I do too. Just like I love researching my ancestry. With that said, I haven't had time in a long while to work on it but I pretty much have my family trees figured out. Thanks!
I love the format of your videos and I'm learning so much. The way you include thrifting, sales and shipping together in your content is fresh and interesting! Also, your analysis of other UA-cam resellers is amazing! Thank you!!!
Happy Anniversary! Thank you Mark for washing the car windows, lol. I've no idea who the re-seller is, so I was glad you said something at the end about how youtube shows that your viewers don't overlap, interesting to me.
Thank you Leesa! We park our cars on the carport and the pollen here is really bad. Thus, we're always battling keeping the cars (and windows) clean. LOL. Thanks!
Love your channel. I really appreciate when you share the beautiful scenery where you live. I'm down the road in South Eastern North Carolina, near the coast.
I just found your videos! I love everything about it. Including your soft voice. Good luck to you and your husband on your thrifting. Happy Anniversary too!!!
Happy Anniversary 🍾🍾 Thanks for taking us along again on your adventures - love the fabulous scenery♥️ I enjoy your analysis of the youtuber/ebay people. Wishing you great sales and eagerly await your next video!
Happy anniversary, you two look great. Keep up the great work. Wish we had a Golden Corral around here but we don't. The country side there is beautiful as it is here. The air is so sweet this time of year. Can't wait for your next vlog.
Those Puppies!! I tried Sales for a few months. It seemed like every time I started one things would slow way down. I do set a higher Promoted Listings rate, that's what seems to work for me. I love that you put the sold comps by things you look up and or buy. Thanks!
Sales help with getting watchers and then I send an offer (offer has to be 5% under the sale price). I only get a few sales from the “sale.” I think most sales come from the offer. We don’t promote. Thanks Wren!
Whooo love that blouse on you! Those colors really make your eyes sparkle. PS love your videos and I’m adapting to the “move it; move it; move it!” Philosophy you are embracing. Thanks, Vicki & Mark
Great packing 😉 I do not go that deep in packing but then it’s glass I only have a little of it. Most people me included see you get an item for a quarter and ask 25$ I’m a reseller too but it would heave to be a must have. So I agree most UA-cam sellers don’t get rich from sells but the views don’t hurt the bank account.
Thank you Jeff! We started buying glassware because it was the one thing that many other resellers didn't want to mess with. Thus, why I had to tackle the packing! They say we make our money when we buy it. Yes, partly true. I say we make our money after we do our due research and BEFORE we buy it. Our channel is slowly growing. It's been hard. Nearly four years.....Thanks!
Happy Anniversary Vickie and Mark! Thank You for the video. I have been following the seller you featured today for three years. I purchased a pair of boots from her. She has taught me a lot of brands to look for. If I had to scale up I would do exactly what she did, rent a warehouse. Having that many items would overrun every room in my house which is the reason she moved to a warehouse. Imagine having that much space! She is one of the hardest working resellers I watch. She has a very nice personality. Per one of her videos, she had worked in the service industry prior for quite some years. I did as well. I would not trade that experience because I learned how to interact with our guests in a positive way even when they were being difficult.
You are so welcome! She's taught me a lot about brands too! I don't catch every video but I've watched many. It does take a lot of space when you gear up. We are lucky to have a huge basement. I'd just have to give up some personal stuff to make more room. I too have worked in the service industry. I should say we have. Service to me is working with the public and providing professional service for products and services. Thanks!
Absolutely love that you have shared this information. I've been on and off Ebay for over 40 years and never did an offer in my listings. Will definitely do now on some old items I have listed. I viewed the Boy Scout badge video and wanted to confirm - did you live in Wadsworth? That is where I live and have just opened a store for the first time (The Waverly Ave. Emporium) and will definitely use many of your awesome tips! Thanks so much!
Thank you Kris! The "offer" feature is one of the best things ebay has added. With that said, they permit it for anyone who "shows interest" in the item. That could be another reseller searching info for the one their listing or someone who just pauses over the item for a second. We never know. But, I'm glad for the feature. No, we lived in Canton, OH....not too far away from Wadsworth. Thanks!
Happy Anniversary! The couple you met at the restaurant were so cute and honest! I loved the towels! I promote my listings at the recommended percentage but when I view the total I make per item it is a bit of a downer. I weigh the pros and cons all the time. Have a great week!
Thank you Annette! Weren't they though! So sweet! I've heard that promoting brings some sales initially but if you stop, they slow down. I'm just not going to start. If you do decide to stop, I suggest ending and selling similar to refresh your items. Thanks, you too!
