G'day Fred, The skip has been going off in Australia for weeks now. Pretty much Australia wide. Personally been getting regular contacts from New Zealand, Indonesia, USA, Italy and others. On a few different radios but mostly on the Anytone AT-6666 and a 5/8 vertical. Just love the performance of the 6666 and get very good feedback from others.
we use the CRT 9900 here in the USA. When peaked and tuned it will do 100 watts PEP and we use an amplifier with four 2879s "2sc2879" biased B for SSB . This will produce 1000 watts PEP. Is this done in Brittan ?
Hi Fred any good frequencies I should be on just received our Ss9900 v4 have built an antenna for home base and have a decent mobile set up and a few high points in out area TG64 M7CVK
@@UK-CB-RADIO thanks again Fred, I will have a good sweep around the full range that the radio covers, the plan was to go mobile later today but the weather has let me down so will set up at home it will be a good test of our MP1 super antenna see if I get the same QRM as I do on the HF bands. We normally head up to our local high spot Roundway Hackpen hill down here in Wiltshire which are a few minutes from home. Cheers again for the advice Tony 73s
Hello! The only thing that annoy me is the fact that if we switch from channel mode let's say CB 19 into frequency mode and accidentally we change the frequency, let's say from 27.185 to 28.185, when back in channel mode, it will keep the changed frequency. Practically the channel mode became useless, each and every time, when switching between channels I have to check the frequency and compare it to the frecquency table and when driving, this is almost impossible and very dangerous. This is a way to avoid that? Thanks!
Woohoo good old radio videos again
Nice radios. Sold a few of them in the USA. Hard to get here.

Thanks
The 9900 is a nice radio! Today in the Netherlands also a little skip, not something for long periods but it's starting....
THANKS FRED, DES CREAN, BELFAST ,, IRELAND
Only 1bar of noise on your 9900. That's great. I'm getting 4bars consistently from my home QTH.
Hi. No mine is higher but i reduce the RF gain.
@@UK-CB-RADIO ah ok! I was really jealous of your low noise for a while. I've never really thought to turn mine down. Probably should give it a go
@@simonbussey7530 I was thinking the exact same thing as I get a steady 5 to 6 in the country and 6 to 7 in west London!
These radio videos are cool 😎
keep up the good work 5*
The solar cycle will peak in 2025 apparently.
Cannot wait
A lot of new cars push 20 plus amps through the 12 v plug, it’s not like the older cars

Hi Fred. Why are CB shops hard to find. I am in Holloway for a few days and can’t find one anywhere
Not really sure John. They have been on sale in the UK under different model names for some time now. I think CRT are French.
john bolt: Most of them are online these days.
