🏀 Welcome, basketball enthusiasts! In today's extensive breakdown, we're diving into the world of NBA players who are yearning for that elusive championship ring. 🏆 From young guns to seasoned veterans, we're ranking them based on a unique blend of career influence and the time they have left in the league.
🔍 Join us as we explore each player's journey, analyzing their achievements, near misses, and the burning desire to hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy. This isn't just about the ring; it's about the narratives, the struggles, and the legacy these players are crafting.
🌟 Starting our list with the young and dominant, at number 10, is Luka Doncic. Despite being only 24, Luka's international accolades and Hall of Fame trajectory set him apart. But with ample time on his side, the urgency isn't as palpable.
🔥 Moving on to Jayson Tatum at number 9, the Celtics star has already tasted the NBA Finals but fell short. His hunger for a ring intensifies, making him a compelling player to root for in the coming seasons.
💪 Joel Embiid claims the 8th spot, entering his 10th year in the league. A dominant force, Embiid seeks to shed the label of the best player never to make it past the second round. The MVP season adds pressure to deliver on the grandest stage.
🤝 Demar Derozan, our 7th pick, stands out as a veteran with valuable experience. Traded from the Raptors in a fateful deal, witnessing his former team clinch a championship adds a layer of motivation. Will a contender secure his services before the trade deadline?
🏀 At number 6, we have Paul George, now in his 14th season. The expectations of early career brilliance haunt him as he approaches the last year of his Clippers contract. Can PG13 silence the critics and secure a ring?
⌛ Damian Lillard takes the 5th spot, entering his 12th season with the Trail Blazers. Despite being an elite point guard, Dame must capitalize on the current opportunity with Milwaukee and prove he can lead a championship-caliber team.
🔴 Jimmy Butler, our 4th pick, presents a unique case. A late pick in the 2011 draft, Butler's journey from underdog to NBA Finals leader showcases resilience. While a ring would be a bonus, his Hall of Fame-worthy career is already etched in history.
🚀 James Harden claims the 3rd spot, aiming to shed the "choker" label and secure a championship. Versatility is his strength, but the clock is ticking, adding a layer of urgency to his quest for a title.
🌟 Russell Westbrook is our 2nd pick, facing the twilight of his career. The buyout market looms, and Westbrook, sensitive to fan opinions, seeks validation with a championship. Will this season be his last chance to silence the doubters?
👑 Finally, the top spot goes to Chris Paul, our seasoned warrior in his 19th year. Annoyingly competitive, CP3's illustrious career has lacked the crowning achievement of an NBA title. Join us as we dissect his journey and assess his chances with the Warriors.