Right now I am running two sales. Items that have been in the store longer than a year are 30% off. Items 6 to 12 months in thr store, 15% off. Just running it for a week to test the waters. Seems to be working. I've sold some things that have just been sitting here collecting dust :)
I use end/sell similar to refresh my items so their "new" quite frequently. Keep us posted as to how it goes for you and if it keeps working. Thank you!
I always used to have "Or Best Offer" on all of my items. But maybe because I am a relatively new seller I was plagued by a ton of VERY low ball offers. I decided to try a tactic used by a reseller I follow on You Tube. I switched off that Best Offer for newly listed items for the first month or so. I have discovered that I have been selling more items for full asking price and quickly using this tactic. GREAT video again, thanks.
Oh my goodness! What a great video and a big surprise for me! 😄 You two are delightful and you deserve that sweet tea or coffee. Loving the insights into what strategies our fellow resellers and inspirational community is doing. It takes a ton of work to decipher their systems and share it with us, so thank you. My sales (for me) are on the upswing and I am working harder and more efficiently thanks to many of your tips. Thanks for all you do and the laughs. "Good morning Mark..." I also bought some bubble wrap through your Amazon link. What a great deal!

I am so very appreciative of all the work you've been putting into research and sharing this info with all of us. Thank you, and . . . HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

happy anniversary and thank you for taking us along for the ride! love this video format! the resaler eval is very informative, the pack and ship on fast speed is awesome and love the interspersed shopping. my favorite format yet!
The nail polish strips gave it away for me, lol. I don't even try to figure out who you're talking about but enjoy the numbers and research you've done. Again, another fantastic video to get me going before I start work for the day. Wishing you and Mark a prosperous week!
happy to see an uptick for you. Curious... why do you think the 35% off sales are working for you when the 50% off didn't? Are you running them over a similar time period? Did you raise prices first before the putting the 50% or 35% sale in place? you're gathering some good information for these videos! Of course as you mentioned there's still some behind the scenes strategies that we can't see - but I'm enjoying this content! Thank you :)
Thank you! I believe the 50% off didn't work because the majority of my items couldn't meet the "perceived value" which is important when raising prices. I lowered them back to a more moderate price, added back the best offer and started the 35% off sales. Overall, I'm willing to take "less" to make the sale. Hope that helps and glad you're enjoying my analysis. Thanks!
PS I also remove "Best Offer" from items with a really big (35%) markdown. I'll put it back on (along with sale price) for items that sit so long I'm sick of looking at them or that are large and are taking up more real estate than they deserve. I don't have very many items so I am willing to play a little more with this. Experimenting with pricing is a good idea I got from you in these Reselling Strategy videos. Thanks!
It would be easier with a smaller inventory. For us, over 2500...leaving the best offer feature on is easier. Will be interesting as we continue with this, how many buyer's pass on using the offer feature. Thank you Pat!
Happy anniversary!!! Glad sales are up & enjoying life while reselling. You guys have influenced me to go back to eating out at my favorite restaurants...gotta stop ordering pickup as much😊
Thank you TJ! 19 years and looking forward to many, many more! Yes, we do enjoy eating out a few times a week. With that said, I still cook a lot. We love a BIG breakfast. Golden Corral is my "day off" from making breakfast. LOL. Sales have stalled again the past few days. Hoping for a good Memorial Day weekend. Hope you have good sales too!
Hi Vickie, I just have to tell you that I'm in full agreement about "move it, move it, move it". I feel that not only is it good to move out the inventory, but I'm convinced that 'sales breed more sales'. So, when I'm accepting an offer that's a bit disappointing, I just remind myself of that. I heard this from another seller quite awhile back, & I'm a true believer! Questions about your 35% sale - did you put your entire store on sale? And did you raise your original prices before starting the sale, or do 35% off your original price? Thank you! Janett
I agree. More sales bring more sales. Although we did have an awfully slow week.... As to the 35% off, no I did not put the entire store on sale. I did put about 5 store categories on sale. My prices are currently quite moderate. I had raised them when I tried the 40 to 50% off sales but lowered them again, added back the make offer and set the 35% off. I'm willing to take less these days to "move it!" Thanks Janett!
Happy Anniversary to you and Mark. Whoo Hooo!! I love this video...all of it. I have watched the reseller you featured, and she really does hustle. You need tons of energy and stamina to operate like her I wonder if she has lots of help. Enjoy your day and keep on keeping on. 😊
Thank you Kaye! 19 years and looking forward to many, many more! Yes, she does hustle. I used to do it "all by myself." But still, I don't think I could keep the pace that she keeps. I don't think she has any help. Thank you!
