CGI in this one. And some of the CGI wasn't even that great.
It feels like every franchise that has time travel involved becomes convoluted overtime nowadays

@@darkopz Totally disagree. I wasn't even aware of people finding this "woke". I think some people are too trigger happy to complain when they see a film that doesn't have an all white, non challenging film. People feigning fatigue at "woke" films are the reason we need more "woke" films. And by woke I mean racially and culturally diverse.
@@JayNewtonJr I stand with Andrew on this one.
Doesn't matter the color of the cast and it never has, is diversity encouraged? Sure.
But no, that isn't what they meant by woke. They meant woke as in forcing a sort of "gah society" kinda aspect. To assume it's about diversity is rather ignorant. I'm all for that, but it just isn't the topic of the discussion.
However, to touch on that topic briefly. I don't like it when it's forced EXPRESSLY to say "hey our movie is diverse! Watch it" cause at that point it's just corporate appealing. Y'know?
I'd rather it seem natural.

rev 9 was reeeeallly good unit
watch how he talks to military, its really smooth and not cringy like any T units
_they just bound by stupid rules that target must be died by their hands and only targetting target when in combat_

I guess Rev 9s deal is that it mimics emotions and other human behaviour really well to blend in and can exploit them to accomplish its goal like how at the border prison when it was being friendly with the guards to get to its target without resistance. Its propably the first terminator that does not always use brute force as the number one option.
the machine has a name: Tommy.
The only reason I watched this movie was out of respect to Arnold
Me too brother... I watched this whole movie in theater only because of respect for Arnold... 👍
Strangely, he was the worst part of it for me. And when the quickest way to improve a terminator movie is by removing the T-800, you know shit's bad
But Arnold has no respect at all to the franchise. He just signs up for every sequel everytime he is asked, no matter what

Yes that's what I thought
Yea why not throw in the spinning machine
That's exactly what I thought. I'm like dude, it's exactly shit like this why Terminator movies are just so cliched. Why would you throw a rev 9 on some random ass wall if you know it's not gonna work. This "Final battle" although looked very cool and all, was just so poorly planned.
Now thinking about that, this movie is just more terrible
That flaw is also in T2. Why not throw the T-1000 in the molten steel, instead of shooting him? I'm referring to when he was frozen by liquid nitrogen. Yes, there would still be bits of him left behind, but not
really enough to do anything all that effective. If there any problems with my argument, please let me know.
“I’m not running”
*did absolutely nothing against the terminator the whole movie*

You know what? Unpopular opinion:
I actually really enjoyed the concept of Rev-9 as a Terminator.
Like what if every time the rev-9 saw their Target it would turn into their loved ones to psychologically scar them in the case of dany it would be her father or brother.
And For Sarah it would be John.
