    It's crazy how these people talk about their entire family being killed like its nothing . They've already seen so much that they are numbed to death . Absolutely mind blowing praying for these peoples families

      Yeah it's sad. I've seen other videos where the defectors said that they would see corpses on the streets and having your friends die is a regular occurrence. Death isn't a big deal in North Korea.

      Must be some genuine case of Post Traumatic Stress heard of one waking up due to them hearing screams when they're trying to sleep, I mean to correlate that with the likes of a apparently a Steward on the Titanic ship, which of course sank in the 1910s they showed a photo of them when they were before even the Titanic existed, afterwards showing them after it they'd gone completely white haired not grey literally white haired it must be awful!

      The way I'd deal with something such as this with the likes of Park I'd quite happily (if I had enough money) I'd phone Sky up and try and find some way of sending them some money all of it preferrably so their family member(s) can do that, it sickens me it really does, then I'd call myself a genuine humanitarian which is ultimately what I am!

      If NK falls most of the 25 million refugees will be sent to China and Russia, and that would be an absolute crisis for those countries. Germany is already struggling with 1 million Syrians. Only way is re-unification.

    • @TrailBlazer65
      @TrailBlazer65 8 років тому +20

      While the chances of China becoming involved are low, a war is a war. North Korea's military would probably fall within a matter of weeks but the human and economic cost would still be immense. The DPRK also has developed a small nuclear arsenal and while the ROK are protected by the American nuclear umbrella, I'd think the risk of the DPRK starting a nuclear war would be too great of a risk. Kim may well use anything at his disposal to fight an invader. Imagine if one of those missiles struck the centre of Seoul. As another commenter said, millions of refugees will be a huge problem. Not only that, but the cost on the South Korean economy would likely be immense as it has to support a new 3rd of its population who are largely unskilled and have no idea how to live in a modern, free society. Its a sad state of affairs but really I think the biggest key to progress is held by China and for what ever reasons, they are not turning it enough.

      @@invalidsudo We are struggling? Thats news to me. We only struggled right at the moment the masses came in cos it was a sudden influx and we weren't exactly prepared. Most helpers were volunteers. I don't see us struggling now. If NK falls, why should all the people leave their home land? They would need help to rebuild it and aid in food and stuff. No need for all of them to leave the country, if they just got it back. They could start from scratch.

    Mrs. Lee, the woman talking about her lost daughter (Park Eun MI) was luckily able to find her, after 7 years apart. She was living in China and was able to eventually make it to South Korea to join her mother and younger sister.
    The following is a link to a video mostly from the perspective of Eun Mi's younger sister, Park Yeon Mi, who defected with her mother after the older sister had escaped to China. The father managed to escape too but died not long after from colon cancer.

      @ek7404 6 років тому +12

      Larry Hutcherson Sr I wish that we could march into NK, slap Kim Jong Un in the face and liberate the North Korean people, but it is far more complex than that. They have nuclear weapons which have been proven to work (albeit not well), and a large army that is a mystery as to how well trained/fanatical they are. It would be the first conventional war that the US and NATO have been involved in since The Gulf War, and we would need to change our tactics from fighting an insurgency for 17 years. The international community would need to understand the consequences of going to war with an organized army, and be prepared for losses. Furthermore, if we _were_ to go to war and end the dictatorship, it would be the worst humanitarian crisis in recent history. Millions of uneducated, starving, and most likely diseased North Koreans will flood into South Korea and other East Asian countries. The cost of rebuilding a war torn nation would be immense. The US tried to rebuild Iraq after 2003, God knows how we would manage to rebuild NK. At this point, the best option is to wait for government reforms and internal collapse.

      In19944 Is it really that easy? North Korea has nuclear weapons in some capacity and because of this an invasion would more than likely spell disaster for anyone within range of those weapons. I'm not saying the U.S. doesn't put its political interests in front of the interests of other countries when it comes to military decisions, but in this case I can't see how any kind of war is going to end well.
      I feel that any kind of military action that would trigger aggression from the North Koreans would backfire horribly on the countries around them, especially South Korea. North Korea would lose if it truly came to that, but the price would be massive.

    4:05 It's so joyful to see the faith having its wonderful influence on the people of the Korean tongue. I'm deeply inpressed by the power and awe inspiring infallibility of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a Malayalam speaking Christian. I live in a place where there are Marathi and Tamil speaking speaking Christians. I've also read of a church conducting services in Antartica! (Rev 7 : 9, 10 ...from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages,... and crying out with a loud voice,"Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!")(ESV)

    If ever there's a military effort to liberate North Korea, I want to be part of it.
    I'll help load artillery. I'll train soldiers in Boxing & Jiu Jitsu. I'll fight. Anything.

      It looks alot like one, but the cpa badge looks wrong.
      Any Idea what his rank might be?

      I figured it out! Thats not a russian, but an Iranian officer, maybe a General, as far as i can tell, the picture is very blurry and the colar insignia are not clearly visible. Search for iran, officer, cap badge, uniform, general and so on.

    That man is supposed to be subjected to the same pain through which his citizens go through, every single day in and day out.
