- This low calorie peanut butter and jelly sandwich recipe is one of my go-to sandwich recipes for weight loss. It has about 1/3 of the calories of a normal PB&J sandwich, and also none of the sugar - since it's almost completely sugar free. If you're looking for the best macro friendly peanut butter and jelly sandwich recipe this is it.

Peanut butter on both pieces of bread? I say nay nay. The correct answer is peanut butter only on one slice and jelly only on the other slice. The only time they mix is when they the two pieces of bread come together!
Finally! This one of the biggest things I’ve missed since going keto. For most people it might be missing pasta, but I always a pb&j guy. Thanks Mr. Joe!

Man I thought it was a pulled pork sandwich from the thumbnail and I got all excited. As an Indian, who despite growing up ate things like mac & cheese, roast chicken etc I never understood peanutbutter and jelly (which we call jam) as a meal option. It always felt like a dessert. No cake at home? Throw some jam, peanutbutter and bread together.

In my household, jam and jelly were considered two different things. Jam contains pulp and seeds (whole fruit), whereas jelly is just the gelatinized juice extraction of the original fruit mixture. It’s like butter (jam) vs ghee (jelly) … sort of! 😆

I never thought of adding sweetener to my PB powder! I have not seen that bread yet, i will have to keep an eye out for it. I do love that jam. Thanks for the inspiration, PJ sands are the best!

Try replacing some of the water in your pb powder with a sugar free syrup. Flavor bomb
Oh boy , try to sweeten it with sugar free maple syrup. Be warned ,it’s ADDICTIVE.
My go to bread is 35 light, it's amazing. High in fiber and the wheat version is just like real higher calorie bread and only 35 calories a slice. 11g of carbs and 4g of protein a slice.
@@jgoldian47 I’ll have to look into that bread. My low calorie bread I just tried and love is the Sara Lee low calorie whole grain bread. It’s only 90 calories for 2 slices and 2 slices is the actual serving. So far I’m down 12 pounds.
Edit: so far I’m down 35 pounds! You can do it everyone! Just stay consistent.

Thanks, one of my faves going back to childhood. Aldi does have a keto bread, with 0 carbs. Yup it's all fiber, but a little dry, imo. texture is pretty good.

PB&J is one of my biggest weaknesses. I love to have one with a few big pieces of sharp cheddar cheese on the side and a big glass of whole milk. Heavenly

Just eat. Eat regular peanut butter. If you are worried how calorie dense it is, just use a teaspoon size. One slice of average bread is usually 60 calories, you can make half slide peanut butter sandwich using basic ingredients at around 100 calories, add some chopped fruit and a 10oz coffee and that’s a morning meal

I use frozen blueberries to replace the jelly.
My favorite way of staying fit and and still having a full day of eating is to bend over and pick up pieces of food that I drop while enjoying something sweet, savory and crumbly - as opposed to setting any exercise routine or cutting my diet. I also get some halfway decent exercise while mopping my kitchen floor. That being said, I'm going to enjoy a nice crumbly pieces of crumb cake or perhaps a bagel all the way after some high KETO beef, eggs and of course lots of butter. Thank you Joe Duff, the Diet Chef for allowing me to share.

Have you tried bonza pasta?? It has been a game changer for me. 1 serving (1 cup dry) is 300 calories but I cut that in half and fluff up the meal with veggies and protien. I end up with a nice sized bowl of yummy and im full allllllll day. It got to the point where I had to lowkey force myself to eat because I know I need the protein/nutrition for my goals but I really had no desire to eat. Coming from a recovering binge eater, it just blew my mind.

I discovered Good Good a few weeks ago, and their jams are INCREDIBLE. Their Maple Syrup substitute is also excellent.

@@TheDietChef Just tried their syrup for the first time yesterday with your keto pancake recipe. Has a much better consistency than the Walden Farms, less goopy and pours very well.

If you have a gluten allergy or are on FODMAP plain rice cakes are a great substitute for bread (have to eat open face since 2 rice cakes at same time is a crumbly mess), & much lower calories than gluten free bread which tends to be very high for a very small size slice.
I have that kind of jelly! I bought the strawberry flavor and to me, it taste just like any other jelly growing up from a child to an adult. 🙂

The one i bought has 45 calories for slice of bread so 90 calories + penut butter (just me but i only did 2 table spoons of penut butter powder and 1.5 regular water). 10 calorie jam and 160 calorie pb&J, sometimes i dont want jam in my sandwich so basically can make 2 penut butter sandwiches fiber rich and protein rich
I use rice cakes in place of bread to lower the cals also lol!!!
This pb2 sanwich was soooo good! Tasted just like the real thing. I like to use Hero bread, soft and 0 net carbs 45 calories/slice
I keep forgetting about the powdered PB I have in my cupboard. Thx for the reminder! I'll be making PB&Js but MY way, with butter on one slice of the bread, then jam. PB on the other slice. 😋 And I'm Team Diagonal too! 🔪

I eat a PB&J for breakfast EVERY morning and have for about 2 years straight now. My sandwhich is 232 calories though. I use Nature's Own lite honey wheat bread.
