At this point, if Jack ever want to get up to date with his TBR, somebody needs to create such a quiz but with the answers being only the books from Jack's tbr 😂😂😂
So, so, so loving the home library background, it looks so good! This is the Saturday morning booktube content I’m here for :)))) Also details to join the community book club in the replies if you’re interested!
jack i saw someone on tiktok decide their next read the same way the reaping works in the hunger games, write down the titles of all the books on your tbr, the number of entries based on how long you’ve owned it, thats a video idea for you if you’d like to try it😊
Hi, Jack! I wanted to ask you, maybe you can make a video on reading the books that were recommended by Hozier. He recently has released a new album and most of the songs were inspired by books! I thought it was a great idea for your channel! Thanks and I'd be really happy if you considered this idea! Love your channel and you're a ray of sunshine😊
It's funny because Jack opted for a small book, and he got one of the lengthier ones 😂😂. I got a good one, opted for an Irish story set in the past, small size, and recommended by M. Atwood = "Old God's Time" by Sebastian Barry, not bad, and I like the synopsis. I can't wait, happy reading 😀 📖📚
I got Pearl by Siân Hughes, and it's totally something I would read, so I rate this quiz 10/10! We had a lot of the same answers, so it's cool to see that those few different answers really matter. Sometimes quizzes like these will give you the same answer based on like 3 of the 10 questions.
Not a booker winner, but Sean Hewitt’s memoir “All Down Darkness Wide” is the best book I’ve read in a WHILE! I stayed up all night to finish it, and I can’t stop thinking about it!! Highly, highly recommend!
I think if you like irish writing, you should try the third policeman by flann o'brien. It's not much like claire keegan or sally rooney, and it's also a bit older, but it is definitely one of my irish-authored books that I keep returning to over and over. It's weird and surreal and a bit dark and very funny.
I did the quiz at the same time and got If I Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery - not necessarily what I first expected but an intriguing novel it seems from the summary!
My poetry professor is on this longlist! I took Elaine Feeney's poetry class at the University of Galway last year. She's just the loveliest, funniest person. Check out her long listed book, How to Build a Boat, she's a lovely writer.
Oooh that sounds like a really interesting premise! I have a funny relationship with The Booker Prize (the novels I’ve read I haven’t liked that much) but this sounds cool! Love these types of videos too :D
I just watched your video and did the test directly afterwards. I picked several different answers, but I got the same result as you. For example you want a book that makes you cry and i want one that makes me smile, so maybe the bee sting is heading in both directions. I would love to hear your take on it! Cause it isn´t anything i would have thought of picking for myself. :)
I got Pearl, and I think this quiz must be psychic because a) that was the first Booker Longlist book I had my eye on initially and b) it's completely and utterly my vibe!
The other day I was wondering if you had read Skippy Dies by Paul Murray, which I loved. The only thing is The Bee Sting is 650 pages! Skippy Dies is also quite long. Seems like the quiz didn’t take the “short and sweet” answer very seriously. Can’t wait to see if you read it and what you think!
I got In Ascension by Martin McInnes! Sounds very intriguing but the whole setting being in the ocean is making me a little apprehensive 😅 Still going on my TBR regardless haha
My book is If I Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery set in Miami while tackling racism before Hurricane Andrew. What makes it interesting is how Jonathan inserted himself being a Miami native with Jamaican parents.
I got the bee sting as well but with completely different answers and tbh it doesn’t really sound like something I would particularly enjoy. Maybe I’ll read it somewhen in the future but I guess I should be glad that my reading list didn’t get any longer because of this quiz
Hi Jack, sorry to ask this but could you provide the measurements in inches for each gap between your shelves? I have also bought the billy bookcase and I have six bookshelves. Struggling to space it out for all my paperbacks to fit. 😅
I came up with this challenge for myself that I can only buy another book if I read 3 that I already own (I’m also guilty of stacking books I haven’t read and keeping buying new ones 😅) So maybe you would be up to a challenge as well? I think that would be the perfect strategy to push me to read my tbr because I’m so excited for the reward of buying another book later, but the pile would still get smaller. Or anyone else wants to join?
My recommendation was Old God's Time. Yeah, I'm not sure about that one lol. Not really my vibe. Loved the quiz though. Last year's quiz picked The Trees, which is absolutely correct (and should have won).
I got In Ascension by Martin McInnes. After watching all the initial reviews I’m the most keen on In Ascension, Prophet Song, This Other Eden, Old Times God and All The Little Bird Hearts
Do it! I've read both 'Mark and the Void' and 'Skippy Dies' by Murray and they both made me feeeeeeeel. And yes, also cry! So I'm grabbing the next Paul Murray.
