True, true and true. People are hating him for something every fucking "13 years old producer" do. Using samples. Wow if someone of these people that are young producers and get signed for ex to spinnin records, they would use samples for some months because they still needs to learn things. I am sure that Martin is producing original stuff now.

So true. Everytime I'm thinking about how I started producing and love electronic music, it's this video. He changed the game he deserved everything he got since !
People are giving him so much hate for sampling or using sample packs....do you not realize that both house music and hip hop were created by combining samples and instruments together? It's not like he took a song, sped it up, and called it a remix. There's actual work involved.

About drugs? Correct here, stay away. But there is one big problem none of us take into account: TVs - the most popular drugs in every household. Daily watching TV = doing drugs daily. The MK ULTRA MIND CONTROL - search, soul, and start giving out real valuable advice. Stop repeating whatever the TV (most powerful weapon formed against humans minds) spreads. And souls, homeschool your offspring fully out from school programs or the home-schooling of yours and homeschooling at all. And youth, teach yourself, search. Once you received the basic knowledge (writing, reading, doing math) you then can go on on your own. Have hunger for truth/knowledge in you and nothing more is needed, for the tools computer and internet and books is available and in daily use any way. Evolution of Television 1920-2020 (updated) - the greatest weapon ever created. And as we promo the A. I and all the ways it can be used, we promo deceiving others and being deceived.
It actually is hard to do, the sounds quality in itself is impressive but then the sound selection as well, finding everything that fits perfectly is over half the battle. Doing it with stock plugins is near impossible unless you’re Martin garrix lol
I used to try to produce stuff growing up and I think it’s extremely hard. I can’t think of much stuff that’s harder to me. But i think I also lack talent for producing and never found the right approach for getting better at it even though I spent a lot of time
His music is just a lonely bass line with a feint melody. Oh yes, I can only imagine the effort he puts in his tunes in an attempt to satisfy the mainstream.
The effort is all in his audio production, we could all be sitting with those giant samplebanks and wound't even know shit about fitting it together in a mix. Also the lonely bassline and the feint melody is in amazing and perfect contrast to his melodic and intense buildups.
haha, then what the hell are u waiting for ? start producing this easy music and headline ultra, or just live the rest of ur life, avreage bitching about succsesful people , cause admit it, deep down inside ur jealous :)
Everyone shaming him for using lops are mad because hes making millions and is famous for using a simple method and his creativity, while you are here wasting your time on hard stuff that doesn't sound half as good. Get over yourselves, calling him 'loop lover' or whatever is just making yourself look sad, go home and make some music instead of bitching.
+TheLurkingPanda lol I dont take those people seriously, using a loop here and there if it inspires you is great!! just dont fucking using all loops to make something and call it your own. I just ask "Are you famous, rich and everybody knows your name?' oh no you say? well shut the fuck up.
Now I understand why it is so hard to me, to make a good eletronic song. It's because I am trying to create one, from scretch, composing Melodies on guitar, trying to sound new, not using ctrl+c ctrl+v method.
yes you can make songs from scratch but why reinvent the wheel? the sounds are already there the electronic tools are there to manipulate any sound on this earth into something different. i think morphing and mixing samples is incredible, allows for quick creativity providing creativity to flow more freely. if its takes days to create a good part on a guitar what can take an hour using samples, think of how much actual creativity time you just lost messing around on the guitar. and another thing no person on this earth can play exactly in time as a computer i think the incredible accuracy and repeatability makes electronic created music so appealing to both creators and listeners.
joakim karlsson it got famous without tiesto's help. spinnin spread it and its catchy too. but It's really really simple. nothing wrong with the production tho
+what no lol I know I know. I'm just saying. These kids are hating on him but regardless of they're hate it his quality of music, he obviously did something right to get all this money.
***** he appealed to 18 year old jocks on molly who suddenly want to be part of this 'new music'. The argument isnt that hes not popular, obviously he is. the PROBLEM is that hes popular because he really isnt very good. hes great at stealing things though.
His music may sound simple but ittakes alot of fine EQ, tuning, reverb and compression and knowledge of chords and chord progression and not one of these things is a quick task. We aren't fans but we respect every musician who's braved past stage fright.
I see a lot people say that martin garrix is not that good. well, take 2 minutes of your time to read this. I am a business management student from India and i am one of those people who wonder ever day "what the fuck am i suppose to do in life". I used to have the same thought almost 2 years ago until i went on a corporate educational trip from my university to japan where i saw Diplo playing at a club. After 15 minutes of pushing through people i made it to the front and i was amazed looking at him Djing and for the first time in my life i wondered "How is he doing that" and i instantly fell in love with digital music and the idea of making music through computers.I saw an interview of him in which he said that he used to work many jobs some of which were a school teacher and a subway waiter and he also said that he had literally no idea about music until he started Djing at the age of 23 and he had to learn everything from "scratch". "learning, practice and determination are the key" he said and said "Anybody can make music" and MAN.! I was blown away..!! So i got myself a DAW and started to learn everything from scratch and let me tell you it's tough.! damn it's HARD.!! i can't play shit yet..!! but i am determined and i am learning everyday. I don't want to be a star or something, i just want to be satisfied with the thought that I CAN make music. So with this i want to tell people that if you think Garrix's music is crap, why don't you try ? then you will come to know how tough it is. Peace .!
It's not that it's bad, it's just that is was pretty lazily done. I also produce music, but I've been doing it for years. Still, he deserves credit for the success of this song.
+KineX good to know that you have been producing for years. I was hoping to find someone who would give me some tips and help me in the learning process.
that's great bro ... even I fell in love with this digital music and instantly tried to learn something.... I've chosen Fl studio as the medium since 2 years I've been learning, practising and producing.... it's hard requires a lot of pateince to the sound you are after but still doin what we love is the ultimate dope shit
Who cares if he pirated the vst's..he got money now from this track and im sure will buy the full..i pirated FL till i made some money with it to buy the full thing..

