Fitting that I'm giving the spotlight to Mohg right when he's had a hit placed on him by the developers due to his death being required to access the DLC.
Mohg watching in dread as Gandalf the Gray, and Gandalf the White, Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight, and Benito Mussolini, and the Blue Meanie, and Cowboy Curtis, and Jambi the Genie, Robocop, the Terminator, Captain Kirk, and Darth Vader, Lo Pan, Superman, every single Power Ranger, Bill S. Preston, and Theodore Logan, Spock, The Rock, Doc Ock, and Hulk Hogan all come out of nowhere lightning fast, and kick him in his dynasty's ass

I think the Dragonkin Soldier in the Lake of Rot is funny. Not good, definitely not good. Just funny.
Wonder how it got there
Me too. It was definitely Miyazaki giving players the middle finger. Gonna ACTUALLY explore a giant lake of scarlet rot, huh? You get what you deserve!!!
Glad I just ran straight across the lake and didn't find him!
I would’ve loved if the Lake of Rot had a more unique boss within the rot. Something like an avatar of the god of rot being a scarlet rot inducing scorpion
there is actually the mod for the grand cloister with the scion of the rot god with a demi human queen first phase and demon prince second phase with scarlet rot. but the scorpion thing is a good idea
Would have been fun if it was a lobster that starts shooting rot right as you enter lake of rot and you needed to raise the platform dodging the rot projectile.
well now there is a centipede scorpion monster woman with a scarlet rot glaive in the dlc so this comment aged like fine wine
The dragon scale blade disrespect is crazy
I once got a really bad randomized Fia's Champions where one had the Mohg spear and the other and the other had Frenzy magic. I couldn't help but laugh
Fun Fact: The Siofra river Dragonkin Soldier cant actually also be accessed past the Mimic Tear fight by skillfully dropping through the enviroment. I've never seen anyone besides me actually do this and it took me a while to pull it off which just bumps it up a few spaces for me
I know you’ve already ranked most of them with the areas, but I think a cave/tunnel boss ranking would be cool! I don’t think anyone has ever specifically made that kind of list.
Always love a new Billy video.
Death lightning isn't actually as useless as you may think, the best way I can describe it is a much more compact ancient lightning strike for faster burst damage, the death blight is barely anything and is just something tacked on not the main thin to look at.
Mohg is awesome and my personal favourit in elden ring. And btw your videos are awesome as well.❤
Hey, the dragon kin in the lake of rot may be bad, but don’t hate on the dragonscale blade. The extra damage to dragon type enemies isn’t really the use, the ash of war is actually crazy good, has frostbite, and lightning damage. It’s a beast
I remember disliking Mohg at first, but now I genuinely consider him an S tier boss, everything about the fight is so damn good
5:05 I wouldn't even been mad had that been an actual sponsor segment, that transition was too clean.
Dragonscale Blade isn’t garbage. You can an excellent Ash of War that buffs it with frostbite
And it procs frost really well too.
undergrounds somehow got a third of the remembrances in the entire game
Mohg it's definitely what mergos wetness should have been more like seeing as it makes sense seeing as he uses blood weapons and bloodborne is a very blood-themed game not just the crow looking creep that can't hit you for anything
Actually I was able to carry the dragon halberd throughout the whole game, cause it’s aow adds extra 160 lightning damage plus 80 frost build up and since it does pierce damage you can use it’s booking attack with spear talisman and aow with shard of Alexandra
Siofra Dragonkin Soldier is also accessible from the top half of Siofra. There's a path down from the bridge area. Aqueduct is to the left of RegalAS, while the path to DKS is to the right.
I ended up fighting Fortissax when i had finalized my build with the Darkmoon Greatsword... they didnt stand a chance. Which is a shame, because the boss truly was spectacular in so many ways. The glaive attack was peak, and Fortissax's Lightning was awe-inspiring
Omg just in time for my birthday :3
Happy birthday ^^
@@BillySYT thanks:3
Happy birthday.
@@lightofthecolossus thank you :3
Honestly same here with Mohg. My most recent run had me SERIOUSLY enjoying the moveset. He’s up at #1 with Placidusax now.
Genuinely love the reveal of Astel more than the actual fight, it’s a decent one, but like you were saying it randomly just sits there every now and then, but the Aesthetic…HOO BOY.
did you know mogh and morgott are brothers
I would've moved Astel to fourth place.
Also, controversial opinion, but I don't think the Valiant Gargoyles are as bad as everyone says. They're not good, but I don't hate them like a lot of people do.
