Godskin Duo is one of the most fun bosses in the game if you swallow your pride and exploit them. Rolling up with a +10 spirit ash, summoned Bernahl, and a hot bar full of sleep pots is the most satisfying beatdown in the entire franchise.
Thank you for posting this! I'm working my way through the DLC and am trying hard to not see any spoilers. Therefore, any Elden Ring content on UA-cam not related to the DLC is greatly appreciated!
The hate comes more from the speedrunning comunity or challenge comunitty because everything is duabble until they arrive to the fire giant and his massive health bar. Can you see how difficult it is to one shot him or to defeat him with a summon
@Fiddlefiddle5000-qv1ly I mean yeah that's fair enough but a lot of people I've seen rant about him aren't in the speedrunning community at all. You could make a case for the same arguments being used against casuals but even then... what else did you expect? Him having a massive health pool and damage output just makes sense
@@ThePontiff113 "HMMMMMM a colossal being with a giant plate has his weapon. Ugghhhhhh another boss to one shot i guess." One attack later " WHAAAAATTTTTT are you telling me that an giant with the power of a god in him cant be killed in one punch" Another attack later " now this is just broken micheal zaky"
Coming back to this video after finally beating the main game: I can confidently say that Maliketh is not only my favorite Mountaintop of the Giants boss, but my favorite boss in the main game. The fight is singlehandedly one of the most tragic fights in the game, even more after completing Gurranq's questline. The cutscene is beyond hype, and I really enjoyed both phases, seeing him take advantage of the Cinquedea's boost to Bestial Incantations before transforming it into *the* Black Blade and proceeding to go to town on us. The Destined Death debuff keeps you on your toes, and his fast movemebts make it so that you have to make your attacks count. A wonderfully frenetic fight. And how could I *not* mention the OST? Maliketh's theme has easily become my favorite Elden Ring piece, hands down
it always makes me happy to see my least favorite boss of all time, the Godskin Duo, at the bottom of ANY list. Also, ill be real, Placidusax is cool and all, but maliketh is so badass, and is (so far atleast, haven't beaten the dlc yet) favorite boss in the game
I'm in the same boat, I do *kinda* enjoy it. It's fun to work with a summon to do a proper 2v2 battle. Also the Godskin Duo's ai is NOT what people always stress about. While their normal attacks will be as normal, when one is in phase 2 they do actually take turns. Most notably is when the noble is rolling, the apostle usually doesn't do anything. It makes it a bit more fair than people give it credit for. I DO however believe they should've been given separate hp bars and not revive, where once one is dead they stay dead
@@captainmorgs4672 the things that need to be fixed imo is the input reading of them throwing fireballs when healing, and the noble still has a glitch where after he ends his roll, he can suddenly start it up again instantly
What you said about Placidusax is actually applicable to almost every other major boss with the exception of a few, these guys are almost all in their twilight years, PAST THEIR PRIME, which in my opinion makes them even more terrifying.
Commander Nial is genuinely one of my favorite bosses in the game, I wish he was harder lol sometimes I let him kill me so I can redo the fight instead of having to play through to Mountaintops to fight him again
I truly feel like Malekith’s numbers put a damper on what would otherwise be one of the best fight in the game, moveset-wise On a recent playthrough, I went in with an under-leveled weapon so that he wouldn’t go down so fast, and loaded myself up with damage reduction buffs to counteract his insane damage numbers, and it made a huge difference. The attempts went on for much longer and I got the chance to actually learn his moveset. Made what I felt was a middling boss fight into a contender for my favorite fight in the game, alongside Mogh and Melania. It’s so satisfying to learn to dodge all of his attacks. Highly recommend if you feel like you’ve never quite clicked with Malekith’s moveset
Prefer to think Vyke chose to imprison himself out of shame for failing his maiden and falling to the temptation of the Three Fingers. Cause let's be real, he might not be the Elden Lord, but he's the Elden Chad. Got an Ancient Dragon to fall in love with him and resisted and purged the madness inflicted upon him by a being far higher than him. Nobody is going to imprison Vyke, except Vyke.
For the Death Birds and undead in general, I recommend using the great curved club with the Sacred Blade ash of war attached. It absolutely shreds them.
I really do like how different some of our opinions are on bosses. You love the Death Rite Birds but they are legitimately my least favorite field boss in the whole game. Their attacks feel so janky when you’re trying to get in and fight as well as having the longest lasting fire I’ve ever seen
“Niall loses his breath and gives u ample time to attack” as Billy runs away and stands there for 15 seconds instead of attacking. 😂😂😂. Love your content brother, wouldn’t even say you are bad at this game, but just so used to every other content creator being god tier at it. So it makes u look bad even though you probably average.
Plasi actually only had 4 heads, you can see that on the talisman depicting him. One of the necks is just split weirdly. You can find the other 2 heads in the dlc
Vyke I funnily the boss I hate the most in all of ER. I generally dislike NPC bosses, but the Storm Assault, especially when buffed with Vyke's Dragonbolt can genuinely one shot 50 Vig builds with light armour. Given that that move is a true combo, yea it sucks.
No love for Iron Jar Alexander? I know you can fight him at anytime but he gets a health bar in Faram Uzula, wasn’t super tough but what a tear jerker of a quest finale
IMO he doesn’t get nearly enough hate. Fuck that boss, fuck his overinflated health bar, fuck his bullshit fire attacks, fuck everything about him. He is by far the worst thing Fromsoft has ever created.
@@zacharyhuhn8366 Excuse me. His fire attacks are easy to dodge, he has multiple weak spots that you can attack to quickly drain his health. @@Haidenz0 he will combine the bosses which were there before and after the capital gets buried along with the bosses just outside the capital like the crucible knight duo
Fire Giant anywhere higher than last is criminal. Visually stunning boss fight with atrocuous mechanics. Literally just a better looking Ancient dragon. Simple, mindless ankle hacking, chasing him around and trying to avoid a one shot. Not remotely difficult but lacks any engaging machanics
Placi really isn't a super boss imo. Ancestor spirit excluded this guy was by far the easiest remembrance boss. He really doesn't do much as far as difficulty goes and like half the field dragons killed me more than Placi (3 deaths)
Excluding Farum Azula (it’s a different area.) The mountaintops are the weakest part of the game to me both area and boss wise. Being one of the only reasons elden ring isn’t a 10/10 imo
Fighting Vyke himself is soo much better than his hax ass madness spamming infinite fp input reading phantom 😒. If only we got his armor undamaged. Or untouched by creepy priest fingers 😂

The Fingerprint set is my favorite base-game armor, but my current DLC setup is pretty nice too
You can also use bewitching branch on the summoned nights for the commander to turn the fight! Always fun
When the Beast Clergyman asked why the Tarnished betrayed him 😢 I cried

Surely there has to be some other boost we're yet to discover
Honestly Niall would have been far better without the gank
Hell yeah!!! Placi number 1!!
DLC boss reveals where Placids other heads are!
Finished the dlc yet?
“Last field dragon I ever have to rank.”
Yeah about that…
if he ranks the regions seperatley in the dlc, then he is far from over
Mimic Tear and the new Impenetrable Thorns spell trivialize the Duo. I've seen that spell 3 shot them.
Bernahl is also the GOAT in that fight with them. Making the fight a 3v2 is a wonderful thing
Try lindel capital and ashen capital please
Excellent 😊😊
