      You're welcome. I hope you get your chance soon! The deer have really been slow around here, it almost makes you think we have missed the rut or the rut is in the month. We haven't seen the first sign of chasing at all. We found some scrapes and a few rubs, but it just doesn't look like there is anything going on. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

    Hey JUDDIE Thanks for taking this ole veteran with you to the woods! I served in the Marines 6 years and ended up going to Viet Nam for 13 Months and after I got through that I served in the Kentucky Air National Guard for another 2 years. Thanks for the appreciation and God Bless!

      Glad you enjoyed the walk-in, those woods are so beautiful this time of year! It would have been a great hunt if at least the deer would have been moving, even if it wasn't anything that I wanted to shoot. Just like seeing them, it lets me know that one day something that I want to take will step out in front of me. Thanks for watching and commenting, Todd. Juddie

    Great video gentlemen. I've been fortunate to be tagged out in Trumbull County Ohio with two doe and a decent 10 point. My 16 year old boy was fortunate to harvest a really heavy 7 point this past weekend during the Ohio youth gun season. Keep up with the great footage and good luck the rest of your season.

      Congrats, Brian to you you and your son!! It is nice to have some meat in the freezer with the way groceries are now. I both of you have some nice trophies and memories to cherish. Thank you for watching and commenting, will be leaving here in a week a few days for camp. Of course, we are hunting the second week up at camp since Jerod can't get the first week off. But I am going to try and go out the first day or two of our first week of rifle season next week. Juddie

      We haven't seen any evidence here of any chasing. Usually when the chasing starts we start seeing dead deer along US Rt. 19 and Rt. 60. So far we haven't even seen that. Maybe we will see some this weekend, if we go, since next week is the rifle season opening week. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

    According to my trail camera on the farm most of the deer movement there is at night. Haven't checked my other camera for awhile. Great video enjoyed watching

      You got that right, Steve, the deer are more active at night, even at our lease! I meant to check my camera this past Saturday, but got trapped in my tree stand until dark! LOL Also, we we had a full moon and if it wasn't cloudy the woods looked like the half hour before sunrise out there. Thanks for watching and commenting! Juddie

      Thanks, Matt! We agree, sometimes the weather can be very unpredictable. I have even told my wife that I am not going to worry what the weatherman says, I will determine myself if it is raining, snowing, windy or a nice sunny day on the day I wake up and go outside. @@JnJTrueOutdoorAdventures I totally get you! Whenever I go out, I always remind myself: Charge the power bank tonight and don’t forget to bring it tomorrow. But somehow… I only realize my power bank is still at home charging when my phone runs out of battery, lol. Maybe the only thing I never forget is forgetting itself!
      My team and I do make an effort to watch as many videos related to us as we can, though we sometimes miss a few. If we let our connections with customers fall through, I don’t believe we could continue delivering great products. Thanks again for your support!

    Hey buddy what’s going on ! Was thinking about you two . Wife and I are getting ready on this ugly Saturday morning . We are getting ready to head to WV this morning to get ready for our week on our mountain. I to sir will be hunting with two of my most loved veterans . My father served in the Air Force in 67-69 in the lovely Vietnam . I will also be hunting with my cousin Kyle who is coming in from Texas tomorrow with his family . He spent his time in the Army in Iraq and Iran . It’s his fathers farm we hunt that we lost a year ago. We are excited and just waiting for daylight to get this program started . When are you guys setting up camp Charlie ?? Well the best of luck and look forward to watching you’re hunt this year . Good luck and be safe !

      Good luck to you, Charles, and your dad and cousin. Thank them for us for their service to this country. From us it is highly appreciated. So sorry to hear that. Charles, we won't be getting up to the mountain we hunt until this coming Friday. Jerod doesn't get the first week off for deer hunting with his position he has now at his job. So, for the past two years, Camp Charlie takes place on the second week. We go up on Friday, after Thanksgiving, setup camp and check trail cameras. When we head into the woods on Saturday to check the trail cameras, we take rifles with us, but we aren't really hunting per say. Monday of the second week we treat as opening day to us. Again, good luck to you, your dad, and cousin next week. Hope you all come out with really nice bucks. Been some whoppers taken from what I have seen on a WV group on Facebook all over the state. God Bless and good luck. Thanks for watching and commenting! Juddie

I think this morning, November 21, would be a good morning to be out, before the so called storm hits. Of course, stuck here in the office behind the desk. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

    I hate to tell you but it was too hot too dry the wind was wrong for your stand your not hunting late enough and the moon does not matter. if you hunt late and shoot a trophy buck you can come back later to find him just don't waste your time shooting does or small bucks if its late.

    • @JnJTrueOutdoorAdventures
      @JnJTrueOutdoorAdventures  3 дні тому +1

      George the wind has always been an issue with me. With what movement I have seen in the past in that stand, the deer come from the hollow to my left and cross in front of me, or in the hollow to my right out in front of me. With that wind blowing in my face, I figured my scent was being blown more behind me than into those hollows. Right now, with what I saw on my camera, yes I am not wasting my time on does or small bucks. You will notice this in the next video that I hope to have out this weekend. The only thing that worries me, and it has for years, it shooting a deer late in the evening and having to leave it overnight. With the problems we do have with coyotes, I would hate to see a deer go to waste. Appreciate you commenting and watching. Juddie

    • @georgeshotrodbarn2113
      @georgeshotrodbarn2113 3 дні тому +1

      @@JnJTrueOutdoorAdventures You wont to spend seventy persent of your time looking in the direction the wind is blowing and the rest of the time checking the other directions. when the wind is in your face the deer can come in behind you and start blowing before you can see them. a deer can smell up to a half a mile away. i like the wind to my right or left or straight down below me that way i dont have to worry about whats coming behind me i can hear them if when they get close. look where your wind cone is going and be ready to kill a deer before he gets into your cone. now if i shoot a trophy buck and dont see him go down i will just leave and come back later or the next day if the coyotes get him they need to eat too i just need the rack. a big buck is hard to come by it can take years to get one.

      @@JnJTrueOutdoorAdventuresThanks juddie. I've had problems with the wind all season. Never had the wind switch and swirl so much. Also never had mosquitos/bugs flying around your face on November 19th either. Finally suppose to get some snow here thankfully.
