This is brilliant! I had to buy a bag of large whole black beads and only used one to make a "tire" swing on a tree of life for my mom who's name is Mary Taylor Swing (initials M T Swing)...I then slipped the bag into a junk drawer and there they have sat until tonight!! Fantastic idea, I'm so glad I found you!
So glad to find there's another use for those earring backs, I have a box full and thought I don't know what to do with those and why are there so many. I've used bicones shoved into the wide holed beads, I've even glued them onto the silver part of the wide bead. Thanx so much for your bright idea, I only hope the sized earring backs I've got will be suitable to use inside my wide mouthed beads (and boy, have I got heaps of those big holed beads). Cheers n thanx.
I have so many of these beads in every color and design. They were originally for my charm bracelets i gave as gufts to family members, Pandora "wannabe" bracelets and I was so sad that they went to the un-wanted (used) cookie tin storage container. The use of the earring backs is genious!! Love it! Thank you so much for the ideas and inspiration!!
EPIPHANY!!! I decorate goose & duck eggs, creating unique ornaments. Finding large enough ‘hanger’ beads (12mm or larger) has been increasingly difficult as jewelry fashions have changed. Really appreciated this!
Great idea to use the earring backs in the large hole beads👏👏👏 thank you for sharing. 🥰 I love every single pair of earrings you designed, beautiful 😍👏🌟
Fantastic idea with the earring backs for filling the large hole beads! I have lots of those beads and can surely make use of this suggestion. Thank you so much! The earrings you made are so pretty. Thanks again~ 😻
What a great idea. I love making earrings and stick pins/hat pins and bracelets. I just found you and subscribed. Will be watching more or your creations.
My favourite is no 4 like your hubby. I have around 500 of those beads😊 I usually bead pens with those. Now I can make jewellery as well. Thank you so much 😊
So happy I came across your channel just Subscribed! Yes I have them and have done bracelets, love your earrings you done with them they are so very pretty! Will sure give them a try, thank you so much for teaching and sharing!!! Liz 😊❤
I’m not sure why I hadn’t found your channel before, but I found it today and this idea is genius! I love it, all the earrings are beautiful. I will be sure to become one of your most loyal fans now that I found your Channel. Thank you ❤️🩷❤️
I just finished making tiny Christmas decorations very similar, the earbacks is a great idea. I have some but it never occurred to me. Will use them the next time!
Definitely #4. There are other platforms selling the earring backs in greater amounts at far cheaper prices then Amazon. I have quite a few of these beads so I'm very pleased your video showed up in my feed.
I think pretty much anything can be found cheaper, somewhere. I assume that savvy shoppers will compare prices once they follow my link to Amazon. The links help support the channel (same prices I pay). Thanks for watching and voting!
Gorgeous! My favorite was the 4th pair of earrings. I'm sooo happy your video popped up on my phone! I have TONS of large hole beads! Thank you so much! ❤
Good tutorial. I too have SO MANY large hole beads and haven't been able to work out how to use them. Thanks for the tip !!! I've subscribed and I look forward to seeing your work.
What a great idea you have discovered! I know nothing about beading anything, but had bunch of beads anyway. So encouraging to find your channel and realize i could learn how to do some jewelry making. I love pair #1 & 4. Thank you so much! I subscribed. ❤
I love your video. Your presentation was so easy to follow along with. I love large hole beads but never knew what to do with them. You solved the mystery for me. The earring back idea was so clever. They would help me making other bead cap earrings to keep them in place. I like bead set #4. ❤
I love watching you make earrings...you make it look so simple to make those loops...mine always look wonky, haha...I would love to make jewelry but my hands just aren't up to the task. Hope you and your family have a nice Thanksgiving...Sandy Parker
What a brilliant idea using the earring backs! I really like #1 and #2 earrings best but they are all so pretty! It was fun watching you create these earrings❤
First of all, i so admire your ability to make bead jewelries...most of all you’re a beautiful lady, and speaks carefully that i understood every word you say. Best compliments ma’am💗i’m a senior lady too at 70 nearly 71 on January☺️
Hi Vickie, This is the first time i have watched your channel and i have to say i am so impressed by these earrings. I have large hole beads in my collection and i have had them for a number of years i have been making my own jewelry for a very long time and this is the first time i have seen this trick. Brilliant i would say, even genius. I have a Christmas party coming up and i now know what i am going to give the ladies each to say thank you for the hugh present they all clubbed together as a combined gift for me. It was a one of a kind piece of art a friend had painted. She is a very talented Artist and she paints abstract Art the painting she painted is called Dreams do come true, we moved into our house last October 2023 and it was a big race to get unpacked find everything put it away and get the house ready to host our annual Christmas party its an old farm house that has a beautiful kitchen family room and it has three bedrooms, three bathrooms a master suit with bath and shower room toilet and walk in closet set on 11 acres of pasture with a hugh over sized garage and a hugh barn a paddock and run in shelter and room to grow, it is what i have dreamed about my whole life so it was fitting to have the painting called dreams do come true. Mostly the same people come and i have known them for years occasionally we have extra guests but it is a way to say thank you to them all for a gift i had tears in my eyes when my hubby started talking about it. Thank you so much for the idea i am sure they will love what i am going to gift them. God Bless and Merry Christmas.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story. I am so happy for you and your dreams coming true! I’m sure your friends will love your handmade earrings! Thank you and happy beading!
They are all so lovely... thank you so much for your inspiration and solution for those large holed beads!! That was so clever!!! Way to think outside the box!!! I tend to spend a lot of time out there too...lol I need to order some of those earring backs anyway. Maybe I'll double the order. Happy holidays❤🎉