I first got Pearl and because I'm such an overthinker I redid the quiz by submitting my 'second' answers and got If I Survive You - what a coincidence hahah! Both seem really interesting though so I guess it's working
I too will read The Bee Sting by Paul Murray. It actually sounds interesting, even though I'm not that keen on book making me cry (even though these are always awesome). And I'm gonna go, do the quiz.
New subscriber. I love your videos. Have you ever thought about doing a video on guilty pleasure books or a video on books where the writing may not be good but the story, the idea is good. Just a suggestion. 😸
Sir, you have 25% of your library full of TBRs and you’re using a quiz to decide what you want to read next? OF COURSE I’D DO THE SAME THING
👀😂😭🤌🏾
Bruh u had me in the first half
At this point, if Jack ever want to get up to date with his TBR, somebody needs to create such a quiz but with the answers being only the books from Jack's tbr 😂😂😂
Just pick any book and read Jack you have procrastinated enough
Asked for a short & sweet book, and they gave you an almost 700 page book 😂
So, so, so loving the home library background, it looks so good! This is the Saturday morning booktube content I’m here for :))))
Also details to join the community book club in the replies if you’re interested!
It’s on Re
ddit :)

omg I love this idea

I thought it was a great idea for your channel!
Thanks and I'd be really happy if you considered this idea!
Love your channel and you're a ray of sunshine😊
its hilarious how you said you like it short and sweet but it recommended you a 650 page book lmaoo

I feel like the longlist is particularly strong this year - so many that I want to read ✨
the quiz predicted your favourite book of the booker prize 😂
Got a Spell of Good Things by Ayòbámi Adébáyò and honestly looks completely like something I'd read. Plus I just dig vibrant covers
Same!
I got the same book!
I got Pearl by Siân Hughes, and it's totally something I would read, so I rate this quiz 10/10! We had a lot of the same answers, so it's cool to see that those few different answers really matter. Sometimes quizzes like these will give you the same answer based on like 3 of the 10 questions.
I got the same.
Me too!

our answers couldn't be more different and i got the same book
I' m happy to tell you that my choices were often contradictory to yours and I got "If I survive you".
I did the quiz at the same time and got If I Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery - not necessarily what I first expected but an intriguing novel it seems from the summary!
the quiz is not there
I got it too!
Was reading "woman in the window". Stopped that just to see Jack what you are gonna read next😂😂. Your book choices are great 😁❤️
Yes to the Irish telling the best stories!
My poetry professor is on this longlist! I took Elaine Feeney's poetry class at the University of Galway last year. She's just the loveliest, funniest person. Check out her long listed book, How to Build a Boat, she's a lovely writer.
The Bee Sting sounds like it has the vibes of the show "Flowers" which i highly recommend btw xx
You are strong cause I’d have redid the quiz until I got the book I want
Oooh that sounds like a really interesting premise! I have a funny relationship with The Booker Prize (the novels I’ve read I haven’t liked that much) but this sounds cool! Love these types of videos too :D
I got ‘pearl’ by Sian Hughes. My amazon app finger is twitching while I try not to look at the 60 books in my tbr pile
I also got The Bee Sting and answered the questions SOOOO differently! This book must be wild!
I did the quiz and I got: A Spell of Good Things by Ayọ̀bámi Adébáyọ̀ and after reading the description, it sounds like it’s up my ally 😂
the quiz is not there
I got the same book suggestion! Although we had different answers
Me too!
Me too, my answers were completely different, this is weird.
I just watched your video and did the test directly afterwards. I picked several different answers, but I got the same result as you. My answers gave me "Old God's Time" which was already on my TBR.
I have had my eye on The Bee Sting but just took the quiz and it told me to read If I Survive You, lol, maybe I'll read both.
love these quiz videos !!
I had just finished taking the quiz and got 'Pearl' when Jack said he'd like to read it, so I guess I have to read it now.
I got Pearl too🎉
I got A Spell of Good Things, it makes me tear up already after reading the blurb. Excited to read it next after my exams.
I got In Ascension by Martin McInnes! Sounds very intriguing but the whole setting being in the ocean is making me a little apprehensive 😅 Still going on my TBR regardless haha
I have no idea what my answers would have been, but it's been fun to see that I was mostly right about my assumptions on _your_ answers 😂
I got suggested Pearl by Siân Hughes through this quiz
I got The House of Doors which is the one book on the list I have already considered reading so I guess it is spot on for me.
