6 years later (2024) I’just seeing this, but have followed Childers career in the years since. Wish these 2 would go back and release an album together. Amazing.
Lyrics You say this life is not your lot Well I can't be something that I'm not We can't stoke a fire that we ain't got There ain't no ash will burn Love is a precious thing I'm told It burns just like West Virginia coal But when the fire dies down it's cold There ain't no ash will burn In every life there comes a time Where there are no more tears to cry We must leave something dear behind There ain't no ash will burn Love is a precious thing I'm told It burns just like West Virginia coal But when the fire dies down it's cold There ain't no ash will burn There is one lesson I have loathed There ain’t no ash will burn
This makes me want to drop out of college and hit the road with my guitar. I'm decent but can be better. However, that's what practice and experience is for right?
Brennan Stum right. Start playing for whatever they’ll give ya, even if it’s nothing sometimes. Just be sure to give yourself the credit that’s due and know your worth.
Do you know how he wound up at the Pub? I have become a huge Tyler fan and hate that I missed this. I knew who he was then too. When he played St. Aug amphitheater a couple months ago, he said "last time I came through FL I played in a town called Inglis... Yankeetown..." I about died. I thought I misheard him.
Nick Kyler yes, a family that Tyler and Senora are very close to, the Roberts (hosts of Kickin It on the Creek) owned property in the area. They decided to do a little run through Florida on the way to a fish camp that they go to every year. One of the best decisions that myself and my friends have ever made was flying down from Minnesota to catch the shows in Yankeetown and Inglis. Each night only had about 10-20 people at them.
Nick Kyler I don’t think any locals showed up for it as that’s including the 4 of us, 2 folks from Jacksonville and the Roberts clan of 6! Proud to call all of them, including Tyler and Senora friends because of it! The first night in Yankeetown was hilarious because the workers had no idea there was even going to be anyone playing in back, they were too worried about the dinner rush.
I love the old school twang in her voice just as much as his. Be still my heart!
Yes ma'am.

They need to do what the Stapletons do. They compliment each other too well to not do it at least for one tour
How it's supposed to be! Beautiful, thank you!!

Lyrics
You say this life is not your lot
Well I can't be something that I'm not
We can't stoke a fire that we ain't got
There ain't no ash will burn
Love is a precious thing I'm told
It burns just like West Virginia coal
But when the fire dies down it's cold
There ain't no ash will burn
In every life there comes a time
Where there are no more tears to cry
We must leave something dear behind
There ain't no ash will burn
Love is a precious thing I'm told
It burns just like West Virginia coal
But when the fire dies down it's cold
There ain't no ash will burn
There is one lesson I have loathed
There ain’t no ash will burn
God I love you two❤️
Her voice reminds me of what Mountains would sound like if they could sing ❤
Sweet lady May
Wow.....

Anyone else getting serious Johnny and June vibes off these two?
Amazing

This was recorded on 1/7/2017 at Our Pub in Inglis, Florida.

I was there with my wife and buddy. Drove from semi-nearby Leesburg.
Wow
Can they please just do a whole album together already

Recorded them myself at the shows.
@@jessedonner1353 that’s awesome man! You got anymore?
I love the sound of their version of this song. Just not clear why they did not do the first verse, unless the recording started late.
anyone got the chords?
No flannel, wrong guitar. I'll be the first to call it.