There is quite a bit of hate going on here. And I say that even as someone who isn't really a fan of Garrix, or Animals for that matter. As a guy who recently started making music, (Like about 5 or 6 months ago literally) I still use presets (yes yes, let the hate flow through you...) but I try to change them up and make them unique as much as I can, while still giving the song the right sound I'm looking for. I would LOVE to be able to make my own sounds in the future. I feel like producing could be tons easier if I knew A) What sound I was going for and B) What I need to do to get to that sound. I'm working step-by-step with each track, and I feel like I learn something new every time. That to me is a really cool thing. That said, I think Garrix here is getting a little too much hate. I mean, I do think at some point an electronic musician should at least try to make their own sounds, but you can't just dive in headfirst and expect everything to just fall into place. Obviously the guy has some knowledge of how to get the sounds he's looking for, since he put on a lot of effects and filters on each of the tracks he showed us. So I say give him some time. Perhaps he is still learning new things with the tracks he creates.
***** blah blah... so what and if any person was in "poverty" got the same recognition he did there would be another person like you mad at their success. shit will never end
+DeathlyHall0w martin wrote a peice of code called animals, it got aalot of attention, mark zukerberg wrote fb, maybe noit him but do you get it, maybe there are better peopole then mark but it iswaht it is
+DeathlyHall0w You can oversimplify every other genre by that logic. Rock is just a bunch of angsty teens strumming on chords, hip-hop is just generic beats and rap is a thesaurus vomiting. It's a lot more complicated than that.
After 5-6 years of music production i learned one important thing... nobody cares if you are original or not. Its all about talent, and a producer with little knowledge of a program and lots of talent can make a platinum selling record, while a person with less talent or luck but with more knowledge can go on for a lifetime, never receiving the recognition he deserves. What Garrix explains in this video doesnt impress me in ways of program knowledge at all, but his talent and creativity with what he knows weighs up for it.
No one noticed he's using a pirated copy of Sylenth 1? Licensed by Team Air? Lol i guess even rich people wont pay for certain things. Great song though

@@TYGERRECORDSor Avicii haha
I used to try to produce stuff growing up and I think it’s extremely hard. I can’t think of much stuff that’s harder to me. But i think I also lack talent for producing and never found the right approach for getting better at it even though I spent a lot of time
This kid has great potential, he should keep working that way and maybe one day he’ll be someone

His music is just a lonely bass line with a feint melody. Oh yes, I can only imagine the effort he puts in his tunes in an attempt to satisfy the mainstream.
Well it satisfied me.
That IS house music, nothing against house, i love it but that is just house.
Come on. Stupid haters.
21:52 - 21:57 when the track is done & future music still stares at you & you dont know what to do
And then you hit your elbow
6:53 you can see that before this video he was working on the song"tremor" because of the file name "Dimitri Vegas Like mike & Martin garrix" lmao
when u make a nice music that takes ages and your computer dies forever 0:03
No one:
Martin Garrix: umm yeah
He says that 15 minutes straight
your mom word to Uzi
he's not just a dj but a producer, and engineer. he's creating pieces of art for the scene
11:50 adding alot of......yeah
LMAO
Yeah
Everyone shaming him for using lops are mad because hes making millions and is famous for using a simple method and his creativity, while you are here wasting your time on hard stuff that doesn't sound half as good. Get over yourselves, calling him 'loop lover' or whatever is just making yourself look sad, go home and make some music instead of bitching.
+TheLurkingPanda well said. simplicity is the ultimate sophistication- Leonardo Da Vinci
lmao nice 👏👏
exactly fl is used by a lot of pros. its not about the daw its about how well the producer can work it to its fullest capabilities
+TheLurkingPanda lol I dont take those people seriously, using a loop here and there if it inspires you is great!! just dont fucking using all loops to make something and call it your own. I just ask "Are you famous, rich and everybody knows your name?' oh no you say? well shut the fuck up.
+TheLurkingPanda it his style his fame, his flow i have my own way of making beats so please check this thirteen year old producer

