The music was composed by Toby Fox, who also made the game itself. The soundtrack, with over 100 tracks, has of course a ton of stuff to choose from, so settling for a few songs to include was quite difficult. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of some of the highlights!

The thing I love most about the Undertale music is that I can hear it after not even thinking about the game for months and instantly be taken back to the exact moment in the game where that song plays. It's such a nostalgic feeling, and I hope someday when I'm old and grey someone plays this music for me, and I guarantee you I'll still be able to hum along.

You can get good at playing by ear by learning some simple music theory tbh, like i never could play by ear until after i took a music theory class

@Ditty Annoyance took me probably a little over a month to learn and probably a bit over 4 months to perfect. I played it on and off most that time though. Probably why it took so long.

I love the use of leitmotifs in this game
each song can take you back to the exact moment and location
but every song also says "this is UNDERTALE"
Each song is it's own theme and yet the leitmotifs allude to the games THEME
whether you think that theme is never giving up, always showing kindness even in the most bleak circumstances, or something else entirely

Oh my goodness. I hate to be _that_ person, but will you ever make sheets for some of these? I play for therapy and it's hard to find songs I actually love like this.

The sheet music is currently in-works, as the description says. This was only released 6 days ago mind you. and only 3 days when you commented. Writing the sheet is a pretty time consuming process, even if you had software to assist.

Attempting to learn this, day one and Ive got the first page of right hand down pat, along with about half of the left hand on the first page.
It's about the second week now and Iive got left and right hand of the Fallen Down reprise basically finished, as well as everything else right hand. Working out kinks. \o/

Alright, I finished the Undertale TRUE ending and pretty much couldn't bring myself to reset so started to teach myself this. If you guys wanna know how good this game and the music that comes with it is, I just tell you that when I try to play this music I end up getting too emotional and have to stop playing. In short, go play Undertale and go play some piano while you're at it!

I still think people got way too focused in the Genocide route instead of the Pacifist one, which is the path that Toby put the most love and effort in. Undertale is a game about love, not LOVE.

Absolutely beautiful. Makes me miss the days when I used to play the piano. I used to have a nice one, too. It was my aunts, but it broke during a move and we couldn't afford to fix it. Now, I can't afford a decent one so I don't play anymore. Hopefully with the new year, I'll get a good job and put some money aside and I'll buy one that's halfway playable. Wishful thinking, I suppose. For now, I have your amazing videos to get me through the lack of piano in my life. Now, if only I could play half as good as you. =)
