Nice to see you in California again, Koa! That crowd at Venice is considered an empty beach in southern California. Haha watch out for needles in Venice water, brutha. Visit Ventura and Santa Barbara county. Keep up the great vlogs!

On a huge south swell, 56th is epic. For most of the summer the point is a lot better. In the summer it never gets smaller than three feet. It is now guarded by the Dunlevy and the Alegrante. You just met one.
In Newport you gotta hit the donut shop just north of the pier for ham and cheese croissants. Best thing about Newport Beach.

Still one holdout house at 56th, across from the tennis court. 2 single car garage doors, wood siding. The one just over your right shoulder, I remember when the old rock/brick/cinderblock wall was where you would stand to look at the waves, and the place that was torn down was tiny.

Surfing in Newport is so frustrating! Black balled usually by noon during the summer months. Sometimes lifeguards are cool with it and some aren’t it just depends 🤷🏽♀️

You should see moonlight state beach Encinitas. You should surf d street it’s right next to moonlight to the left I’ve went out in 1-2 and got a stand up barrel the barrels are like walls there. In my opinion most fun beach break out there

At least NB looked kinda/sorta fun, VB is about as bad as SoCal surf gets...this is why VB/SM surfers invented modern sk8boarding - they wanted to surf more so they created it on land!!!

I go out at Windansea fairly often. It is consistently pretty good, but ALWAYS packed! But Koa goes out when there are 100 guys out at Pipe or Ala Moana Bowls and still catches a huge amount of waves he is so good!
