If you're looking for an opening that will win you the respect of your peers, look much further.
3min video
75% actual chess
25% explaining the meaning of life
Its more likely, the chess is 25% im sick of his method.
So the meaning of life is that I suck? 😪
50% chess / 50% roast. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
I love that half the video consist of making me feel bad for learning this 😂
😂👍
It's a very passive opening
Guilty as charged 😅
Guilty as charged 😅
Git gud
One of the best chess tutorials. We need the Queens Gambit btw.
"... Solid position for the middlegame every time."
That's the reason I use it. It had also made it so that I preferred playing black, as this opening has made white formulaic. Now I play the French.
Ben you magnificent bastard.
Also I play the Advanced variation so your argument doesn't apply.
If I were an e4 player, which I'm not, and my opponent opened with the French, I would feel very good about my chances. I'm just a punter, though, so one reading of "My System" and "Blockade" and Nimzo had me thinkin' Black might as well resign after 1. e4 e6.
This video has reaffirmed my pride as a London player. Can you do the Caro-Kann next?
I like your last name
@@l1585 the last name has been canceled, Twitter has dubbed it racist by rewriting history to make her a black stereotype even though she was an actual women playing the character and who enjoyed her job
@@Garrillagamer damn my comment doesn't make sense anymore. Before the commenter changed their name, their last name was L
@@l1585
What was their last name?
This wasn't just a very funny video; it was actually dense with accurate and useful chess knowledge too. One of these days I will at least try the London System.
By the way, once you get into the London system you can find that it's actually a bit intricate. You can turn it into a queen's gambit, go for a fried liver and according to the situation, if they offer you a bishop trade you can take it with the knight(not always). Not to mention the London system kind of has a different structure against the king's Indian.
turned dark real quick
You just described this beautifully. I just wasted 10 minutes with another video but I could’ve just watched this!
A friend who originally wasn’t as good at me at chess, did some studying and now they can wreck me. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
All the best dude how u doing now?
I watched that 10 min video 100 times still could not remember the London system watched this video two times memorised the London system
What a speech. Gave me chills. And I live in London!
I was 50/50 on learning this opening until this video and you have without a shadow of doubt proven to me that it is for me.
This is the best thing I’ve ever seen
This is genuinely the funniest chess content on UA-cam, I hope you do a video on the English soon!
I was excited to learn a new opening, dont know if I should feel guilty or even more excited after this video.
I've never learned a chess opening so quickly
Your channel is underrated! Love your work continue!
I've got a feeling that this man has a thing for the london system..
Single handedly the best chess tutorial I've ever seen🤣🤙👌
Dude.. I like your commentary! Finally something unique.
There's a way out of that tunnel though, it's called the Rapport-Jobava London.
Guilty
Thats the most fucking funny chess video I've ever seen
Why does this dude's super dark humor seems like an ideal to strive towards?
Lmao fr
Never has a video reached described the sad depravity of my chess games so well.
I'm inspired to give up chess after this
That was, um, different. Overall good
This channel is amazing.
Wow, unexpected but on the other hand, it was cheaper than counseling. Thanks!
It took me several times of watching this video (like probably eight or so) before I caught the joke at 1:31 that he slips in under his breath. It fits perfectly with the rest of the video
Wow, this video made me think of the UA-cam channel 'exurb1a'. It has the same vibe and sense of humor, but it's about chess instead of physics. Great work man, I learnt something and I laughed the whole time!
Cheers from France.
Time to learn the queen's gambit
Clicked to see someone roast the London System for 3 minutes. Was not disappointed
Never seen your videos before but this got me to sub
Same
“Maybe you should take it”
I feel personally attacked
This hit me. All true
Man you're so fucking underrated
I've been playing this for a while without knowing the name
dayam throwin shade at xQc
looks pretty good, think i'll try it out
Great content. Thank you very much.
the ten dislikes are from the people who carefully looked at 1:48
underrated channel
MORE CONTENT PLEASE
Best video on London system…specially the second half as you start questioning yourself 😂
You should make a chess tutorial on the Alekhine Defence!