The Bee Sting sounds very interesting and cool ❤
My book is If I Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery set in Miami while tackling racism before Hurricane Andrew. What makes it interesting is how Jonathan inserted himself being a Miami native with Jamaican parents.
I didn't even know this quizz exsisted! Taking it now 😅
Such a fun idea and quiz Jack ❤
I haven’t seen a single one of those movies 🤦🏻♂️
I got the bee sting as well but with completely different answers and tbh it doesn’t really sound like something I would particularly enjoy. Maybe I’ll read it somewhen in the future but I guess I should be glad that my reading list didn’t get any longer because of this quiz
I got ‘The House of Doors’ by Tan Twan Eng.
Hi Jack, sorry to ask this but could you provide the measurements in inches for each gap between your shelves? I have also bought the billy bookcase and I have six bookshelves. Struggling to space it out for all my paperbacks to fit. 😅
"A little life" in the back... I will cry... Again
I got 'If I Survive' 🤫 It sounds pretty interesting.
I took this quiz too and got the same book rec!
I took the quiz with you and I was recommended If I Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery.
I got If I Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery. On my tbr it goes.
I also got The Bee Sting and it has now moved to the top of my TBR list ☺️
We had some very similar answers, but Pearl was my recommendation
I got If I Survive You. Very intrigued. 😊
I got Pearl by Sian Hughes and it actually sounds right up my alley
I just finished If I Survive You and I loved it!
I came up with this challenge for myself that I can only buy another book if I read 3 that I already own (I’m also guilty of stacking books I haven’t read and keeping buying new ones 😅) So maybe you would be up to a challenge as well? I got In Ascension by Martin McInnes. After watching all the initial reviews I’m the most keen on In Ascension, Prophet Song, This Other Eden, Old Times God and All The Little Bird Hearts
I got "You should read: Prophet Song by Paul Lynch"
3:31 Definitely by the Irish given the recent spate of great literature that were featured.
I got Pearl ! Sounds very intriguing
Would love to see a video like this but you read the book too!
I did the quiz and it picked the only book that had interested me! 🎉
Do it! I've read both 'Mark and the Void' and 'Skippy Dies' by Murray and they both made me feeeeeeeel. And yes, also cry! So I'm grabbing the next Paul Murray.
I got Pearl !! will definitely read that then
i've just finished a little life and this book is staring at me from behind you 👀
I first got Pearl and because I'm such an overthinker I redid the quiz by submitting my 'second' answers and got If I Survive You - what a coincidence hahah! Both seem really interesting though so I guess it's working
I got The Bee Sting by Paul Murray
I too will read The Bee Sting by Paul Murray. It actually sounds interesting, even though I'm not that keen on book making me cry (even though these are always awesome). And I'm gonna go, do the quiz.
Our answers are so different besides "make me cry". I got "In Ascension" by Martin MacInnes
I picked a lot of dog answers to the quiz and got The Bee Sting too
Got The House of Doors by Tan Twan Eng and I want to read it so bad! Loved it!
As per this I should be reading “A spell of Good things “ and I will read it ❤
I got the bee sting too which I’ve already read and wanted to throw at the wall after that ending
I got The House of Doors by Tan Twan Eng. i do really want to red that soon
but i want to read most of the long list
I love a good quiz!!
I got A Spell of Good Things! 🧡🧡
I filled it in to different ways both also different from yours but both times I also got the bee sting😅
I also got it
I got Pearl by Siân Hughes and gotta say I'm intrigued
It's so interesting how we had 4 different answers and yet we got the same book!
I got Pearl. I knew it, already on my list
Interesting I got Pearl, but wanted to read The Bee Sting
His physical tbr crying rn
New subscriber. I love your videos. Have you ever thought about doing a video on guilty pleasure books or a video on books where the writing may not be good but the story, the idea is good. Just a suggestion. 😸
You have my dream bookshelf ❤
we got the same book recommendation 😆
SO EXCITED!!!😊
If I Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery
I got Old God’s Time by Sebastian Barry!
I think the Booker Prize might just be pushing The Bee Sting because I answered every question differently and got the same book.
Got The House of Doors by Tan Twan Eng! 😊
I got This Other Eden by Paul Harding! Maybe I’ll put it on my tbr📚
You know the second this video finished, I clicked on the link and did the quiz for myself. P.s: LOVING the bookcases!!
I've got the Pearl by Sian Hughes ;)
It’s so strange, I always do these quizzes alongside Jack, and I usually answer very different, but somehow we always end up with the same result?
I got 'The House Of Doors' by Tan Twan Eng and it looks promising 😊📚
I got Pearl 😅 sounds awesome
