    this got me very emotional. I came to US as a teenager for college. It took 10 years to legally get my citizenship. Somehow i was classified as a refugee because i was born in China. Although i have never starved one day in my life, I identified with this girl's extremely dangerous journey realizing i am just a fake refugee. She is the real thing with nerves of steel. I am so happy that she and her mother are now safe and enjoying freedom in the US.

      It was very unfortunate of her & family to be living like back & forth between North Korea & China with all those hardships, sufferings, emotional pains, agony & trauma in the hands of those very inhuman form of government they have then & up to this time. Something is so wrong in their ideologies, culture, tradition & beliefs & it will pass on from one generation to another which can also be detrimental to the safety, peace & normal lives of their neighboring societies. Many are called but only few are chosen & this woman is one of them. She's God's instrument to spread out her passion in missionary work despite the difficult life she's been through. I can feel that deep inside her lives but only God's wisdom & unmeasurable strength. I'm pretty sure that when all her great missions on earth are done, she'll be rejoined with our Lord in the "kingdom of heaven where there's only love, peace & happiness no end."

    • @TehCommentMaster
      @TehCommentMaster 3 роки тому +1

      I'm actually very thankful South Korea take care of North Koreans. Sure, society isn't very nice to them... but you can't force people to think a certain way. Plus, it could be worse. South Korea could one day have an agreement to send defectors back to the North (just like China.) Imagine that scenario! Where are they supposed to go?
      South Korea does provide North Koreans with financial support. They used to give them one lump sum payment of about $20,000 to $30,000, but North Koreans were frequently getting scammed out of all their money. So now they give them small payments over a couple of years or so. I think it's quite generous, to be honest. They don't need to do anything.
      My only concern is that as generations go on, South Koreans are going to have no relatives alive who have family in the North. If that happens then it may be politically difficult to continue to spend tax payer money helping North Koreans. Let's hope they continue to do the right thing!
