First thing my friends, I missed inserting music for a "few sections of ebay sold comps." Considering that it takes nearly 2 hours for uploading and processing my videos by YT, I couldn't justify the time it would take to take the video down, insert the music, save it again (20+ minutes) AND re-upload it (up to 2 hours). Hope you understand. At the very least, you get to "hear" what it's like to watch ebay bolos without any music (boring LOL). As always, thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing, Vickie & Mark ~ Avante Avenue
Thank you! I always have enjoyed making jewelry. I’ve been away from it for so long until a year ago when I started up this recent channel. I find it quite relaxing. The irony, of course, is that editing a video takes 4 times as long then making the jewelry. Lol. Thank you!
Yay, I love how much you're uploading :) and I actually like watching with no music sometimes, so I will enjoy that part :) (though you do have great musical selections! Love the variety)
I often find various sizes of eye glasses/sun glasses cases in free boxes or for a dime or so and will pick those up for jewelry or small items. I get back feedback of the buyer "loving" the unique way I protect their purchase.
What a great tip! Thanks for sharing. (I just donated several eye glass cases...never thought about how sturdy they would be for mailing jewelry. Ugh.) Thanks!
I wanted to watch the whole video before commenting. Wonderfully entertaining and informative as usual. Loved the Halloween jewelry and Edgar Berebi BOLO's. I wanted to let you know that because of your shipping tips and tricks I made a sale! I don’t necessarily recommend making the choice I did, but it worked out perfectly for my buyer and for myself. I had a Lane & Co Vintage Deer TV planter for sale on FBMP. It had been posted for ages. I had someone contact me for purchase, but somehow, her search found my listing from a neighboring state. She asked if I would be willing to ship the item because it would make an ideal gift for a friend. Because it was not a high dollar item and taller and fragile...I hesitated. However I heard your voice in my head saying I could do it. To make a long story shorter. I packed it, shipped it...and it arrived safely to one very happy buyer! The reason it was unusual was because I did not ship through the Marketplace shipping option, but on my own. She paid, trusting me to follow through, which of course I did! Thanks for the real life extremely helpful application. Cheers!
Congratulations on your success with your Avante Jewelery youtube channel. You looked smashing in this video, i hope Mark took you out to dinner afterwards.
I sell a lot of golf shirts. The ones that sell the best are all size XL or larger. Best brands are PXG, Polo performance, Ralph Lauren Golf, Nike golf, Footjoy, Lound Mouth, and Callaway.
You’re looking so nice and pretty. But you always look well put together. Just a little dressier today. I think we should bring back brooches. I have a couple I wear occasionally. I really enjoy your informative videos. Thank you for making them. I try to watch every one. Just haven’t commented before now. ~ Tammy
I love selling jewelry, ties, and hats! So easy to store, ship, list. If you don't already you might want to try selling your jewelry on Poshmark, most of my jewelry sells there, I'm not sure why but it's faster than eBay for me.
@@AvanteAvenue Yeah that's one of the cons of Posh in general, imo. On the other hand, no messing around figuring out shipping. I get a lot of bundles on posh, maybe the combined shipping helps the buyers!
Who knew Halloween jewelry would be worth so much?! Clothing and accessories are my least favorite categories, however, I enjoyed this video! Thanks for the tips!
We have a lot of the same sales patterns. I have tried ties but they are sitting... name brand even...i LOVE jewelry and used to make a lot myself. I do make stained glass and mosaic now (and fused glass) but I can't sell it at ebay prices with the time it takes and supply costs. I have similar results with clothes too. My brother does well with clothes.
I am with you! Yes, hand making items, can be quite an investment. Since I have so many jewelry making supplies, I have to buy very little. Some people do great with clothes. They know their brands. I never sold clothing until about six years ago. Thank you for sharing about yourself!
Cool vid! Btw I like your haircut/style. I am going to check out your jewelry channel. I have boxes to list. In fact I have easily 100 pair of vintage Edgar Berebi earrings plus brooches from the 80’s. I do wear brooches on my outer wear in the fall and holiday season. I love them!
Hi Vickie - not much of a clothing or jewelry seller, although I have here and there. I know you mentioned you undersold the Edgar B. pin. Part of my morning ritual is sorting the listing that are ending that day (mind you, my store only has 650 items, not thousands like you). On any given day I'll have anywhere from 15 to 30 renewing that day. I take the time to edit the listings, checking sold comps as well as active. Make any edits, sometimes tweak the title (based on titles that have sold) and modify pricing accordingly . Then I end and sell similar. In some cases I just end and donate if the market is over-saturated or if I've had it 2+ yrs. Your organizational skills are outstanding! I really enjoy your videos! Thank you as always.
Like you, I do end and sell similar every week. In Avante Avenue that is. I tend to neglect Avante Avenue Attic. It can be difficult to manage more than one ebay store. Thanks for sharing your tips!
I live in a suburb of Boston and now that the Patriots absolutely stink this year, it’s absolutely comical how much Patriots apparel I’m finding at the thrift stores. People can’t get rid of it fast enough! Fair weather fans I guess ha ha.
Love your blouse! But shoes...I would love to be able to buy them online, I've seen so many pretty ones! In my younger days, I used to have over 150 pairs of shoes! Lol! But I have always had to try on shoes before purchasing them as my feet are not typically sized. So, unfortunately, I never buy shoes online. That might be one reason shoes are a slow sale for you.
I too would never buy shoes online "unless" they were identical to what I've come to like. I need to "list" more shoes. I think I just may not have "in demand" brands. Thanks!
where you store your clothes and shoes, in bags and bins, is the room (garage?) climate controlled like, you don't allow it to get too hot or too cold in those rooms? Are you more careful or conscious about the temp when you store certain things above other things?
Our garage is attached and any clothing stored there is bagged and in a tote. All other clothing is in closets. Our hard goods are stored in boxes and totes in the "attached garage." We have a humidifier going at all times. We've had no issues with anything due to temperature. Our ebay room is on the lower level too with a door to the garage. I think because most of two sides of our garage is under ground, the temperature stays pretty moderate. All of my glassware and fragile items are stored in our ebay room that has air/heat. Hope that helps. Thanks for asking. You might like this video. ua-cam.com/video/dXLU7OThZSo/v-deo.html
When I’m looking at my own listings and showing them to you, Ebay shows me the shipping as if I’m shipping it to myself. That’s just how it works when you look at your listings. Otherwise, I offer my buyers the option of either ground advantage or priority. Most all choose ground advantage, and it is much cheaper than priority. Hope that helps and thank you!
Watch most of your videos, go0d info. I do not sell clothing of any kind. I sell hard goods, linens and maybe a few games f they are older. I always wear pins on my denim jackets. When I was working as a counter manager for Elizabeth Arden, a scarf or a pin was the only thing that spruced up our "uniform" jacket.
And, we sell very little clothing. Like you, I much prefer hard goods. A few years ago, I tried clothing and I’m going to sell it until it’s sold. And, I find something really good out sourcing that’s worth buying to resell. Thank you!

