watching this, i can fully imagine they're ten years old and just pretending they have their own show. That's the energy this is giving, and it's wonderful
This is probably the best episode ever. So focused were the 2 they didn't even crack a joke! Rhett and link were making sandwiches with more care than handling a baby, how much do they love pb&j?
Love when Link claims things like “the Link taste test”… now I want to see a book called “The Link Method: a guide book to various things according to Link”! It can include “how to pour milk on cereal correctly” or “why peanut butter is my thing” or “how to hold a dog”…. 😁
My sister was lactose intolerant as a kid. When my grandma was making grilled cheese for the rest of the grandkids, sis got grilled peanut butter. You should try, especially with crunchy.
It's also the best for a cheeseburger. Or at least, the best cheeseburger I ever had was an elk burger with peanut butter and jalapenos on toasted sourdough.
If I’m being completely honest, watching two grown men test and make pb&j sandwiches, and both of them choosing the best combo…. AND link finding something new he likes…. This is the best content on UA-cam. This right here. You win GMM. 🥇🏆
It's the first thing I thought about as well, especially when Rhett said he didn't want to break it with a knife but it's all they have... well, not in the fanfic 😂 I didn't want to think about it, but the memories just aggressively flooded my mind lmao
Rhett did also, at the beginning he said he thought he would probably prefer smooth, only to end up going crunchy.. they both grew into adults right before our eyes.
This was relaxing. Of course it could've been cool to have these combos handed to them like "try every krisy kreme flavor"-type episodes.... but this was surprisingly better. I love them so much. 💛
My go to pbj sammy is the extra crunchy jif with strawberry jam and honey wheat bread. 😋 Next peanut butter episode, “what controversial peanut butter and ___ sandwiches can we create?”
I was just talking about my elk burger with peanut butter and jalapeno on grilled sourdough. Technically the jalapeno is just a very underdeveloped berry jelly.
I don't care what brand of PB it is (I do prefer crunchy though), but strawberry and whole wheat are what I always use (unless I don't have that option). I just use preserves instead of jelly.
Loved this episode! They were so dedicated to the task and Link's mind was blown in the end. I agree with their sandwich choice - Red Raspberry with extra crunchy JIF is the best!
i'm so glad they agreed crunchy and raspberry is the best combo. i always make mine by lightly toasting the bread, then smooth jif or crunchy peter pan on one side and on the other a little butter then bonne maman raspberry preserves.
Loved seeing you guys try the sourdough, for my go to sandwhich its smart balance pb (smooth or crunchy) with Bonne maman strawberry jam on sliced potato bread 😁
I love the openness to experience that Link has in this More. For me, I believe my world became just a bit brighter when I discovered how tasty a PB&J was with a slice of red onion in the middle, changed my sandwich game forever and haven't looked back.
This was so much fun. Love the logic. As someone in the U.K. we don’t get great peanut butter I prefer the US stuff. We also don’t have grape jelly here but I love it. Smooth Reeses peanut butter with Welch’s grape jelly is my favourite.
sometimes sainsbury's sells skippy. not as good as jif or peter pan but way better than all the english ones. i have a lot of family in the us so we get them to mail us peanut butter lol. idk why nobody in this country understands that it isn't meant to be healthy its meant to taste good
Have you ever had 7 Days soft croissants?? They make a PB&J one that slaps. It’s filled soft croissants.. they even have flavors like Vanilla and Strawberry filling that also slap.
there are four corners per slice, four condiments per type, two slices per sandwich, and two condiment types per sandwich, thus, you merely need to make two sets of four slices containing identical assortments of four condiments on the corners that you rotate by 90 degrees when sandwiching together to achieve four sandwiches with a total of 16 combinations. therefore, you can experience the full gamut via only four sandwiches. 🥪🥪🥪🥪
Ok, now I want a pb&j, lol. I use raisin bread for the extra bits of sweet fruit and a touch of cinnamon. Soooooooo good toasted! Okay, I made my sandwich and it's yummy! I used orange marmalade which is making me very happy right now 🥰
I completely agree with Rhett's statement of liking the crunch of crunchy peanut butter, but liking creamy peanut butter more. I can never find an excuse to purchase crunchy peanut butter because I wouldn't use it nearly as often. My solution for this is that I usually put chips (Doritos, sour cream and onion chips, Goldfish crackers, Cheese-Itz) into my PB&J or solo peanut butter sandwiches, and I have since I was a little kid. My husband thinks it's disgusting LOL but he's never tried it so his opinion is invalid.
Does anybody else have a specific way they make pbjs? I lightly toast the bread so there's a layer of crunch on the top. Put pb on first (Reese's brand) so the pb melts a little on the warm bread. Then Smuckers raspberry jam. I think 60/40 pb over jam. Its creation was the peak of my sandwich making career
I lightly toast mine as well, so it's still soft but has that very slight crunch, and put a thin layer of smooth Jif and a thin layer of blackberry jam. I prefer just peanut butter sandwiches without the jam, but that's my go to if I do want jam. If I don't want it toasted, I use crunchy Jif.
After making the sandwich I put the whole thing in a toaster oven. The outside is nice and toasty while the inside is warm and gooey. Highly recommend.
i deeply despise, and am also severely allergy to peanuts yet i watched every second of this more and found every single one entertaining. something special about y'all

Mine is crunchy PB and strawberry preserves. I like marmalade sandwiches, too, but I don't think marmalade goes with PB. You don't need someone else to feel validated, though. I don't give a poop what others think, I like what I like.

I don't think I've ever seen Link so gentle with knives than when he was spreading peanut butter.
Table/butter knives don't really count as knives. They're like metal spatulas.
He had a very Link technique to it
This is peanut butter we’re talking about! Need to be delicate and precise
The amount of care they individually put into their sandwiches 🥺🥺🥺
The most important ingredient.
I love theese kind of mellow episodes, where they booth just concentrate on something and speak with soft calm voices. Very soothing
Link makes everything look harder. Just watching him struggle with exchanging sandwiches was hilarious/frustrating.
That's because everything IS harder for Link, for whatever reason.
I think he may be a perfectionist at heart and he tries really hard to execute that and it doesn't come as easy as he would like it to!
Airing more on the side of frustration than hilarious. Most times his inability to make his hands do want his brain wants is hilarious.
He’s a little slow. 🤪
@@xploration1437 I genuinely don't know how he managed to get an engineering degree.
Raspberry and crunchy has been my sandwich for years. This makes me feel validated.
Same! On potato bread
I’ve been raspberry and smooth for decades and I feel validated too. I’ve taken some flak for the raspberry over the years. 😁
SAME! I'm catching up on episodes, and as a crunchy PB and red raspberry J enthusiast, this made me tremendously happy.
similar - strawberry and crunchy 🤤
I'm personally a Strawberry and crunchy kind of guy, but only if the Strawberry jam is homemade. Otherwise, Raspberry or Peach all the way.

Link and his crunchy peanut butter epiphany is so magical.
There are 64 combinations. If you split the bread into 4 quadrants, you would only have to make 16 sandwiches.
