I am running a 2019 Jackson Big Rig with 2021 Flex Drive (thank you Jackson for the warranty replacement!) and a trolling motor and Humminbird Helix 5. With all of that I think he has more in his battery setup than I have in my whole kayak!!!! He has great skills and deep pockets to go with his fantastic sense of humor.
In the 50's we folded 8' or 10' sheets of used tin around 2'X4"s (bows) and 1'X10" (sterns). We tarred up the nail holes and cracks, painted them with leftover paint, made paddles, and pull them to the bayou behind our bikes on radio flyer wagons. We fished some. Played a lot. Hid them in the grass along the bayou. We would "war" against the boys from other parts of town for control of the bayous. One group of boys mounted spikes (20 penny nails) on the bows of their "war ships" to ram ours. We would throw mud balls and sticks at each other, hiding along the banks. Our small SW Louisiana town is completely surrounded by bayous. In 1957 Hurricane Audrey drown 300 people just south of us (Cameron, Louisiana). Our "boats" were sweep away in the storm. On higher ground, we survived, in our seventies now. Last Saturday, I went Kayak fishing with my youngest son in fancy Hobbie's. I told him of the old days. When boys folded sheets of tin and fought to control our bayou. We never thought we'd grow up.
I love the NLD handle(Next Level Designs) billet aluminum handle. I have one myself with the ball bearing, lockable base. It makes turning such a big and heavy barge buttery smooth. The lock feature allows me to lock the rudder position almost where ever I want it depending on what I am doing in currents. Great overall setup.
Man, I'm from Gadsden but live in Cullman. I have launched from that place so many times during kayak tournaments. Lol the Coosa is a great place to fish.
Haha,, boy's carrying aboutt 180 lbs of water in that boat. That is a CRAZY set up. I'll have to check and see what he's running now. iT'S got to be tippin over 400 lbs. lol he's got a 47" screen on his Fish Finder. lol That's crazy. AND he's got it on a DOUBLE TRAILER. Sweet.
Super cool rig! Those nav lights tho should be on the front of the kayak and on the opposite sides. Unless you're peddling backwards all the time then they are in the correct location 😅
His Nav lights are up front and in the correct locations. This rear green lights you’re referring to are not Nav lights, they are just extra lights he uses when fishing…
Really thinking about getting me a nice craft like this for the roof of the SUV And some off road spring fed lakes with brook trout here in Northern Ontario
How much does that yak weight? I've got a perception outlaw 11.5 I was looking at a 62lb and an 82 lb trolling motor I'm leaning towards the 62 I'd like to see your setup for the power head and quick release . My hats off to you what a nice boat you got more on it than I have in my 15 ' starcraft beautiful Yak
I own a Native Titan 10.5 and have the same problem with it. Not sure where all the water is coming from, but it’s a constant aggravation. Very nice set up though.
AWESOME SICK Kayak!!! Well done! I’m a fellow Gadsdenite, hope to see that bad boy on the river soon. Please tell me how I can obtain a couple of those KayakUSA decals for my Yak???
Outstanding, Buddy. Gonna buy a couple to help support and promote Kayak USA, if only a little. Love your channel and what you do! Hopefully, since we are both Gadsden boys, I get to meet you.
Well, I have a Hobie PA 12 360, if I had to put my Yak on a trailer and if it weighed a ton it sort of defeats the reason for having a kayak in the first place, just buy a nice Jon boat with an outboard and trolling motor and tons more room. Not sure I understand the advantage of this setup?
From what I could tell you had your kayak in the back of your Tacoma. Do you have one of those bed extenders that goes in the trailer hitch or is the kayak just hanging off? I’m asking because I just got a Tacoma and wondering what is the best way to transport my kayak.
Hey bro.. I meet you last year at the classic in bham.. you are the reason I bought this boat.. I was talking to ya about fishing tournament s.. all I had at the time was a ozark trail.. still got it.. so now I'll be better prepaid to hit them tournaments.. haller at me sometime and we will go wet a hook!!
Its a nice boat for sure. I actually have the same boat ! Except its setup with a 36v minnkota ulterra 112lb trolling motor. Never had water in mine Except from rain. Just saying
When it comes to pure pedal power, anybody out there have experience of the Oldtown big water 13.2 PDL drive as compared to the Native 13.5 pedal drive? Native drive looks less heavy duty, but I was wondering how they compare?
That is a mini bass boat FR FR! Nice rig man!
That is a sweet set up! If he does not have a channel he needs to start one! He is hilarious!
Used to work with him. He’s even funnier in person.
His channel is Alabama Country Boy R/C (he is my dad)
Dude is a riot , would be a very enjoyable fishing trip
Favorite rewatch, all necessary upgrades. Just a fun boat, Love It!

