I started watching this legend when I was in my young teens with my dad. So funny and still avidly watch it now. A class above today’s comedians. Much missed.
What a genius at observing people and so funny with it. I just adored listening to my daddy roaring with laughter watching Dave Allen when I was young - wasn’t until I was older I realised just how funny he was. Life is just so bloody unfair when Dave Allen was taken - I laugh and wonder what he would have made of today’s world and kids and all our gadgetry. Thanks for showing this genius at work x

Was this tribute that Dave performed standup was for Queen Mum, or her daughter Queen Elizabeth? At any rate, Dave Allen was his usual hilarious, spot on and brilliant self in this very humorous and zany comedy presentation. He was simply the best at his craft.

He was my first intro to Irish humour as a kid.
Even as as a kid I was sore with laughter watching him.
His story telling was top notch as well
