  • This is one of my all-time favorite sewing machines. It has lots of features without being overly complicated and is super easy to plop on the kitchen table for an impromptu sewing session. It features straight, zigzag, automatic buttonholing and several utility and decorative stitches, including stretch stitches. This package includes a newly painted white plastic case, cords and pedal, original manual, and two boxes of accessories including the hard to find buttonholing attachment.

Bought one of these off Facebook marketplace today for $45. It came with a bunch of accessories, including the button hole attachments. Now I just have to learn how to use it, wish me luck. 😂

@christineannphillips thank you, that's good to hear! In true adhd fashion, I haven't even used it yet. I have gathered a collection of links to a bazillion patterns, fabric, and notions I'll need. 😅 To be fair, I've been away pet sitting for much of the time since purchasing, so I have a bit of an excuse.

Thanks for showcasing this relatively unloved machine. I recently found one of these, bad shape - filthy and not working. used Stevie’s techniques for tri flow servicing and now this is my new little favorite basic machine to give out to beginners. Thanks for the recommendation!

Unfortunately, she did not increase the tension to at least 3, so the bobbin threads were too loose. That's why it appeared underneath the fabric as small dots! By turning tension dial to 0 (zero), she was creating stitches on top that looked nice, but would fall out because bobbin thread was too loose.

This might be a longshot since this is an older video, but I need help with mine! I have my mom's machine from high school, and she had it serviced before handing it down to me about 15 years ago. It has since stopped zig zagging and I need help! Not sure I have the funds to get it serviced, so hoping someone else has experienced this and maybe has a fix??

I've just inherited my grandma's machine like this - my first sewing machine of my own. Anyone know where I can find an instruction manual? Or know how old it might be?

Hi .... I spotted your UA-cam channel becuz my 82 year old mom lent me her sewing machine. Didn’t realize it’s vintage model Kenmore 158.1595281😳🤓. I was wondering if you still have the original pamphlet that I can purchase (don’t care if it’s photocopied)
