Welcome To Survival-Russia. One of the very best Outdoors and Survival related communities on UA-cam, and yes, It's a pretty good Channel too :)
My name is Lars. I'm From Denmark but I live in Rural Russia now. I live at a Homestead in wild nature surrounded by a huge forest.
On The Survival-Russia channel we do all things related to the Outdoors Lifestyle. I share my thoughts and experiences on Survival Techniques for the woodlands of the Northern Hemisphere. the Reality of Survival. I share Techniques and ways of the Siberian Tribesmen and the Russian Longhunters of the older days. Things not shown outside of Russia very much.
On this Channel we also do Off-Road driving, Vehicle builds, Metal Detecting, all things Outdoors basically. Enjoy!
Since Lars doesn't shill himself I'll do it for him. Stop being a cheap ass and become a patreon to his channel. The best and most honest outdoors channel on youtube deserves that. It''ll cost you less than a take away coffee a month.
Thank you :)
@Vermin Hex Thank you very much VH :) All I really can do other than the two options you mention, is to enable "Channel Membership". Let's see how it goes!
I have started to send Lars money via paypal whenever i buy an item he recommends and like that item.
Exactly because he doesn´t shill himself and doesn´t have affiliate links.
@Philip JamesJesus christ, dude wtf...
Whatever ails you, my friend... You have my sympathy and i hope things will get better, soon!
(And since you seem to read stuff into things, i actually mean that 100% genuine and i actually do wish you the very best of luck!)
@Philip JamesThe impression i get from the way you write (and the extremely long texts you post here) is that you are for some reason very much more sensitive to perceived slights or perceived lack of consideration and so on than your average joe shmoe is. That seems to be an uncomfortable existence. Therefore i wish you the opportunity to "heal" whatever made you this inordinately sensitive. And to grow a thicker skin to the point where your life is more comfortable and you are a more relaxed member of our community.
All the best.
Pig meat, super soup, Siberian log fire: Yes, I have found Survival Russia!
Snowshoe.. Surveyor best friend which he starts hating after 5 months of winter.
where can i get the modern plash palatka?
Hey Lars How’s the Alligator going ? Do you still think it was a good buy for the money considering the work and money you are having to spend on it mate ....
We watch your channel because "It is what is." Love the honesty and humor.
.....I watch you , because you are real....mistakes , misjudgement and accidents happen , it's how you recover that counts! GRIZZ 🐻
I just can’t understand why so many bush crafters make sooo many cuts in the wood to have a “pretty” campfire. They burn up so much energy which is bad. The Lars Siberian campfire will always rule.
We need more people like you on this platform. I hope you are doing fine. Greetings from Bulgaria.
Well Lars I have to say for once I am not jealous of you having more snow over there, its finally warming up over here and I am not too sad about that....until the bugs come out !
We already have mosquitoes where I live! I saw the first one four weeks ago
Tea - the most important drink of the day!!!! :)
With Vodka
At last ..back to the woods with Siberian log fire buckwheat and super soup lol...I must try this buckwheat
If you lay a tree stump on a compass, you can t tell where North is :)
Put a watch on the side and you can tell the time of day also.
DANG ! Everything I like. What can be better then Survival- Russia ? Nothing. Great job Lars.
i wait in each video for you to say “tra la la la la”....
it seems to sum things up so well. 😉👍😂
Making raspberry perfume? Get away from me suggested videos!
Awesomeness!! I just got home from work and there's a Survival Russia video up on the tube!! Thank you my friend!!
Love your vids, Lars, as does the wife. They are zooper awzome. ☺
I want to see the mini-crawler in the back of the SRV which, in turn, is in the back of the Gator as a THREE STAGE ROCKET!! 😎
"But this is how it is" Truly awesome. Keeping it real! Much respect Lars. Hello from Newfoundland!
No one will hear you scream 😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭 dying.
Finally. The return of canned pig meat! It’s been way too long.
Yay
Back from work and straight out with Lars...awesome
Not sure how Grouse attract mates. I tried their techniques once, and nearly got kicked out of the bar.
*Edit: No way he's Danish, his aim with a handaxe is as bad as mine! ;]
P.S. I hewed and planed my first log this spring. Found a smaller tree for legs to make a nice bench for the firepit.
G'day Lars, Thanks for this video. Every time I see you do the Siberian Log Fire I reckon it's the best method for a long lasting fire I've ever seen. I really hope I can have a crack at one sometime in the future, perhaps during our next winter, who knows. I like the way you use fallen timber and the fact that the SLF can be multi-use; if it's big enough you use it, put it out and it's there for you to use in the future with very little set up time. If you had several partially used SLFs dotted around your property and local wilderness you would never be stuck if you needed a big fire quickly for an unexpected overnight stay, it could be a life saver.
