Fresh Caught Fish Dip. Florida tradition! Smoked Mullet 😋
13:32 that's why they call them snapper!
Awesome never new that!
Cool story about the stilt houses,I've seen some of them but never new the story!
New sub here,I grew up throwing cast nets my problem always was that I wasn't strong enough to throw the net far. You are really Zinging it out there,You got a beautiful throw Brother!
bro - grew up in Gulf Breeze, FL - on Pensacola Bay/Pensacola Beach - my dad knitted my first cast net - then I had a 650 ft. net - for MULLET - great fishing
I’ve tied a cast net. Can’t imagine knitting the whole thing. Stay tuned more to come
You know I love your channel! Do you ever take people on your adventures?
Call it the Florida Aqua Man experience lol 😂
Gulf of america is the dumbest shit ever 😂😂😂
Just found you… this is the first video of yours I’ve watched. Loved it & sub’d. Grew up on a canal off tampa bay and mullet fished my entire youth during the 70s. Nothing gets my juices flowing like schooling mullet!
@@adamsadventures9919 glad you enjoyed!
There is nothing better than a 24 ft Carolina skiff slap full of mullet knee deep that's how we get her done
Oh yeah, mine is a 19
Even whenever the mullet push off shore for some reason a lot of hens stay in the rivers I would like to say they're probably local fish
Glad you had a safe day in the Gulf of America
Why do you have a question what's up with the square splash guard I guess is what you have on your boat
All I know is I feel like we do really good whenever the wind starts blowing out of the East when we get a cold front I think that really pushes them all out on the beaches
Yeah I don't think we'll ever completely understand why the fish go offshore especially in deep areas like Tampa Bay how come they don't just go spawn in our channel I have ran into a pack of black of mullet 50 mi offshore there's so many of them down there that literally they're kicking up clams from the bottom
Howdy do from Manatee county look looks like you found the meat
That was awesome. Just stumbled onto your channel, probably because of mullet! Good stuff!
Glad you like the videos!
Greetings from Punta Gorda, just south and off the Gulf of America! Nice catch Bro. Thanks for sharing.
Gulf Of 🇺🇸
Man I wish I could have been there with you 😊. I love catching mullets in my cast net. Can't wait to get back RS license. I only have my SPL right now. Thanks for the video.
Anytime more to come!
It's not karma, they put out a bad vibration ND they bad vibration back
Mullet can feel that good vibration !
Solid video man!! The mullet are so thick right now, I cant wait until they get back out into deeper water. I was worried about your net when you lifted that branch into the boat, but the chain bottom nets seem pretty tough, especially on oyster beds. I threw a chain bottom net in Brazil & it was a beast!
Chain throws further. Cost of doing business is tearing up nets!
I've never heard a cast net jingle like yours does. What is that some kind of fancy weight system making that noise?
Chain! It’s loud but works good
235 lbs
Little shy of that
@FloridaAquaman yea but those were some nice mullet. I use to net mullet back in the late 70s and early 80s from Palatka to cape Canaveral and I really mis those days. That's why I like your videos, they take me back. Thanks
@ back when you could run gill nets. Good to hear!
Not theory its fact. Barometric pressure accures while high tide if the mullet time it right , helps
Definitely!
Mullet don't go offshore until there's an outgoing low tide and the cold front it's a waste of your time to chase mullet around the flats wait for them to drop off in the channels and the only time they do that is when there is a good outgoing tide
@SeanMoffet-q9r genius right?
*Video is like watching the "Grass Grow!😅
new sub...by the way GOD takes care of His own, it is in the word, if your one of His?

💪
Nice catch! And a blessing you could get it done in two hours. Cheers! 🍻
Oh yeah!
Your cast netting skills on point. Thanks for the videos.
Appreciate it!
You really NEED TO DO A VIDEO on cast netting. You are spot on with every aspect of it. Thank you for the video. Your skills and quality are improving. Thank You it’s more enjoyable to watch now. You need to start referring to it as “The Gulf of America 🇺🇸”😊.
Definitely. Just needed a little time. Only getting better. Still editing on an iPhone and 1 camera.
Great video, huge thanks!
Nice video. The food looks awesome 😊. So could you do a freshwater fish catch, clean and cook video? Or have you done one already?
I have a question where did you get your nets
@@FarmerSham Custom is the way to go. I got a couple nets from different builders. 177 2.75 inch mesh 10-12 foot is what I like.
10-12 lbs of lead
@@FloridaAquaman thanks Bro. If you are able to share the contact info. I’d love to buy one. I do a lot of cast netting. I buy mines costume too but mines are bag nets. I have a few draw nets from Amazon but they aren’t good.
@ shoot me a message on instagram.
I have been following you for about a month now. Great videos, chased mullet all my life. Now in my mid 70s and do get to go much anymore, but your videos take me right back to my love for catching and eating mullet. Thanks for your videos.
Will Definitely be trying this method! thank you
This channel is AWESOME!!!!! Better than others with millions of subscribers.
@@eugeneweeks3325 thanks brother, stay tuned, only getting better!
Pay attention to the video and commentary instead of being so critical. This should inspire you get a bully net and get out on water at night and try something different.
Nyimak pagi bolo... namtap sekali bolo, salam kompak dan sukses selalu
That was awesome. My work boat was in the background when you left Clark Street.
Glad you enjoyed! Nice!
Fkorida is so weird
That’s why everyone moves down here!!!
Do you make a living off cast netting and selling mullet or do u have another job
It’s 2024, ain’t making money off mullet fishing. Sad reality. Lucky to cover boat, fuel, truck, ice, nets etc…. I really enjoy it! Only reason I do it.
@FloridaAquaman thats sucks maybe you could grind the mullet up with other stuff and make some type of pellet fish feed and sell that for big bucks
That's how smoked mullet is supposed to look, with that nice dark brown patina. Good job on the net too. 👍
Thank you!
I thought you could only smoke mullet for medical use in florida?
I’m licensed lol
Love your videos! I’m expecting to see a Florida python hunt this year!!! 😂
I’ll put it on the calendar.
I’ll tell you what made me think about it. I fish 10,000 islands couple times a week thank God I’m retired. Last week working my way along a mangrove shore in a creek and maybe 100 yards in front of us I saw a gigantic python swimming across. I tried to get to it as soon as I could to maybe snag it But when I got within 50 yards it went under and never surfaced where I could see it. I’ve seen dead ones there, but that was the first live one I’ve seen swimming across the creek. Anyway, like I say, love your videos.
Too cold up here for them in the winter. Good To hear!
Great video, The mullet have been hard to find here in Sarasota bay, New Sub here, I do have some mullet videos also, I'm from a long line of Cortezians Been smoking mullet with same recipe for over 130 years now. 😎👍
@@1loadermanjack thanks brother I’ll check it out.

I wish I could buy mullet off your boat.
