Unfortunately (p1d03) partial load crankcase ventilation valve goes on the engine and that cost me painfully £600 and part itself is £58 I believe , it’s I believe common fault on these engines. But otherwise great car and smooth drive. Also not all premium plus ones comes with loaded like yours(360 camera, lane keep assist, blind spot, adaptive cruise control) extra options.
Thanks. Very helpful! If I only had done some research.. but I have had malfunction on starter and air compressor, airmatic. Was the relife valve. Also car would would not start so have to change the relay. Spot 15 I think. Broke my charger hatch door while washing so I changed out the actuator hatch lock while fixing the door as the charger hatch door lock was falty last winter. The new actuator is an revised item and is a better unit MB said. Now I need to fix led light on left mirror and also a sensor "communication with the radar sensor 2 has a malfunction" witch I am struggling to find out how fix. Any tips?
@roberthasic1278 it turned out to be the AC compressor in the end (6hrs of labour and about £900 for parts). Annoyingly the fault was intermittent, so randomly the error goes away and the engine starts. The AC compressor runs off the high voltage system, so a short in it causes the entire hybrid system to fail.
Hi. I'm tempted to buy a 2016/7 model but the reports of 6 miles only drive on electric -only and the possibility of having to replace the lithium batteries at £5000 after 5 years, is worrying. Any truth in these rumours please?
Yes but also no. The HV batteries do last a good long while and while electric only range is limited the car does an excellent job recharging it over long distances. Plus most journeys are short distance anyway. Look at it as a performance diesel alternative. Ours has been trouble free and is gloriously comfortable to drive.
I disagree about the auxillery battery. The C Class has a capacitor on all models EXCEPT the hybrid models. The auxillery battery is actually a battery, part number MBA0009829508. I replaced mine last week. It was ok for a week but I'm getting the warning again, so seems like the battery isn't charging rather than it being the battery.
@@damos_carsCurrently trying to get it booked in to Mercedes to get a proper diagnosis. Loved your review video of the car by the way. I was 50/50 about switching to hybrid but from your review I could see it was perfect for my work commute and general pottering about
Hello, i got an error with battery malfuction red and to don t towel it. Overnight the error disappered and the car now is working perfectly. Can be the 12v battery? Or something else( i didn t start the car from 1 week and this happend)
Great video , have been looking for this for couples of week , my car gives me malfunction light and was really panic after your explanation i think i ll be alright. Thakks
The issue with Auxiliary Battery Malfunction My C350e 2017 doesn’t have the Voltage Converter or at least is not on the passenger footwell. Can someone explain to me where is located ?
No, it doesn’t have a voltage converter. To rectify the issue with Auxiliary Battery Malfunction you need to replace the 12v battery located under the passenger footwell.
I have error code P1433 in my C-350e, but also a red battery in my display and it says car, do not tow and do not switch. Is my 12v battery worn out? This code refers to a discharged battery due to defective insulation. What do you think?
@@damos_cars The emergency service checked the Mercedes for faults and revealed P1433 discharged battery: airbag control unit signal output, exhausted battery due to defective insulation. I don't know what that means, I plugged my computer and found fault p0ce000, the valve for the coolant of the high-voltage battery module does not close.
@@damos_cars so the dealer found it, air conditioning pump is broken, causing a valve of the hybrid system to remain open, I will ask where this valve is located and will mention it here. And it costs 2,230 euros
Merseds GLC 350e has a high voltage heater located in the right front fender housing, behind the front wheel, behind the plastic housing. It is a really damp place and corrodes the connectors and the electronics inside that control the high voltage heater. Mercedes has found a really bad place for the device. When the device has a malfunction, a battery image with an exclamation mark appears on the instrument panel.
Did you resolve the problem? My car is also displaying this message, I'm able to start the petrol engine by pressing the start button for 5 seconds, a normal start, states; to put in gear, press brake and start engine The dealer says the high-voltage battery is broken, but since then once, all systems work randomly for an hour or so.
The video was in detail but the information is not all correct speaking from being mb trained technition for 15 years no one should be near a phev if they have no awarness training for hv vehicles. The system on that car runs a 360 volts not knowing anything the high voltage system could lead to a life and death situation.
Thanks for the useful video. Why this information is so hard to find, I don't know.
You're welcome. Overall they are great car though.

Great video! Can you please tell us something about our gearbox? We have a not common wet clutch without torque converter and no much info about 🤔
I don’t know much! Refer to my disclaimer… I’ll pin this comment though to see if anyone else answers.
Great video thanks a lot for providing context.
Great video by the way!
Thanks!
Thank you For your information bro😊
Thanks! Glad to be of assistance... hope you fix it.
I thought you were going to end up in the boot at some point but you moved back to the front of the car :D
I know. It was only in the edit I realised how ridiculous it looked! Hey ho. Hope you guys are well 👍

I have a 2018 GLC350e and I have started getting the "Malfunction" message combined with the battery symbol. Might be time for a new 12V battery then.
I’d say so. 👍
Did the new 12V battery fixed your problem?
Did you resilve this? I replaced the 12v battery but the error did not go away. I could not code the new battery as I don't have an OBD plug
