I’m learning how to dj and I’ll say you put the best content, you explain why things are used or done a certain way and then you follow it with an example. Absolutely the best so keep it up!
@@MiguelangelCortes-fk5tm hi Miguel - that’s amazing that you are learning. It’s such a beautiful thing when you start seeing your own progress - I hope it’s going well. Thank you for such a kind comment - genuinely makes me smile knowing that it is useful content for someone:)
So glad I found your channel and I hope you do get a much bigger audience. I have a Flx10 and you are really inspiring me to do more with my own mixes so thanks 🙏
@@KateronaOne hi Katerona - the FLX10 is great and you’ll be able to loads with it - can see you have your own channel (I have just subscribed). Was listening to your mix “Saturday set” from 7 days ago and as soon as I heard the breakdown in the Sophie Ellis Bexter track at 29 mins 13 seconds I thought immediately what a great sample loop you could make from four to eight beats of that layered over another track - either during a breakdown or potentially if you removed some of the low end it could come in after the drop of another track to create more drama :)
Another great vid! If i can make one suggestion for future videos. Demonstate the full mix right in the beginning to hook the audience and then work back on all the details afterwards.
@@ebow707 I wish I could store loops on SC6000 without having to change the pads mode! This drives me crazy on Denons... I wish I had been patient for a few more months until the CDJ 3000 came back in stock.
@@djmikit001 Hi Miki - thanks mate. Yeah I thought the same thing - I don’t think it’s a volume thing, I think it’s lifting the sample so it sits a little higher in the mix - definitely going to have a play around with it
Thanks for doing this video, great insight into your thoughts and process. It’s a lot of work to get a remix to this point. My current workflow when getting new tracks includes looking for nice clean vocals or sounds that I can set hot cues for and tease in to the outgoing track. This allows me to do a basic level of remix without a lot of pre-planning meaning I can hit the decks of an evening and just play. With that said I do like the idea of creating a few detailed remix combinations that I can drop in to my sets. If you do get chance please give my latest mix on YT a listen and provide me with some honest feedback, constructive of course 😊 thanks again. 👍
Hi mate - I am so sorry. I normally check if people have a channel too and give them a follow and I missed yours. Have just subscribed:) Of course will give yours a listen and comment on there with feedback. Also your flow above makes sense - sounds like you are making the tracks/mix yours by doing something creative!
@@ebow707 thanks, that wasn’t the intention of my ask, I’m just looking for some constructive feedback. Good to know I might be on the right track (no pun intended) 🤣 Thanks again.
Hi Bboymac - good to see you chief :) No just using 3/4 inch audio cables into the line input on the mixer and then mixing by ear - I trigger the MPC as I would a deck and have to manage drift by nudging the 3000s. You can sync the midi clock on the MPC and they also support Ableton Link so the MPC will adjust the overall BPM set to that of the decks - but it is not synced or quantised - it just tells the MPC if there was a change in BPM and it updates it. The only unit I have see which truly syncs and quantises is the DJS1000.
Ha! You nerding out over your music is such good energy. Keep it up!! Another great vid.
Haha thanks chief! You have me nailed too! I am a bit of a geek and love spending time behind there practicing

BTW... on CDJs you can use memory cue for markers or active loops, so you'll have more slots for hot cues and loops! 😉
Another Great Video.
The only thing i would say that there is a drop in energy on the drop. Maybe worth Looking at. Overall Great job 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Are you using the mixer Ethernet port to sync with the MPC?

@@ebow707 yea I had the djs-1000 but check out the “missing link” it allows Ableton from a CDJ to any unit. UA-cam it. My friend created it.