I'm also lookimg forward to seeing the Lar's Gator Monster out in the wilderness. Heck, you could take enough tools with you to build a log cabin if you wanted... you've got the axes and saws, you can pack chain saws with room for a couple of mates to help with the construction! Anything might be possible with the Gator! Another great video, falls and all ;) Cheers, BH
Looks like fun Lars! Enjoy it now before the 'skeeter's show up!
Is that a kleen canteen bottle?
Great video as always Lars, good ole super soup, buckwheat and pig meat!! Appreciate you sharing this!!
Thank you :)
I'd love to buy some Chaga from you. I had a look on Amazon after watching some of your videos, but I'm not sure I trust what I'd get from Amazon.
np if you don't do that just thought I'd ask just in case you do. Love the videos and the way you keep it real, peace out:)
There is a guy in New Brunswick Canada that sells chaga whole online
@@serbia-ll1io Thanks. I got some coming from e-bay, 100% Pure Wild Scottish Chaga 250g for £14.49, not sure if that's good or not but i'll give it a try.
А что не на мини-кроулер? Спасибо за видео.
tillykke med dronning margrethe :)
Lars you made me laugh with that axe, I think your accuracy may be even a little better than mine!
Always enjoyable to be out in the woods with you...even if it's only on UA-cam! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us all!
drumming grouse a fantastic sound of spring
Long weekend here, Lars! You’re inspiring me to head out overnight and do some hunting. No bugs yet! Last month of bird season. Do some projects maybe, too. Take care!
Good effort getting out in the slush an snow Lars brother, i remember how tough it can be on the old calf muscles lol back in deep Finnish spring forests. Nice camp setup and kit. ATB Moose
It's always Awesome on this channel
Does everyone else let the ads run like me? Hope so. Only for Lars & Family. Give him more revenue let them run. The 2 Ninjas may want to go to college!! Thanks Lars & Mrs. SR
Yes.
I watch the ads for all the good you tubers and Lars is the best👍
@@ericspratt3164 yup,, a very good guy.
@Christopher Kavanaugh And I get car dealer's ads from here in Idaho......tracking out location, ain't they!?
Yes; I also click on every single one of them. :)
Hope the slush soon evaporates Lars! Today i ordered some stuff from Vladimir, including the super soup. Looking forward to trying it out! The buckwheat you use, do you roast it yourself or do you buy it that way? I can find buckwheat but only "raw" and then it´s supposed to be soaked for hours before cooking that´s why i´m asking.
Anyways, i hope you have a nice spring and that you bring us with you.
Best regards, André from Sweden!
Great splitting Lars. Also it looks like your using the Russian Paratrooper backpack. I love mine.
Because your out there so much and you like to build why not build a small cabin on skis ? Let’s say 4 ft. X 8 ft. - 6 ft. Tall with a hitch ,then you could have your portable workshop/ sleeping quarters and leave it on site until you bring it home ? No one would bother it way out there . What are your thoughts on that ? SKOL BUD !
Yellow well water, I know that very well. My grandparent's old well was mineral heavy. We'd have to knock the scale deposits out of the kettle from the buildup.
As always awesome content...that log fire never failed on you; awesome
Love that Siberian Log fire and your bench. Your a true woodsman. You live in a wonderful location. I love the mountains were I live also. Your log fire is going so great and they last so long. A great camp site with bench, Shelter, log fire, tea, and your great food, that includes that great buck wheat. I love buckwheat pancakes. Also the buckwheat really enhances your nutrition. Enjoy your time in the woods.
Looking at your setup, Lars, one thing strikes me: Those Spruces look healthy, do you have any issues with the bark beetles? Here in Alaska we have lots of beetle killed trees, I'm kind of curious how wide spread this is.... Nice video, well done.
Swinging the axe towards your legs like that (when splitting the log) made me a bit nervous... be careful Lars! :)
Great videos. What are the gun laws in Russia. Can you own a AK47 .
.
I watched you with the auto shotgun. Never seen that type of shotgun. Keep up the very informative outdoor vids.
Lars, thanks for sharing and bringing us along. I hope you didn't tweak your knee , that would not be awesome. The bench turned out well.
*Lars... a big thanks from the UK 🇬🇧 for all the efforts you put into making the videos...! Please keep up the good work..! QUESTION: Do you ever have any encounters, with the Russian ‘Almas’/‘BigFoot’/‘Sasquatch’..?* :PEACE:🕊❤️😎
The more I see, the more I like what I see. Honest, down-to-earth and not at all the kind of nonsense one gets from so many so-called survival or bushcraft UA-camrs. Love your channel, Lars!
I work in British Columbia Canada doing cedar shake. We used a 7lb trojan axe on a 24" handle the length of the shingle
A bit slushy there . Dry here on the little mountain having to water my vegetables . Rain here with snow on the tops forcast from Thursday so trying to get jobs done .the dogs liking the new moon . Last now back from a raid into the so then ravine and now sitting above the house watching out for boar and ibex moving now it's dark . Just got round to watching the last episode of happy people via the mirical of 4 G . When are you going to make some hunter skis 😀
I like the way you keep things real. Look forward to your next video. By the way, did you have the printer with you? Didn't see it.
