While I do love the Magical Girl-esque style of Aile's transformation, my god Vent's feels like it has so much POWER. The way he lets out that powerful cry, how the hair first forms as freaking WINGS behind him. He makes Model ZX look like he's barely able to contain the power it has.
Vent seems like he can barely control all that power, making the Model ZX look even more powerful. Aile seems like she has perfect control and can use it while relaxed, making it looks less powerful at first... and when you think about it, being even more intimidating, if she doesn't have to strain herself to use all the power of the Ultimate Megaman. Frankly, I'm not sure what's more intimidating, Vent serious and almost pissed off face when he ends his transformation, or Aile confident smile when she ends hers.
To be fair, while Vent's story in ZX digged more in the past and the conection of Zero and ZX, Aile's story felt more like it was the true story, more focused on the present and future, and telling the player that it was Serpent the one that killed Ciel's research team when they were researching the model W. And if Giro really was always a Guardian in both stories, aparently he didn't trust Vent enough to tell him the truth, just saying that aparently he was the chosen one of the Model Z, while he confess to Aile that he was always a Guardian, Z was always his partner and he was taking care of her to keep her safe (It is posible that it's just different in each story, with Giro not being a Guardian in Vent's story). It doesn't help that, while I like Ashe better, Grey's story also feels like the true story, with his more detailed beggining and his more pronounced development. Ashe in the ending is just more powerful than in the beggining (and aparently she is a descendant of Albert) and nothing else, while Grey learns his origin, his suposed purpose as a back up of Albert (that he rejects), learns what he wants to do and gets his own life. And the one that appears in Grey's story is Aile.
I can't help but like Vent's version more due to how badass shadowed ZX with red highlights look(also why I like ZX1's transformation scene so much), but Aile's is really elaborated. The scene with the armor slowly covering her legs almost makes me forget the fanservice

Her name is Ray Woman, she is based on a Tsundere in my class whose name literally translates into *Light Rays* . Just like the Girl, the Robot makes 24 faces in a minute.

I always loved how, despite the two ZX users looking identical, you could always tell who was who by looking at their weapons of choice, with aile using the ZX buster and vent using the ZX saber.
I think this is in the newish ZeroZX collection where in ZX Advent all cutscene and voices are redone with the original files so you can get the quality experience without the DS emulator audio garbeling the quality
X has a better buster, yes, but ZX can demolish a boss life bar in a single rolling cut to a degree Model X double charged shot can just dream about being able to. Model X as the ranged model may be better at, well, range, but the universal model ZX is much more versatile. That said, there is a reason why regaining access to the Model X is the price of finishing Megaman ZX with both Aile and Vent. It's just as powerful as the other Models, in its own right, and if you focus on ranged combat it is the best model, bar none (well, maybe bar model Ox)
@@lenlimbo The reason I said "yes, I'm talking about Aile" is because when she transforms she readies her gun instead of the sword, which is model zx's strong point. But yeah I too do the same when I play ZX. I use the gun first to learn enemy patterns from a safe distance. I was just joking when I wrote this. Joking about the fact that when she poses at the end she wields her gun so proudly, as if thats what's broken about ZX.
I could probably make a version with the English voiceacting, at least up to the point of the end dialogue. I'll mull it over. I'm not a huge fan of the English dub, myself, and prefer the original Japanese voice acting, hence I've only ever done the Japanese version of this video.
Honestly, the only criticism I have for this was the transition when Alie called Model X and Vent did with Model Z was too fast. Other than that, it's great.
I can imagine this if there was a z challenge in zero/zx collection as a secret boss. you could choose any transformation (except ox cuz that shit was overpowered, like infinite overdrive mode?) and you would do the same thing as in the x challenge. double bosses.

Yeah, it does use optical flow between frames. Lessons learned, I probably should have kept this in the lower original frame rate.