It's 1 in the morning here, but I just wanted you to know how your idea is a great idea in many ways. I do have the large holed beads, too.
Thanks! I used the long thinner silicone earring backs to stuff in some beads with big holes (not 5mm, tho) and it worked great. I had not seen that type of silicone earring back! Thanks for the link. My favs were the last pair with the twisted beads. Cute!
I love them all, my favorite was number 4. I thought the earrings you were wearing looked great on you. Smart idea using the silicone earring backs to stabalize the larger beads.
Thanks for ideas. I bought a large quantity of large hole artist made ceramic beads from Golem in Bulgaria. I haven’t made much with them but they’re so cool.
I can't wait to try this! I believe I have the silicone earring backs to do this project! If not, I will get them. I love them all, but #4 is my favorite. 🙏❤️

I have never seen anyone using earring backs either but I made a bracelet about a year ago and used the rubber backs to stabilize my big hole beads❤ Great minds think alike. I should post some of my hacks, I just assumed if I figured it out everyone else already knows 😂. Thanks for sharing ❤

I bet everyone has some of these!
The silicone earring back idea is ingenious. Well done!
Sure, you can just string beads on jewelry wire. I use 49-strand (I have a link below my videos). Then, just add your favorite clasp. Thanks!
Wow! Genius! Who would’ve thought thank you. I have so many of those. Now I know what to do. lol ❤❤❤
Happy to help! Thank you!

Thank you so much!
All of them are gorgeous. Great hack to use the earring backs as plugs. Many thanks ❤x
Thank you!
I would like to tell you how interesting and informative this video was.
I am working with some wooden beads that have a 6mm dia and 2mm inside. I am stringing these beads on beading wire. The beads slide and show the hole.
I purchased some silicone bead stoppers last month, and they work perfectly in the hole, except the hole is smaller.
Since these beads are wood, I pulled out my bead reamer and am in the process of enlarging them.
What a great idea. Now they sit on the wire like they should.
This idea also helped me to anchor my bail. I bail I was using in this design matched my focal and beads, but was much too big. I put two silicone stoppers (they fit perfectly inside), and then the smaller flat brass beads that were on the sides were glued onto the bail!
It's 1 in the morning here, but I just wanted you to know how your idea is a great idea in many ways.
I do have the large holed beads, too.
Happy to hear it’s helpful for your project. Thank you!
