so many promising talents that met untimely deaths..
Svengali is not a theory, it's the concrete reality of this sickening heartless world. Even DMX let the public covertly know they were going to ritualistically murder him 24 years prior.

This is so sad. He sounded so convinced he was gonna change. And listening to this interview you'd never think he would end up like that, that he would fall back on drugs and that would be his end. Couldn't anyone advice him better? I feel so sorry for him. I miss you Brad.

More like he learned how to sound mature and bs well at a young age. That’s a necessity if you’re an addict. He is just playing a part in these interviews. He just knew what ppl wanted to hear. He was lost and not genuine at all.

This interview is has such a different feel from his interviews when he was just starting. Before he would never say what people expected and he was genuine and it just made you fall in love with him because he was real. After his arrest that seemed to change to me, like he felt he had to put on a persona to be who people wanted him to be. It breaks my heart because it’s like he put a wall up to hide the hurt so the world wouldn’t see it and then it at him up on the inside. He was an amazing person and will always be missed.

"If you've never done drugs, never do them."
I agree!! I wish he would have continued on this life of being drug free :( . Seriously he was my favorite actor along with Chris Farley and River Phoenix. I fell down the path of addiction at a VERY young age too. But after being on harder drugs for 7 years (16-23) I am only 9 DAYS away from being 1 year sober completely. I still have a long way to go of course. I still go above and beyond to keep my ass out of that lifestyle. But seriously; if you have never done drugs, PLEASE DONT!! I fell into peer pressure and it was my own fault the addiction took over and literally almost costed my life. Take his words, mine along with others who have been through it. Just don't touch it and if you are an addict, find someone you can talk to and get help before it's too late. I have seen wayyyyy too many people die from drugs this year alone :(

Yes, I do agree. Besides the film industry being especially hard on him, Brad had personal struggles I will not elaborate on as I am not at liberty too. Let me just say; Brad was a good actor; too good sometimes. He could hide his pain well. He had a lot of us fooled, but not God, never God...all I can say is, God must have really loved Brad to have taken him Home when He did, because that boy had a whole lot of pain and hurt. Now, Praise God, he will NEVER feel pain or hurt again!!!

We all know now that Brad was unable to overcome those drug problems, & yes it is sad; it was not God's plan for Brad's life-or for anyone's life-but God takes ugly things and makes beauty from them. Brad was human, & its a hard industry for anyone. Life is a messy affair, we must always look to God to help us through and bless our messes. God Bless Brad's Mess.

He knew he was alone in this World and the only person he could rely on was his grandmother, who has brain cancer and was about to die. That's probably the reason why he did his overdose. Yes, I do. I happen to know for a fact that this hit him harder than he would let on. Ever since getting into acting, it was hard for Brad. The long hours, the isolation, the media bombarding him--it was lonely and stressful. He wasn't one to complain and always put a good face on things. I think his positive attitude could be mainly attributed to his faith In Jesus. Sure it was hard, but at the end of the day he still had Jesus & at the very end, he was hurting so bad, that Jesus took him Home.

This has more than likely already been said, but the poor guy didn’t even make it to 36! In fact, just viewing a few of his interviews on UA-cam, he actually discussed having used drugs when he was younger (and that he came from an environment of addiction etc) and this was during the press junket for his breakout role in The Client which, even then, would’ve only made him about 12 roughly. “STUPID” is how I think he referred to drugs. Much like Edward Furlong, his total lack of media savviness made him all the more refreshing versus the overly rehearsed and contrived tripe you’d normally get both back then and even now.

Tbh I'd give away our ability to watch movies with him if it meant he'd have a normal family and a happy life, so that he wouldn't have to get high just to forget all the adults groping and ogling him. Rest in power, Brad.

He can't loose his faith. Once placed in Christ you are sealed in Him FOREVER! --Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation(INCLUDES DRUGS), will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." God used Brad, & even after his death, He is still working through Brad's life. I KNOW Brad is safe at Home.

Feel into that deep pool of life. Used drugs to think it would take him to the greater next level only it took him down a dark path. It happens enough to wonder why would he take that path if he knew It was a scary path. Sad and have seen it too many times wonder what it means.