Big respect to Martin for showing us how it's done! 👏
Look at Ed Sheeran. He did songs with one guitar, a small bright beat, and his voice :)

idk why so many people are hatin on garrix. he's just making music and havin fun..and got fame by doing so. His production isn't bad at all...
Yes right.
just be honest... you really think that track made it because it was goood? or maybe because he knows tiesto?
He should've stuck to hardstyle then.
joakim karlsson it got famous without tiesto's help. spinnin spread it and its catchy too. but It's really really simple. nothing wrong with the production tho
Alexis Phade atleast not the final result
idk why there's so much hate. This kids 19 years old worth 14mill.
y'all ain't shit.
He makes shit music
+Andrew Esdaile well, i guess since he has a lot of money, we cant hate him. you know who else was really rich? hitler.
+Andrew Esdaile Basically just people who are subconsciously jealous of Martin and/or are hipsters lol
This guy is the very reason I got into music production myself.
Can i see your work?
@@astralpa I'm looking for people to see my work, it's gonna be a pleasure to show you mine.
00:30 Instructions to become one of the greatest DJs of all time
2:38 how does he do that weird scratch power down effect?
Viral Killer The ducking volume of the audio? That’s sidechain compression
Or the Tapestop effect that slows down the track?
Its a plugin called gross beat
You can use dblue tape stop plugin to make that effect
Automate low pass filter.
His music may sound simple but ittakes alot of fine EQ, tuning, reverb and compression and knowledge of chords and chord progression and not one of these things is a quick task. We aren't fans but we respect every musician who's braved past stage fright.
Yeah
Anonymous yes
Which was all done by his engineers.
engineers? what engineers did garrix have in 2014 when he was just starting to get big?@@DAATHOS
You can feel the vibe of those 2014 sounds, good times
He's using a pirated version of Sylenth, "Licensed to Team AIR".
How do you know that?

WTF ;D

Peace .!
+Anuroop Pv (anuroop p.v) wow
It's not that it's bad, it's just that is was pretty lazily done. I also produce music, but I've been doing it for years. Still, he deserves credit for the success of this song.
+KineX good to know that you have been producing for years.
I was hoping to find someone who would give me some tips and help me in the learning process.
Anuroop Pv Just hmu on skype and I'll try and help. My Skype is cplblast
that's great bro ...
even I fell in love with this digital music and instantly tried to learn something....
I've chosen Fl studio as the medium
since 2 years I've been learning, practising and producing....
it's hard
requires a lot of pateince to the sound you are after
but still doin what we love is the ultimate dope shit
Who cares if he pirated the vst's..he got money now from this track and im sure will buy the full..i pirated FL till i made some money with it to buy the full thing..
The problem is ... people will not sue you till you have a lot of money to take. Now this brat earned good risk to be sued.
Roberto S Dude, seriously. The Swedish House fucking Mafia pirated their VSTs. Afrojack pirates his VSTs I think the only "EDM" producer that doesn't is Nicky Romero.
Roberto S they actually asked him via twitter if he'd like the new plugin for free.
It's not. Only John Dahlback's music's getting worse. Avicii is doing pretty well, so is Nicky with his recent Remixes, Aoki was never that great.
YOU KNWO HOW MUCH FUCKING MONEY IT COSTS TO MAKE A BEAT???
Martin: « I don’t know I just press buttons », use an old ass pc, no keyboard, files named HAHAHA LOLOL, cracked versions of VSTs

Every producer gotta start somewhere! Pirating is key to success :)
Can't believe it man! He made like millions and still pirating.
haha even millionaires don't want to spend that much money for a damn synth
yea lol
this vid is from 2014 lol and i think its obvious that when u are famous u have a lot of money but, usually ,not before it so he had pirated it, then after succes he could buy it but thats to reinstall and a lot of stuff that producers dnt wanna do
Martin Garrix: You hear how its ... badly produced

Still #1 DJ in the world. How's your job going?
Robbert Mesman bro he just joked why you aggressive
Thanks for the support man. =) I'm working on it. Same to you!
Ok already 7 years ago, I've already watched it so many times. UA-cam still recommending it to me. Martin ready for a new video section? We are ready!

+DeathlyHall0w Try Lorn. I guess he had a hard life. Ended up making the OST of Killzone Shadow Fall. Hard work only
+DeathlyHall0w martin wrote a peice of code called animals, it got aalot of attention, mark zukerberg wrote fb, maybe noit him but do you get it, maybe there are better peopole then mark but it iswaht it is
+DeathlyHall0w You can oversimplify every other genre by that logic. Rock is just a bunch of angsty teens strumming on chords, hip-hop is just generic beats and rap is a thesaurus vomiting. It's a lot more complicated than that.
Seriously, he doesn't have a midi. I can't believe he makes such beautiful melodies.

this is wat people call HARD WORKING!!!
Ashron Chan this is hard work lol. i produce music myself and it takes shit loads of time to make every little thing perfect.
Fucking Take Me A Month To Make Is Perfection....
What Garrix explains in this video doesnt impress me in ways of program knowledge at all, but his talent and creativity with what he knows weighs up for it.
these are some very true words, I absolutely agree with you, thank god Im not alone with this opinion
John Andersson finally, someone gettin' it..
No one noticed he's using a pirated copy of Sylenth 1? Licensed by Team Air? Lol i guess even rich people wont pay for certain things. Great song though
