This is hands down one of the funniest films ever made. It just works on so many levels. When I saw this in theater, I've never heard the audience laugh so hard in any comedy before or since.
Why does the narrator's voice drop 3 octaves at the end of each sentence? Make it stop

Just came looking for this comment....what is with that weird fluctuation? Hey drops down a note every few syllables before coming right back up again...then dropping back down. Its way distracting...having a hard time hearing what he's saying lol

Sounds like a real person who wants to stick out from all the others and be "special". There is another narrator who ends his sentences with an upward inflection, so every line sounds like a stupid question? And he has an Irish accent? It is also tiresome to listen to? Drove me crazy? Never going back to those channels?

I think Tropic Thunder is one of the greatest comedies ever made. Right next to Life Of Brian and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels..
This man knows his comedy. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a masterclass of great actors uplifting a simple script into a pure gem.

You forgot the fun fact that American Dad created their own parody of the Simple Jack parody with Oscar Gold in the episode “Tear Jerker.”
Even Jamie Fox said RDJ didn’t deserve any hate and has black clearance for the role cuz he was so good
I recently watched this film again. I have seen it many times and I think it is one of the best comedies to come from the late 00's. Also this movie is prime example of why I keep my physical media. I own the two disc DVD set and the Blu Ray and the extras on this movie are definitely worth it.
I always listen to the commentary. Like "Talladega Nights". I have watched that movie 100 times and always with the commentary. Both commentary tracks on "Talladega Nights" are hilarious!
Idk if I’ve ever laughed so much in a movie theatre.. this movie was hilarious and its’ comedic brilliance won’t be touched.
Just a little advice: get better control of your voice inflections. You are inflecting to a lower register when you should be going to a higher register. You don’t need to have that many dips in your inflection. It’s almost like you are trying to hard with the voice. The voice would work if you just fix the tonal problems. Had to stop the video :58 seconds in..
The companion to Blazing Saddles, which they said could never be made today until tropic thunder came out and simply crushed it
The 2 movies are only comparable as a comedy. Otherwise, not even close to Blazing Saddles.
Django was a modern day closer comparison to Mel Brooks.

I didn't know till the third time i watch it that Tom Cruise or RDJ were in the movie. once I did it went from top 20 to top 10
This film was hysterical and absurd. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I think there was like 5 other people left in the theater with me by the end of the film.
I MAY have the Disability of Autism, but I see it as a great comedy that's full of Irony.

Great content, yes. However, the narrator's voice is an endless roller coaster pattern, where the first 90% of a phrase was two octaves higher than the last words. Could barely focus on what he was saying, only HOW he was saying it.
