He references spongebob as "slapstick" but like i remember spongebob's old seasons way more for the well written jokes and quotables rather than the slapstick
Here’s my version of how Spongebob would end: Sponge’s End Plot: Spongebob is working at the Krusty Krab. Mr Krabs tells him he was the co-manager and Patrick would take his place. Spongebob is happy for him and Patrick. Spongebob is doing well as the co-manager but Patrick is rubbish on the grill. He burns things and adds things he didn’t mean to. Spongebob tries to make Patrick smarter, but it doesn’t work. After a while, Patrick gets fired. He tells Spongebob the reason he was always dumb and couldn’t do things. It was because as a baby, he fell on his head. It changed his life forever. Spongebob forgives Patrick for everything dumb he has caused. He tries to make Mr Krabs re-hire Patrick, but he refuses. So Spongebob quits. The Krusty Krab immediately goes downhill. The Chum Bucket is popular now. Mr Krabs fires Squidward, thinking it was his fault. He realises how evil and greedy he had been his whole life. He tries to find Spongebob, but he is on a bus to Coral City. Just before he leaves, Mr Krabs apologises to Spongebob. Spongebob cancels the trip to Coral City, and stays in Bikini Bottom. His family visits him, and he feels loved. Spongebob says he will make a show named ‘Spongebob Squarepants’ and it would be a biography of his life. Patrick says he will make his own show too. Squidward befriends Spongebob. They get their jobs back and they are in peace. The End.
The original creator of Spongebob wanted him to be akin to Dr.Seuss's The Lorax because he wanted to address issues with not politics but the environment and health of the sea. Even characters like Squidbert are akin to their real-life animal habits, Squidbert neglects to feed Garry because squids eat snails. Crabs in real life are very territorial about food and are scavengers saving cashes of leftover animals that they had eaten. Plankton is a Zooplankton which explains his vocabulary despite being prey for animals like Whales and becoming chum which is decomposing sea animal meat. Pearl is adopted by Mr. Krabs because Sperm Whales were orphaned by the mass whaling along with Wright Whales. Also, scallops actually do fly in the sea as they do in the show and Jellyfishing exists because jellyfish are losing the animals like sea turtles that eat them due to overfishing and poaching.
In addition, _The Simpsons_ didn't even get canceled, running for over 30 years. The oldest program to maintain on the air is the 1959 German stop-motion series _Sandmännchen._
I miss when Spongebob used to have other emotions besides happy all the time. Like remember when spongebob got legetimately enraged? Or Miserable but not just sobbing baby sad? Or even petty as fuck? Patrick and even Squidward used to have more facets to their characters, but now, flat. Just flat.
All I personally did with this show throughout my 20s was watch stolen clips, 10 hour loops, UA-cam poops and parodies, Internet memes, listen to soundtrack and musical numbers on UA-cam for fun, I even still played that video game that was based on the first movie
I always thought that Spongebob Squarepants took place in the 2000s, which explains why none of the characters use smartphones, except for that one baby in “Goodbye Krabby Patty” using a keypad phone. I bet that episode took place near the end of the Spongebob timeline.
Interesting, hopefully we see SpongeBob in the next Years in new Movies, Spin-offs and so much more. Hopefully they not ending the Series soon... then i'm heartbroken.
I have a theory about SpongeBob what is the reason it has never aged is because Squidward is in hell. Maybe that's the reason he's tortured in the series
What if Tom Kenny or another key voice actor retired or died that might be the thing to put this franchise on hold for a while. The Looney Tunes disappeared for 2 decades so it’s happened before
Basically the only reason it’s still going today because Nickelodeon knows if SpongeBob were to end, the network will lose so much. Sad they can’t come up with anything new or original. I may have loved SpongeBob growing up but all things must come to end. Should’ve ended about 15 years ago at least.
I personally love him and love the show and I actually have two of the different styles of the vans shoes of him on it, but some people I’ve heard hates the character in which some of them had said the reason why as they think he’s annoying
yeah i say keep it going i wanna see spongebob at 1000 episodes and beyond even when the voice cast passes away get new one's to be as close as possible and loads of movies long live spongebob
Because he’s immortal. And he will last for millions of years. I bet by the time I turn 40 Spongebob will have its 30th season. I’d also like to say this, if Tom Kenny dies, it won’t mean Spongebob will end, Mel Blanc died, but that hasn’t stopped Looney Tunes. So what makes Spongebob different.

@HannahWantsYourMilkshakes I think they aren't masterpieces 😅 But they're pretty good and original.
Broken Alarm is really enjoyable too.
I miss when Spongebob used to have other emotions besides happy all the time. Like remember when spongebob got legetimately enraged? Or Miserable but not just sobbing baby sad? Or even petty as fuck? Patrick and even Squidward used to have more facets to their characters, but now, flat. Just flat.

SHUT UP, FRED!
All I personally did with this show throughout my 20s was watch stolen clips, 10 hour loops, UA-cam poops and parodies, Internet memes, listen to soundtrack and musical numbers on UA-cam for fun, I even still played that video game that was based on the first movie
Plotwist: Spongebob is connected to one piece, if one piece ends, spongebob ends
Nickelodeon: SpongeBob will go on FOREVER!! (Echoes)
I have a theory about SpongeBob what is the reason it has never aged is because Squidward is in hell. Maybe that's the reason he's tortured in the series
💀
I don't think the show is going to end, after all
What if Tom Kenny or another key voice actor retired or died that might be the thing to put this franchise on hold for a while. The Looney Tunes disappeared for 2 decades so it’s happened before
Why hasn't SpongeBob ended yet?
Well, SpongeBob is Nickelodeon's cash-cow. Duh.
Basically the only reason it’s still going today because Nickelodeon knows if SpongeBob were to end, the network will lose so much. Sad they can’t come up with anything new or original. I may have loved SpongeBob growing up but all things must come to end. Should’ve ended about 15 years ago at least.
No, Spongebob is not gonna end, it will still airing new episodes.
I personally love him and love the show and I actually have two of the different styles of the vans shoes of him on it, but some people I’ve heard hates the character in which some of them had said the reason why as they think he’s annoying
He will never leave
spongebob will likely exist as a franchise till time ends
but the show, i give around 7-10 years
The show will never go away. It will be around for the rest of eternity.
One Piece: you dare oppose me you mortal
I have a feeling that SpongeBob SquarePants will air as long as The Simpsons has aired.
I did remember watching documentary about SpongeBob in a Blameitonjorge video, I didn't knew that Hillenburg wanted to end the series until now.
:0
Spongebob should have ended years ago same with The Simpsons and Family Guy
Family guy ended once they just picked it back up
yeah i say keep it going i wanna see spongebob at 1000 episodes and beyond even when the voice cast passes away get new one's to be as close as possible and loads of movies long live spongebob
"real-world events aren't address"
The Quarantine Krab COVID-19 episode: Am I a joke to you?
That episode was produced before the pandemic began
Spongebob will probably end with a new movie
I would be happy, and sad if SpongeBob SquarePants finally ends ngl.
It will end one day but most likely when most people at the start of the show is dead
Mr. Krabs already said it, *Money*
Idc what people say I still really like SpongeBob to this day it grew me up with my childhood
I love the flying dutchman in the series!
Keeping the show’s spiritual theme is the key answer
*Waiting for SpongeBob to end like...*
*Young SpongeBob:* _Im ready!_
*Middle Age SpongeBob:* _I’m ready._
*Old SpongeBob:* _iiiim readyyyy_
*Dead SpongeBob:* **death bell**
*So much later that the old narrator got tired of waiting and they had to hire a new one*
