Nice stuff, Luke! About the mastering stage: you can set up the output of your reference tracks to "EXT OUT", this way the tracks won't be affected by the master chain, so you don't have to bother to route everything to a "bus" track.
Hi Luke :) Just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate that you take time too teach how to produce and a lot of other things we starting producers are wondering. And you stand out from the crowd because you seem so humble and sympathetic when you talk. I have always liked your work and know you are a very good dj so just wanted to give you this feedback so you keep on making videos. Wish you the best! :) sincerely Groove Ability , Oslo/Norway
really good track and its nice to see how you produce i think more djs should show how they produce their tracks .. when i produce my tracks and finish it then i often hear a track thats better than mine so i delete it or try to make it again better :)
I really have no Idea about at least 90% you're talking about here but I watched it nevertheless because I find it interesting and I love to sea/hear about/learn about new and interesting things! I'm a photographer from Germany and you'll probably don't understand what I'm talking about on my channel (not least because it's in german :D ) but I really love hearing about all different kinds of creative professionals because there is always something to learn even though we're not in the same business. Love your VLOGs as well, nice fast-pacing style in there! Have a great day Luke!
Can you release the 1st version as like a vip mix, cause i really like the tribally drop. I love that your old school sound is in this track. Great job Luke.
Hi Luke, thanks once again for excellent tutorial. I have learned and grasped more about music/production with your tutorials than I did when attaining music grades ;)
Hawkboy made a track for a dj named Niel Mac back when Niel was 11. I met Niel at a music production summer camp and he showed me the track Hawkboy helped on which was "Turn up the Bass"
The little title sound insert sounds like a sample from George A Romero's Day of the Dead (1986) ... at least, it's a synth sound from the one used in the soundtrack.... Most curious. :D
Start working everyday on anything and explore the Daw first the try to make something which is good and the share it with internet and do the process again untill some label find you!
i do that but idk there is just so much to do and its pretty intimidating somtimes like i know how to use it for the most part its just that there is so many little things that i have no clue how to use
Learn the daw by reading the manual, yes it might sound boring but its best to know what your working with, try to collab with others and see what they're doing, UA-cam tutorials Have fun!
ME9GA That is true. My statement is also true nonetheless. FM (short form for frequency modulation) changes the phase of the digital waveforms by modulating (multiplying) it by a modulator, which is another waveform. This is exactly what happens inside a waveshaper distortion plugin or anything that says 'sine distortion' or 'parabolic distortion'.
Like What !! i think this Track have original Vibes and elements no like this spinnin Tracks or VINAI Track Copy & Paste ; and this Track Have some groovy Vibes with Drums and feel from Old sound from electro sound and dirty sound
Just watched video where you made "track" on the stage, it was terrible. Video starts and you said " i finish a track at home in 2-4 hours" . You lost some respect man
Thanks Luke for doing that and sharings your tips, True Legend
I am humbled by your humbleness.

I agree...that's much easier :)
I didn`t know you can do that! Thanks!

Hi Luke, thanks once again for excellent tutorial. I have learned and grasped more about music/production with your tutorials than I did when attaining music grades ;)

Thanks man!
very nice beats!!
in the next video can you show us about the presets you use and how you change it please?
Could you also do tutorials about DJ'ing
thx luke
what program is?
more tutorials please : )
Why do you overdrive your sounds with the utility? Do you cut the master volume so it doesn't clip??
no, I think Luke puts utility on the master to check if the track is mono compatible by changing the width parameter down to 0.
For that sidechain you can also use Volumeshaper right?
Yea
Have you worked on FL anytime before?
Yes, he did
He started on FL but then got ableton
Professor shit lol, you're some inspiration

What do you want to know? ;)
Just Download so flps of some popular track and see what they did.
Learn the daw by
reading the manual, yes it might sound boring but its best to know what your working with,
try to collab with others and see what they're doing,
UA-cam tutorials
Have fun!
As a Trumpet player that sounds more like a Tuba in the upper register to me, just saying =)
tutorial of fcukin beats pleaseee
Спасиб Люк)
just gotta mention, the audio of your voice isnt centered so its almost all in my right ear on headphones lol
"back to the Oldschoolsound from 2016" - WTF?
¿ Flp ? :v ok no
saderation
3:10 You mean it FMs the oscillators...
THAT'S =/= DISTORTION
FM is exactly what a waveshaper would do and that is indeed a form of distortion
I don'r know how it is in FM8 but in sytrus they are called operators, and its not distortion ...it's frequency modulation ...
ME9GA

i thought that waveshaping/distortion is compression with low attack and release or something like that....

Luke, use some goddamn colors man :)
Even if colors were applied. Ableton will still look gross. I really like ableton live but it's UI is keeping me away from it.
I agree Shoaib
thats not oldschool dutch sound lol
Man LBL make Dirty Dutch Back in 2005 before Afrojack and all Producers making This style and I know afrojack and quintino discovered by laidback Luke
This track needs work.
