- I meet up in this moto vlog to race my friend, Mr. Safety, and his 2022 Honda Rebel 1100. Its the battle of the Hondas! On paper the Rebel should win every time. But watch to find out for yourself. Stock 2022 Rebel 1100 Vs. 2007 VTX1800 with V&H Big Shots Exhaust
i love my VTX1800, A power commander-pipes-intake, really wake the bike up
Bout to delete pair valve and install power commander. Did the muffler delete to the shorty. This is a Beast. Godspeed.

Amen brother!
Let us know how ya like it!
Keep it rubber side down@@BangChief_AllIsOne
When I had my VTX 1800, I never passed up on filling the gas tank.
If I remember correctly, when that gas light comes on you’ve got about a gallon and a half left.
The best mileage I ever got on my VTX was 32 MPG.
On one occasion, I wanted to find out the best mileage I could obtain.
From the time I filled up the tank until the next time I had to fill it up, I never twisted the throttle more than moderately (32 MPG).
I created an Excel spreadsheet and kept track of my mileage the entire time I had the VTX.
I averaged between 29 and 30 MPG for the time I owned the bike.
What's nice about the F series is, the gas tank is slightly larger than the other models. That little extra makes a big difference. 32 MPG is solid, its hard to ride this bike slow.
I put those egr remover plates (desmog kit) on my VTX 1800 stock exhaust, air filter cone makes the bike run rich witch makes the cone necessary and very fast!
I've heard those desmog kits help with the decel popping, but I kind of enjoy that noise haha. Does it seem quicker than before the mods?
Way faster! sounds better too but uses more fuel @@grimsmotovlogs369
May be a future mod I do for sure!
Wow that rebel 1100 took off so fast
Sounds like your clutch is going out! Might need a retry with a fresh clutch!
Its definitely slipping. I may try an oil change first and see if that changes anything, since it has under 4000 miles. otherwise I think I'm going to upgrade to a heavy duty clutch.
@@grimsmotovlogs369 I want to get a hd clutch for mine eventually, they are big ol beasts! Mine is a 2002 VTX1800R!
Is your vtx stock?
I have one with intake fuel chip and v&h pipes and its "nasty" throw those things on your bike and the rebel will be in your mirrors real quick.
Downside is I can't pass a gas station without having to stop lol.
Aside from the Big Shots exhaust and the suspension mods, its pretty much stock. What intake do you run? and do you use a power commander or did you have your ECU flashed?
What mic setup you using?
Salute
Hey, currently I'm using a Go Pro 10 w/ Media Mod, and then I grabbed some generic lavalier mic from Best buy for like $25.
@@grimsmotovlogs369 Right on Bradda.

First!!!
There is no way on Gods green earth that any Honda Rebel 1100 version would even come close to equaling a VTX 1800.
Granted, I have never ridden the Rebel 1100 but I did own a VTX 1800F1 which, I put 16,000 miles on.
There ….. is ….. no ….. way.
It would seem it is faster then "This particular" VTX. Running like crap.
power to weight ratio says otherwise, not to mention traction control. The VTX wheel spins anytime you ask it. The Rebel, not so much.
Man that 1100 is quick - much lighter than the VTX 1800 tho.
yeah, its something like almost 300 lbs more!
Sounds like the clutch is slipping.
Pretty sure it was. Bike is basically brand new. But sat for a long time. Going to try replacing the oil first even though it’s not too old and see if that helps. If not. I’ve got a few issues related to the clutch I probably need to address this winter or spring
@@grimsmotovlogs369 yeah just make sure it’s motorcycle oil for wet clutches.😎
hahaha
*promo sm* 😥