So in my play through the second Ancestor Spirit fell through the ground instantly dying. The fight didn’t even start as I closed distance it died. Anyone else see this?
It's kinda funny that we never think about it whatsoever, but ER has some genuinely good Cosmic Horror.
Like consider DS series. The gods and Lords of Cinder there are basically demigod/Marika/Radagon equivalents. However beyond the medieval pantheon of ER, there are the incomprehensible outer gods, who can clearly significantly affect the condition of the lands between. Say Frenzy, Rot, Formless Mother, and ofc the Greater Will.
Then we see the Primeval Current. Like what is this thing that when Azur or Lustat glimpsed it, they turned to crystal. Its fascinating. Even some of the most otherworldly entities, Elden Beast and the Astels are maybe just aspects of these gods.
Even in BB, their cosmic horror masterpiece, you can see understand and comprehend the Great Ones. The effects are very tangible, say impregnating a woman.
The lack of tangible understanding of the Outer Gods in ER is genuinely chilling.
The mimic is really fun if you take off all your armor and don’t equip it again so you can just box him
In my 5 times playing elden ring I have never once progressed into the atlus plateau besides for his tear until I beat him, I think my first try took about 80+ times but even on my second character no attempt has ever taken more than 5 tries
While the dragon kin in lake of rot is still a terrible boss, I can at least give it a pass for lore reasons. It makes sense why it’s their and why is sucks. The gargoyles on the other hand are just a “fuck it something needs to block the depths” with such a good boss arena in such a cool place in the game there was so much potential there
I think the Valiants get a bit too much hate. While I'm not sure it's an enjoyable fight, it's a skillfull and edge of the seat one, and there's a definite strategy for defeating them. I dislike the Regal Ancestor Spirit, as it's an inconsistent boss and down to complete luck, in terms of how often he buffs his health.
Three of the meteorites Astel summons will always home in on the player, so it's paradoxically safer to stand still, watch out for them and dodge rather than trying to run around.
dragonkin in lake of rot is not that bad bruh 😭definitely not worst in the game
You got me good with the Nord VPN fakeout 😂
I’ve seen most of your Elden ring ranking videos and gotta ask why do you always one twin blade two handed, it does next to no poise damage and it’s so weak with its charge attack, most people powerstance twin blades and have them both with bleed or frost and mostly use it for status effect but playing with just one twin blade like a normal weapon has to be brutal
Thank you, THANK YOU for shitting on the lake of rot dragonkin like it deserves! it makes the godskin duo look like the second coming of gael and is my least favorite souls boss along with bed of chaos and true king allant
Lichdragon Fortissax should had been much lower.
Yes, it is cinematic masterpiece of design, arena, and lore. . . . .
But the fight itself is soo unbalanced, short, and feels very slow at times. And it's Red Lightning feels glitchy, like it's on the character but doesn't do damage. Like, huh?
Never in my life have I been so in disagreement with a statement like "Crucible Knights are fun to fight". I just can't wrap my head around this 😛
Git gud scrub😅😅
Crucible knights are one of the best human shaped enemies in the game, as long as they arent a gank.
@@nayyarrashid4661
Or they could just let us use Torrent to cross the Lake of Rot. I also agree with the gargoyles. I hated these guys mostly due to how aggressive they were and like you said their movesets do not compliment each other
I'm one or the few Soulsborne fans that isn't bothered by poison swamps in the slightest. And I love the dragonbone katana, I've dual-wielded them. The Dragonkin Soldier only killed me once.
It’s nice to know that, even if they’re not at the top, the demigods consistently land somewhere in the top 3
(Where’s the DS3 difficulty ranking???)
So do I have to fight the Dragonkin Soldier? I really really really don’t want to 😂
None of the Dragonkin Soldiers are required to beat the game, so you can skip them all if you want ^^
@@BillySYT what about for the platinum trophy?
@@Cosmo054I think only the ainsel one is needed for the platinum
“I can fix him.” No, you can’t. Sorry. Sometimes you’ve just got to stay away from the bad boys.
I would take the Valiant Gargoyles over shit like the Capra Demon, Gank Squad or Lud and Zalen any day
What happened to the community dark souls 3 ranking?
It'll be out in July. My focus right now is entirely on the Elden Ring DLC cycle, and once coverage is over, I'll go back to my regular community rankings, the Zelda videos, etc. This is a busy time for Souls creators, we've all got to lock in to cover the new content before people get bored.
