Yeah he had a very strong southern accent when he was young, which is kinda different from his image. Not meaning that southerns are not handsome. The southern accent gives us feeling that he is much more like a ordinary person we could meet in daily life, rather than a movie star

They both feel so uncomfortable in this interview, because the lady didn't know that Brad was different from most of the kids his age. He broke that robotic rhythm of her questions more than once, and I can see he felt upset and even kind of offended by her not giving a fuck about his answers, because she was only doing the interview as a job and not because she was really interested about anything he had to say, that's why, as a slap with a white glove, he made that comment about the interview being not natural and irrelevant. Not to disrespect Brads legacy. I got the pleasure of knowing him a little bit. He's been on my mind a lot lately. I'm not sure if its his energy I feel, or what. With the awareness of Hollywood and how they prey on little kids.. hearing this made me feel sad. Anyone else pick up on that? "They come around the school and stuff" and specifically went to a D.A.R.E class and his teacher recommended him.
I hope parents re-consider allowing their children to work for these evil people.
It truly breaks my heart how such a young sweet soul died the way he did.
I miss you Brad. I know this physical life is temporary, but I hope I get to meet you again on the other side without all this evil crap.

Well spoken. I was approached to put my children into modelling and acting but a few days before we were meant to go to my kid's big meeting "my family on the otherside" warned me NOT to go. The agents called and emailed for a few months but I didn't engage with them again. I feel so bad for kid's who have parents that don't know any better or would look the other way.

No. He's trying to articulate *how* he came into contact with the DARE Pig. Likely having the foresight to avoid drug use questions as he was certainly dabbling in them by this time. You heard his half-truth answer(s). "Hollywood" was reaching out to Police & whoever else they could trying to find an "authentic" ToUgH kiD to cast for the film. Sad story *for sure* but you're reading the pages upside down on this one.

The director was looking for a newbie kid who had true grit and street smarts. The cop who did DARE at his school knew the casting director and recommended Brad for the role to the casting agent. I don’t think Hollywood has agents stationed in cities around America going to schools to find broken kids to ship to Hollywood and make semi stars in order to abuse …but certainly wouldn’t be surprised

I remember back 1993 when I was 10yrs old my mother talking to me about a book she finished called "The Client" By John Grisham. I was intrigued on what she told me about the book. Shortly after that, THEY CAME OUT WITH THE MOVIE!! My Mom and I loved that movie and how Brad Renfro was amazing. Next year my Mother and I watched "The Cure" ANOTHER GREAT MOVIE!! that we loved!! Unfortunately in time we lost Brad because of drugs, and I lost my Mother at the age of 56 due to drugs!! I'm thankful for the memories and I'm still pushing for THE CURE to help anyone in need!! I miss him so bad.He didn't die.He was murdered by eyil people.I took it in that way. Most overdose case were like that.He didn't have good people in his life unfortunately.
Well, His son is in my country.
Brad really wanted to have his own family but his son's mother and brad were just basically friends each other.
Also they met in japan when brad came to japan.Their son was not planning.
So she never had plan to move to us with son.He tried to convice her..but brad had drug issues etc
Brad asked to friends "should i marry her? I really like feeling of family"
Last tatoo on his arms was "FUCK IT ALL"
I guess probably shey said no about his offer. If i am in her position, i will do the same thing like her.
But at least, hi son is still alive and grown up..i'm pretty sure his son is so proud of Brad.. as dad..actor..musician..etc
    Brad will never be forgotten.
I'm not religious person at all.
But..lately i think when we die, if we can meet someone special later or if our soul can still exists somehow in this universe..I just wish..

He reminds me a lot of Tatum O'Neal and her first film role as a very smart, tough youngster. I bet this young man was cast very quickly once they tested him to make sure he could deliver it on camera. He did so many huge scenes. How about the elevator scene? I wonder if he got a bit nervous with that knife (prop or not) on his throat. Great film.
