Sure, you can just string beads on jewelry wire. I use 49-strand (I have a link below my videos). Then, just add your favorite clasp. Thanks!

This is brilliant! I had to buy a bag of large whole black beads and only used one to make a "tire" swing on a tree of life for my mom who's name is Mary Taylor Swing (initials M T Swing)...I then slipped the bag into a junk drawer and there they have sat until tonight!! Fantastic idea, I'm so glad I found you!

So glad to find there's another use for those earring backs, I have a box full and thought I don't know what to do with those and why are there so many. I've used bicones shoved into the wide holed beads, I've even glued them onto the silver part of the wide bead. Thanx so much for your bright idea, I only hope the sized earring backs I've got will be suitable to use inside my wide mouthed beads (and boy, have I got heaps of those big holed beads). Cheers n thanx.

Yes, bicone beads can work too. I did share the size of the European style, large hole bead I was working with. I hope they work for you too. Thanks!

I have so many of these beads in every color and design. They were originally for my charm bracelets i gave as gufts to family members, Pandora "wannabe" bracelets and I was so sad that they went to the un-wanted (used) cookie tin storage container.
The use of the earring backs is genious!! Love it!

EPIPHANY!!! I decorate goose & duck eggs, creating unique ornaments. Finding large enough ‘hanger’ beads (12mm or larger) has been increasingly difficult as jewelry fashions have changed. Really appreciated this!

Hi Vickie, This is the first time i have watched your channel and i have to say i am so impressed by these earrings. I have large hole beads in my collection and i have had them for a number of years i have been making my own jewelry for a very long time and this is the first time i have seen this trick. Brilliant i would say, even genius. I have a Christmas party coming up and i now know what i am going to give the ladies each to say thank you for the hugh present they all clubbed together as a combined gift for me. It was a one of a kind piece of art a friend had painted. She is a very talented Artist and she paints abstract Art the painting she painted is called Dreams do come true, we moved into our house last October 2023 and it was a big race to get unpacked find everything put it away and get the house ready to host our annual Christmas party its an old farm house that has a beautiful kitchen family room and it has three bedrooms, three bathrooms a master suit with bath and shower room toilet and walk in closet set on 11 acres of pasture with a hugh over sized garage and a hugh barn a paddock and run in shelter and room to grow, it is what i have dreamed about my whole life so it was fitting to have the painting called dreams do come true. Mostly the same people come and i have known them for years occasionally we have extra guests but it is a way to say thank you to them all for a gift i had tears in my eyes when my hubby started talking about it. Thank you so much for the idea i am sure they will love what i am going to gift them. God Bless and Merry Christmas.

I would like to tell you how interesting and informative this video was.
I am working with some wooden beads that have a 6mm dia and 2mm inside. I am stringing these beads on beading wire. The beads slide and show the hole.
I purchased some silicone bead stoppers last month, and they work perfectly in the hole, except the hole is smaller.
Since these beads are wood, I pulled out my bead reamer and am in the process of enlarging them.
What a great idea. Now they sit on the wire like they should.
This idea also helped me to anchor my bail. I bail I was using in this design matched my focal and beads, but was much too big. I put two silicone stoppers (they fit perfectly inside), and then the smaller flat brass beads that were on the sides were glued onto the bail!
It's 1 in the morning here, but I just wanted you to know how your idea is a great idea in many ways.
I do have the large holed beads, too.

Thanks for ideas. I bought a large quantity of large hole artist made ceramic beads from Golem in Bulgaria. I haven’t made much with them but they’re so cool.

I can't wait to try this! I believe I have the silicone earring backs to do this project! If not, I will get them. I love them all, but #4 is my favorite. 🙏❤️

I have never seen anyone using earring backs either but I made a bracelet about a year ago and used the rubber backs to stabilize my big hole beads❤ Great minds think alike. I should post some of my hacks, I just assumed if I figured it out everyone else already knows 😂. Thanks for sharing ❤