I would like to know where I could get some of the canned pigs meat. I'm in Alberta Canada.
Hello Lars. Winter is my favorite season. Watch yourself and don't get caught in a cold rain, which is far worse than any snow fall.
Are you eyeballing me? Don’t you eyeball me. Eyeball that wood, Lars.
Glad your knee is okay!.... Things got hairy in those snowshoes for a second.
Another awesome vid, and I have learned a great deal from your channel. Thanks.
enjoyed it Lars , , , all but the part where you fell , , sheesh , , fall like that are rough on the knees , you know ?
The north and south are easy to identify by the trees - if the palms are the south ... ☝️🤔
I think I'm going to make a bench because my camp is a muddy $hithole.
The King of the Siberian Log Fire! All Hail the King! :-)
respect for falling even before u said it i liked that u kept it. Big up haha so cool!!
lol your in a chipper mood in this one my friend awesome to see you out and about again loved the video best of wishes to you and your family
Soon I will have the time to spend in the forest like you do... so jealous. By the way you do a great job with your videos.
I thought I would write and tell everybody that I contacted Sukonka yesterday and they are out of production on the wool hunting suit until the weather turns cold again. I can’t wait!
Don't get eaten by hungry bear they are waking up in springtime🐻
I love to watch your videos while I'm doing some light fixing that can be done inside the house :)
That is some seriously hard cheese you have there Lars 😋😋😋
Hello Lars! This video was a good Tuesday surprise...
Once you get the fire going and I get hungry thinking what am I gonna cook now...
These snow shoes don't have "R gear" like they are made for the army - only Вперёд!
Have you ever used the vdv canteen/mess kit? Would love to see that review.
I have one and would like to see Lars to a video of it.
I like your channel but you need a dog with you...
Lars, how did you learn to speak English so well?
don't eat the yellow snow, or drink the yellow snow melt
We love “just how it is” Lars.
Keep up the great videos.
That is a nice looking sled you have and the snow on the ground there is nice and here in Arkansas we have had nothing but rain since Autumn and the ground is still wet and the grass is growing like there is no end. We have not had much snow all Winter long and what little we did have only lasted for an hour or two.
Two seasons in that part of the world winter and mosquitoes
The Siberian Log Fire so simple, so Awesome !
in the immortal words of Lars,,,awesome!!
I was wandering if you have sugar maple trees in your area. Love your show with a Big Thumbs Up to you.! Thank you for sharing !
We do have Maple but Birch sap is most common here.
Thanks Lars, another awesome video.
Great video fun fun. Be safe well and warm.
Another awesome video Lars! :-)
The famous Russian Spring Thaw. I now know what my Great Uncle was talking about and what was in the photographs he made when he...er...visited Russia in 1941. It would slow down almost anything to a crawl.
Autumn is even worse :) I think your Great Uncle & Co lost about 110.000 vehicles of all kinds to the frost and mud in the Autumn/winter of "41 or "42. At least he lived to tell the story :) Well done.
@@SurvivalRussia He seemed obsessed by it, most of the pictures are of bogged tanks or ones where the tracks just slid off the road wheels and sprockets. Mud just gets in between the track and running gear and is no longer actually in contact with the track. You lose traction and if you try and turn.... awesome.
Parádne video Survival Russia, to je ono. Super akcia.
Thank you, lars.
Brilliant.
Hey Lars! Always good to see you back in the woods, even though I love the gator project! You mentioned spending most of your time outside, how many nights per year would you say you are camping?
Thanks for another great video
Looked like a nice outing. Thanks for posting!
If you lay a small compass on that tree stump you can tell which way North is.
But i'm guessing that you being an old woodsman you would know that. ;)
Double Epic Aim Awesomeness
Uh oh...here come the mosquitoes...
Looks like Maine right now.
great video ,thanks!
Your aim is mighty good with the ax!
great video ! A very likable guy
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice video Lars and way to "get it done", just had 2 days of rain and that knocked down some more snow. The bears are awake up here and hungry now, so treks into the woods need much caution at this time. Just going into Easter weekend and hoping to get a day to get out on the 4 wheeler and explore the trails. Just hoping it wont be too wet for the grouse this year and we have a good season for them. Have a great weekend coming up Lars and cheers...Fred
Good luck on the 4 wheeler and the Grouse buddy :) The bears here should be up and running too.
Don't wrench your knee!
Mmm, canned pork. 😍
Very cool, your falling down, slurred speech, hmmm have you been drinking 🤪🤪😂🍻 great video, good to see some imperfections, loved it, i think I’ll watch it again. 👍
No not at all. Just kind of a weird day actually :)
