Koa, just head up to Zuma Westwards. Not that you don't know already. It's empty, punchy, usually closed out, empty, no one is ever out, there's no crowd at all, but the bathrooms at the dry river mouth at the north end of Westwards can offer a legit cornering slab on a long interval or hurricane swell. Definitely worth it if there's a sand bar. Bring extra boards.

Dont know how to feel...I rode the same waves 1976 1978 same exact wave.. so cool. Back then not many surfers... long walk.. now you can ride bikes . A crowd was 20 guys.. have fun you guys...my things have changed. It's all good....

I'm loving the "living" series in CA. But I am curious about your newfound recovery and how it translates to your big wave resume. You have nabbed some of the most epic set waves at the most epic spots. Can't wait to see you move forward in that realm again. You are a Rothman, so getting waves ain't no big deal. But stuffing Tea'hu'poo on probably the second most epic ride ever is all you Koa. Nathan Fletcher wave there rules all rides, maybe forever.

Koa if you want to get the best waves in California you need to come up to the Big Sur Coast line also Carmel pacific grove Santa Cruz on the central coast you could also hit sand spit in Santa Barbara along the way Head high bra