Hi Vickie,
I agree you looked so pretty today. I love the up-cycled jewelry you designed. I will look for your channel.
Thanks for a wonderful video.
Thank you so much!
Vicki,
You look very nice in your animal print and new hairdo.
Thank you!
You look very pretty ❤ I enjoyed seeing your sales of your up-cycled jewelry 🎉🎉🎉 Can’t wait for your next video 👏👏👏
Thank you! Released a jewelry haul tonight!
nice video vicki. you have a very classy look today! lovely! your upcycle jewelry is so creative.
Thank you so much!
Hello Vickie! Your hand crafted jewelry sets are so wonderful!!! I love to see the creativity when pieces are upcycled!🥰.

You look gorgeous. Always enjoy your videos
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
I enjoy watching your videos on both channels. They are very informative and entertaining!
Love that! Thank you!
Love the outfit you are wearing, compliments you well!!@
Thanks, I really appreciate that! I haven't worn it for quite awhile.
Mrs.Vicki jewelry is my weakness also. I love vintage jewelry especially to reconstruct it and make it over into a different design.
Yes! It’s so much fun! Thanks!
Another informative video, thanks! I love the new hair do.
Thank you! I’m trying something new. Or is it old? 70s?
@@AvanteAvenue Nothing new under the sun! But good.

Don't feel bad. You have to consider that the Berebi pin you sold is a seasonal item, so wouldn't sell for as much as year-round jewelry.

Hello, how do you keep your shipping so low? Most shipping on eBay is very expensive. Enjoying your videos. My favourite is jewellery.
When I’m looking at my own listings and showing them to you, Ebay shows me the shipping as if I’m shipping it to myself. That’s just how it works when you look at your listings. Question. On eBay do you recommend setting a price, doing an auction, or doing an auction with a minimum bid set?
We rarely do auctions. We prefer but it now, make offer and setting sales. Hope that helps. Thanks!
@@AvanteAvenueWould you think an auction with a minimum set would be a good idea for a higher-end item?
You can try it. I recommend you never set it for less than what you’re willing to accept.
Do you use a cross listing app?
No. Never have.
Surprised you are not using Google lens
I’m not sure how Google lens applies in this video. When sourcing, we use Google lens all the time.