i swear jimmy didnt really have issues in philly. the issues that i know of is the management not wanting to give him the money bc he was seen as a wildcard at the time and the issue of Brett Brown using Ben as point during the season but then randomly changing it to jimmy during the playoffs which caused the performance to drop. is there something that happened that i just dont remember?
I know. they went with Toby because he was easier to control.
Brett Brown was the issue… and the Collangelos destruction path
Such a relief to finally find someone with a no bullshit take on the game.
THat's how I do. I occasionally get into a little BS.
as someone who has just gotten into basketball in the last couple of months, i really love your videos. keep making them!
I can do that for you, brother.
check out Legend of winning and his other 2 channels Foot on the Line and The LOW post if you need help stating up to date too ! helped me get back into it after not watching since 2013
Ring culture is an interesting dynamic, but to me it's not everything. Yeah I certainly get it, the ultimate goal of a team sport is winning it all and so being a part of a championship team is an important aspect of a (great) player's career. But only ONE team gets to get it each year and so it can be a terribly difficult and elusive thing for many great players. So considering it this way, for each of the guys you listed to get a ring (unless they somehow end of playing on the same team as each other), kind of an obvious observation but, their team would have to win the title for the next 10 years. It would probably need to be in reverse order of your countdown for it to work, it just seems super tough for that to be able to happen. I understand the premise of the video, it's just hard to see it happening for all of them, and is/would be kind of a shame for any of them to end their career without one. But that's how it goes right? That's part of the point of how/why getting a ring is so special, revered and looked favorably upon, takes a LOT to make it happen. Nothing earth-shattering from me, just thinking it through as I watched the video. Anyway thank you again, my favorite hoops vids on youtube.
I think that's why Jordan and Kobe made such a mark on the game. It's the exceptional players they kept from getting a ring. Malone, Stockton, Kemp, Payton (for a while). The further I got up in the list were the players that I think are the most skilled, but haven't been able to reach the top on a team level. It's their careers, but I think it's the ultimate achievement in basketball everyone is chasing. The MVP and DPOY, all star games feel a bit like distractions to me. Hard to even really define what ring culture is. I think at it's simplest and least grand: it's shaq teasing chuck for never getting one. Definitely the easiest narrative to follow as well.
@@whatslapssomewhere out there Charles Barkley is pissed/crying he wasn’t even mentioned in the “exceptional players Jordan kept from getting a ring” discussion. 😂😂😂
Embiid has been in the league for a decade? Wow, never realized that.
sure has
Only thing better than finishing homework for the day and seeing a new whatslaps video in my sub box is seeing Dame win a ring with my Bucks in June.
I'm thinking Denver and Milwaukee finals.
@@whatslapsWould be amazing to see two Euro legends in the making battle for a title. 7 game series for sure.
as a celtics fan, smiling returning to this vid
Congratulations 🎉
Found you on tik Tok now I watch every video on yt
sweet! glad you found the channel, player.
Who's your favorite player who didn't win a ring, it could be past or present
Allen Iverson. thanks for asking baby
@@whatslaps my favorite player to never win a ring is Derrick Rose, in my opinion, and many others opinions, he shouldn't have been in that 4th quarter of the Chicago Philadelphia game in 2011-2012
A video of on the cusp hof players and whether or not you think they will make it could be cool
that'd be good. long shelf life too.
i subbed after this video and watched a couple of your other videos and now you're one of my favorite youtubers, gonna be fun watching this channel grow!
Glad you like the vids! thanks for the sub man!
What about Devin Booker (who still has plenty of time, like some of the guys on the list)? If he finishes his career without a ring, he would be seen as one of those top players who couldn't get it done on the biggest stage.
I think in about 3 or years I'll make a video about Booker if he's ringless
Dude should be on Jimmy high roller levels
He's good. I like him
This channel has silly sounds i like it
If you think these sounds were silly, you ain't heard nothin yet.
That's true abt Luka

Nobody going to clown Jimmy. Untouchable
Big Jimmy guy too
I love pg

Spoiler alert: it’s not happening for Chris Paul this season.
what if he gets traded?
Thanks!
Thanks for the support brother. always look forward to your comment.
I don't want Embid to get a ring. He doesn't deserve it.
He'll deserve it when he wins.
Paul George ain't getting No Ring, too.
This is a big year for both embiid and PG
@@whatslaps I recommend a vdo about how NBA players use their money; who went broke, who invested and got wealthy, I heard that AI be able to survive 'til today cuz something about the Reebokdeal he made.

@@whatslaps what he say?
Chris Paul is very annoying but one of the best of the last 20 years, even if I’m rooting for him to lose most of the time
Agreed. I'll definitely miss him when he retires.
Commenting so Lord Montizon blesses you in the algorithm
Jah bless
Kd needs a *real ring

Good lord. The sound effects in this video. You speak about basketball well but the noises make this video borderline unwatchable. You’ve got potential but fix that trash. Good lord.
thanks. it's not for everyone.
Embiid will never win a championship.
whyz that?
Because he doesnt have that dawg in him. @@whatslaps
Too soon to say. In Philly? Probably not. But what happens if he joins forces with a star elsewhere?