I love the way the talk, now my words off thinking goes like this.
This guy is GOLD 😂😂😂 He seems like a hoot to hang out with. Great video, bud. Keep it up 👍
6.51 that's what she said. Gotta love this guy!
That is probably the cleanest setup I've seen on a kayak. That guy's pretty funny too you should have his UA-cam channel.
This how you do it! Click buy now everything cool. Man after my own heart. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Sweetness
Next up the Humminbird Helix 42" HD with surround sound.
Man he's good dude! Seems like he would be a good friend. The kayak is awesome also!
I bumped/paddled into this gent the other weekend on Logan M. Awesome yak, kind angler. Great vid seeing the yak details.
This looks sick. Personally, I like to have a lot of space when fishing.

Shhhwweeeet! Wouldn't mind seeing a bit on that trailer too. Thanks for the vid!
Man, I'm from Gadsden but live in Cullman. I have launched from that place so many times during kayak tournaments. Lol the Coosa is a great place to fish.
LOL....Throw in another hundred dollars and you could've bought a new Ranger!!!
Plain old sick!!
Badass kayak.

He will definitely be in more videos, we are gonna fish Wedowee together soon. 🤙🏼
This makes me so happy.. looking At that makes me wanna fish! So cool
Great set up, for those who can afford it. God bless him. And he got most of it used? Not counting the black pack. Most overboard I've seen!
Those natives are sweet. Nice ride my man! 👍🏻👊🏻🤙🏻
Merry Christmas TJ!!!

That's one bad ass kayak. Damn
Looks great!! but the green nav light on the left rear has my OCD IN OVERDRIVE. You gotta turn that port green light to the proper red
I’m going to build a stealth kayak. Next summer it will be in the works. And winter proof too and ice breaking if possible.
Nice set up
Gorgeous looking kayak
Decent kayak, it’s pretty heavy and takes on alot of water. I got a Pro Angler and it was the best decision I have ever made.
Until you get a crack in it. And the Pro Angler is one of the heaviest kayaks on the market.
@@morganghetti thats what a keel guard and poly sticks are for. Sounds like you had a bad experience.
🎄Merry Christmas 🎄
Gonna have to up your game man! Standard has been set
That is one badass kayak!!!
Damn! that's insane. All he needs is a bilge pump lol.

Insane 👍🏼
That’s my dad :)
What a badass dude.
“I’d love to borrow it for a week or two”
“Sure!” No hesitation.
Fantastic kayak and funny guy. But I wonder if the seal of the hatch is of poor condition. That was alot of water inside.
Nice!
That's sweet
Very interested in that Chrome/Aluminum steering handle. I have a 3d printed one for my Pescador Pilot. Where did he get that?
Next level design on Facebook bro..
That is a nice setup!!🤙
Really thinking about getting me a nice craft like this for the roof of the SUV And some off road spring fed lakes with brook trout here in Northern Ontario
Sound just like the Fishing ans stuff guy. I wish the native drives folded like the Kaku ones .
Nice rig!

Clean your stuff up, right?

Very nice set up though.
Sweet!😁
May as well get a boat at this point
Whoaw perfect 👍💪❤️
How do u get in it with all the gear on the sides?
He needs a few more poles! A lot of stuff on there to get line caught on while bringing in the fish!
I’d like to know what bracket that is he has the trolling motor attached to.
I custom built it myself out of 3/16 metal plate bro!
Green and red lights are usually starboard and port
Merry Christmas from Ohatchee al
Awesome!!

I've got a big boat.. this is a whole different world of fishin bro.. I've got 2 other kaks I can just throw in the back of my ole pickup.
Completely agree. Sounds like a major pain in the ass when you just want to get on the water fishing. I speak from experience.

what does those 2 power poles do?

I want one exactly this one. How much am I gonna spend?
Brother.. several franklins..
Is there any email or link to the guy that makes the seat lift? I need and want one ASAP!
Hey man.. look up Jeff Brummett on Facebook.. message him and he will hook you up bro!
Might as well buy a small boat
I’d really like to know the details on the trolling motor steering.
The kayak has a rudder to steer it
