This is my third sink drain video. This one is the best, fast-paced and to the point.

Thanks for the video. I had to replace the rubber gasket assembly, the ring was cracked. Other than a trip to Ace. This was very easy to clean and reinstall.

Thanks, I appreciate concise videos. Use of a drain wrench will save pliers and keep from boogering up the drain.

The tool to hold the the strainer basket from turning is called a dog bone, has different sizes on each end for sink and tub strainer basket. They are a fairly inexpensive tool .

Can plumbers putty or epoxy putty be used on the threads of a metal pipe to stop a leak between a metal nut and a plastic drain part that looks like a flange below the rubber gasket under a bathroom sink? The nut was tightened as much as possible and a small gap between the two parts still exists.

you should not salvage basket strainers. they are really only for one time use.

Great video, but I have a question.
Using anti-seize on the threads? Wouldn't that make the threads more likely to loosen over time and start a leak? Or on the other end of the spectrum, would using anti-seize allow you to put too much torque onto it and screw up the bead of plumber's putty? Just curious. Thank you.