I feel attacked
This guy would be a terrible physciatrist
Your b2 pawn is the weakness of this opening. (normally threatened by the queen)
Be prepared. Either defend it or sacrifice it to either trap the queen or advance the c knight in order to ultimately make a check fork and get something more valuable. (normally the a rook)
Good video on this on YT by Eric Rosen. (not on his channel tho, it's an 40-something min video on a chess club channel)
Refute the Queen attack by blocking with Qb3 to tempt a queen trade. Recapture with axb3 and you have an open file for your rook
@@The_Jovian
Yes that's an option as well.
But for those who prefer keeping their queens, they should go for one of the other 2 options. (also, all these options only work in certain circumstances, like trapping the queen, you need to know how to do it)
Thanks, MORE!
dont forget big ben setups here : one line is d4 d5 Bf4 Nf6 e3 c5 Kd2!! consolidating the pawn pyramid and improving king activity at the same time
Finally a chess tutorial that speaks to me!
That felt like a personal attack, are you watching me or something?
this is an amazing video
Do Englund gambit to beat London system mains
Jokes aside this is a very handy summary
I like the deep read into my soul at the end. I'm not here to learn I'm here to pretend to be smart!
Edit: btw I love the sniffing brit inspired theme of the video! Very clever.
great video
Can confirm I am a mouth breather who wants to take the fun out of chess 50% of the time
You should do a video on the Vienna Gambit. Shits fun and I’m a useless sack of shit who depends on others for strategy.
Just thought it was a cool opening now I'm rethinking my whole 3 week career
awesome tutorial
In the end 😂😂😂I feel every word 😂😂😂😂
I so loved this
I like the london system thou its fun
Thx, I’ve been inspired to learn a new opening:)
The chess speaks for itself
I should not have paused for that frame
Creativity? In chess? Hah!
This intro is love 💕
After watching this whole video I change my mind and it is all gold.
I’m gonna win now for sure!
I hate chess but needed a good opening to crush my mother in law every time. The London is it. Thank you.
This opening got me to 1450 Rapid... I'm not dropping this opening anytime soon. xD
Too good n1
Italian game is even easier I'd say, but it's more about attacking rather than defending
I know I am a loser in life at least now I can try for the draw in chess even though white. A Big thumbs and subscribed.
😢😢That hurts as a London player. But i will not deny that it made me go from 500 to 750 elo. Now i am going to learn new opening as it is not working anymore.
This video was awesome. I just stubbed
Any person who opens with queen side pawn, has already given up on life
Subscribed because of everything after 2:02 hahahaha
No wonder I've been feeling like shit lately
Never played this shit.
I usually go Alekhine's all day long.
But I need something against the icky d4 c4.
That went deep lol
Now give us a video to destroy the cowards using this system against us. After watching this video I have a decent idea of what they’re trying to achieve but no idea how to stop it. Please spoon feed me
never saw this oppening in any of my games, but saw many videos on how to win against it
What a brilliant video 👏
Damn I did not think chess could make me feel worthless
Can we. Have a jobaba video pls
makes chess look so easy😭😭 proceeds to fail on every chess platform
Thx Ben 😂❤️
this became so dark so fast
oh ok i am not playing it please make the depression go bye bye now
i picked up the london and climbed from 900 to 1200 in rapid/blitz/bullet and plateaued. i proceeded to lose my mind as i stagnated at mediocrity. the game lost its magic. there was no fun in seeing the exact same position hundreds of times. i have since transitioned from queen's pawn to king's pawn openings. don't fall down the rabbit hole of d4. it will do horrible things to you, after making you feel an empty sense of accomplishment for gaining a few hundred rating points by learning nothing.
As a former d4 player who now plays the Vienna, Sicilian and Dutch I can confirm
Of the people I know, you're the one who uses the word "judiciously" the most. I've now heard it twice used by you :y which isn't a lot, but people normally don't use it in my area. Because they mostly talk German lol. But still.
Damn you didn't have to call me out in the end like that :/...
0:56
Im just trying to win chess in school... that ending was very harsh
this video is hilarious, i started learning chess with london system and thought i was a natural because i picked it up quickly, now i know im just a wood league dog :(
If you watched this whole video I don't understand how you didn't subscribe
Rakieta Cinkrofa
Wtf I been playing the London without knowing 💀
