Jack Lame my grandmother died on Christmas Eve, my mother on Dec.9 (not in the same year though) but I try to have happy Christmas despite that and I sincerely wish that Billie will have many happy Christmases in her life to come.
I think that it's important to remember just because the christmas season of that particular year was bad not all christmases were bad. Try to instead remember all of the great christmases you had with them instead of the 1 bad year.

I can see a little Debbie in her from time to time, but in the eyes she looks like Carrie. And she has a great loving dad, she will get through this. She seems very well adjusted considering Debbie and Carrie were so 'out there' and I do mean that in a good way.