Maybe I misunderstood the mission...but thought they are purposely not going to give the info which I think is smart. In my personal opinion they don't win either way. People will get upset if they can't figure out people or people will get mad and make negative comments about people if featured. Right now resellers & UA-camrs have been upset on guy who was kicked off Ebay who made a comment on delist/relist. You never win on social media 😢 but understand secrecy
I understand your request Pat but no, I will not be sharing who the resellers are. Doing this, the way that I am is the balance between sharing the reselling techniques used by some of the top resellers, while at the same time not in any way, trying to make videos that could be considered spamming, or as I’ve said, in the video riding off their coattails. Which would not be acceptable. This is not about who they are, but their reselling techniques. And, what I can gleam by looking at their stores and stats, which is public information. Hope you understand. I can appreciate your curiosity. Thank you.
@@AvanteAvenue Of course I understand! My idea was more your latest video and your comment that the woman seller was doing an amazing job and did not seem to have an appropriate amount of followers. I wanted to be sure I would follow her if I did not already. Of course that would compromise the whole anonymity thing. Good call, sorry.
No apology needed Pat. I understand now your request. Actually, she does have a lot of subscribers. I was simply saying that UA-cam shows me that people who watch your channel also watch these other channels, and I found it odd that she wasn’t one of the other channels since I also watch her. Does she have as many subscribers as some of the UA-camr Resellers? No. Not yet. But she’s doing just fine thank you!
Did you reprice your items before starting your 35% sale? I believe your seller last week prices high so she can mark them down. Just curious what you did. I may need to try it myself but not at some of my current prices.
A few weeks ago I tried 40 and 50% off and I had raised my prices. I didn't do well. So, I lowered my prices back down to "reasonable" before the 35% off sale. So, I'd say my prices are moderate. Hope this helps and thank you!
Your videos are awesome..you live in such beautiful country I live on long island and every day there is more building on empty land :( do you send offers to watchers?
I have yet to figure out how the items appear on "send offer", lol, I thought at first it was when someone added it to their cart, but as a buyer I have had offers sent to me without having something in my cart. Wish I could control the send offers thing because they do generate sales!
Honestly, ebay says that potential buyers could be flagged for an offer if they simply "show an interest" in the item. What does that mean? They looked at for a second? Accidentally, paused on it while researching something else? Who knows. But, it's not just about adding a heart to it or saving it. Yes, they do generate sales but no, we do not have any control over it. I hear you. Thanks Pame!
I’m currently running a 45% sale. I normally run a 30% sale so I bulk edited my listing and raised the prices 15% I haven’t noticed a difference in sales
I just can't understand how people do free ship on the lower price items. I know they factor shipping into the bid price but still shipping is so expensive I just cannot get my head around it.
Sales are awful, pretty sure ebay is messing around behind the scenes. Do you not pay .30 per item per month in your store? 2 years of fees would $7.20, right?
Our store level is premium. That includes up to 10,000 listings for our monthly store fee. We are at 2600+ listings so far. We do not pay per item listed in our store. There are the normal fees when an item sells. And because we have an annual subscription currently are store fee is $59.95 a month. You might want to investigate the various store levels. Thank you.

A few weeks ago I tried 40 and 50% off and I had raised my prices. I didn't do well. So, I lowered my prices back down to "reasonable" before the 35% off sale. So, I'd say my prices are moderate. Hope this helps and thank you!
I always price $R5 to $10 higher than most similar solds. Buyer pays shipping and on most items, I have a cushion to help cover packing supplies.
I send offers every day, multiple times a day. Hope that helps. Thanks Pame!
Let's hope the Memorial Day weekend brings in some sales on our items that are on sale! Thanks Joyce!
Ooooh I want that brass horse….thing, from England! Hope it’s not sold yet!
Not even listed. Email me at avanteavenue@gmail.com
I haven’t researched it yet or priced it yet. But I’m sure we can work out something. Thank you.
@@AvanteAvenue I look forward to that
Please email if you are interested. Or, do you want me to list it on eBay for you? Thanks.
Running a 20% off sale til The end of the month
Sounds good! Wishing you sales this Memorial Day weekend! thanks Sandra!
I just can't understand how people do free ship on the lower price items. I know they factor shipping into the bid price but still shipping is so expensive I just cannot get my head around it.
I can't either Denise! I guess it brings buyers to their store and they hope they find something else too or at least follower the seller.
@@AvanteAvenue I forgot to wish you all Happy Anniversary.🥰
Thank you!
Thank you.
