When i saw it, i thought, hand jam, that is unusual. Wide boyz would appreciate it.
I know no one cares but I managed to stick my first couple of hand jams yesterday (a rare sight in a bouldering gym). It felt really weird and especially off width jams were tricky but it was great fun!
I think you should try and do a breakdown of some of the climbing we saw during the Olympics, there is a lot of interest about it, now would be a good time to capitalise on that. Great vid as always Magnus.
For real. I'd also love to see an analysis of the boulder problems that weren't completed on the men's and women's side.

It’s wild how strong he is for not lead climbing a lot recently.
It’s not raw strength, it’s his flexibility and technique.
@@Mike-oz4cv of course he has superior technique lol. He’s a former pro… but his strength is what he was known for.
The camera angles are what makes the lead climbing so interesting. When I can get a sense of what you're feeling and the angle of the wall and distance to holds, it makes it really exciting for other climbers *palms constantly sweating during the vid*
I keep my chalk ready nearby when i watch magnus climbing.

Watching Marte is super inspiring as a beginner climber. When Magnus climbs he makes everything look easy, and with Marte you can see how hard it is and how much progress she makes. Makes me want to go to the gym!
Lead climbing is definitely NOT boring to watch, it's awesome!
The more lead climbing the better! Bouldering is awesome too, but we really get to see your technique shine with so many moves back-to-back in the flow of lead climbing. It's really great to watch and learn

I really enjoy watching the lead climbing. Watching you clip helps me learn better technique for clipping, and it's really helpful.

Also, good job Marte! In the future, remember that, “A loaded foot never slips.” When in doubt, put more pressure through your feet, and they’re less likely to slip off the hold. And when on slabby feet, drop your heels to get more rubber contact, both will help you feel more secure 🙂

And just like that Magnus knocks out two 8a routes... onsight... follwed by a 8b to eventually feel some pump 😉. I could watch him climb all day long, no music needed, it's never boring ;) Camera positioning was 👌. The book cover looks phenomenal!

Climbing is such a great and fullfilling activity. It is a lot of fun and a good training
So nice to see lead climbing and hear you are going to do more of it!! Would be cool if you broke down routes like you do with boulders. Also would be neat to see you go through the process of projecting a route beyond your limit. I know a lot of climbers are training for the fall season, I'd be psyched to see a lead climbing series on strength, power, endurance, power endurance and then performance/projecting for routes. Great to see you back on a rope!!

I'm just starting to lead climb myself so I love watching you climb it
I'd love to see you break down the climbing grades for us beginners from 7a -> 9a in lead, like what's the difference between a 7a and a 8a? (in your opinion), is it simply just worse holds or what's going on? Of course it's very different depending on the route but it would be interesting to get a break down of it :)
And see that for some a 6c is more challenging than a 7a

As a larger guy who got back into climbing after almost 10 years, I love watching lead climbing, bouldering is a struggle for me and it is nice to watch how you pace your climbs, as well as techniques that I wouldn't think to use.
The video was very entertaining. I was so on my toes cheering and hoping you would make it on the last route. Loved it.

Magnus, remember the time where you noticed that there where quite a few bouldering channels but no lead ones? That is still true! You can't have too much lead! Love it!
Definitely love the lead climbimng. It displays more of the complexities and stamina, and it's just damn impressive. Mix all the different climbing types + training and you can't go wrong.

Every time I watch your videos I get motivated and energized. Then I go back to my local climbing gym and get destroyed by a V4 boulder problem.
