- What a job this was. I don't recommend buying a bag in this condition, but this was a test. Please don't use bleach without taping off all the trim before you start. Otherwise, this bag is nice enough to live for a bit longer.

This is amazing. I love your how to videos. This is so satisfying to see it improve so much. But how does a bag get that bad to begin with? Just shaking my head. When I can't find an item. It drives me crazy too. I do the same thing. Amazing how much better. Great video!
Very Interesting process. Educational. Exceptional results. I would never pick up a handbag in the condition this one was. I would not have thought it could be salvaged. However, you made a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
The purse inserts are new to me too.
Would really like to see your technique on restoring a genuine leather handbag including the edge coat. Maybe you would include your process for cleaning a cloth interior. Of course, only after completed your numerous other projects.

What kind of tape do you use to tape off yhe parts you dont want to get wet?
What are you thinking of cleaning the vinyl with? I've heard people say if you leave it outside it removes the yellow and others use hydrogen peroxide or gels that restore yellowed plastic
Excellent! I think you did a wonderful job cleaning up the inside of this bag. After you were finished did you again totally submerse the purse in water to get rid of the bleach and baking soda? Really a great job👍.
Yes I did. Lol. That was alot of both. I know bleach will eat through things. I'm not sure I would aggressively do this again, but I was curious for a dollar😬❤❤❤

Wow, I loved this video. Learned SO much. And I definitely agree with your logic, and I’m glad that I’m not the only one. I will pick up bags at the bins that I would never pick up anywhere else. Because the worst that could happen is you ruin a bag that you may be have three dollars into on the high side. And sometimes the risk is worth the reward. But you are exactly right, the time investment is monumental on these types of pieces. Because it literally keeps you from being able to list 10 items during that period of time. The bag turned out stunning! I almost think that you should save it for your thousand subscriber giveaway. Or maybe 750 subscribers. I think that it would be the perfect reward for your subscribers when you reach a good mile stone. Considering it was such a labor of love and the epitome of what you do best and where are you shine. ❤️❤️❤️🤷♀️ just a thought LOL and you could carry it yourself in the interim as a catch and release 😉
It was a crazy idea for sure. But I would have thrown it away otherwise. I'm not a fan of using bleach that way and I considered not even uploading it. Lol. But what the heck! I saved it for a little bit longer, even if it never leaves my house.🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤
@@tfinci I agree with you completely. Great way to experiment and test the limits, and if it gets ruined, it’s not a big loss.
Buy a new one. I have 30 Dooney bags and mine look new. I bought all from Dooney. Dooney says only clean with water.
