great but heartbreaking episode 😭 also i JUST posted my reaction to the s1 finale on my patreon! check it out if you are interested! patreon.com/alanamisako
Have to say your thoughts on Askeladd possibly contemplating his own life after his encounter with Thors was excellent insight, given his character arc - which you've now seen completed. Give yourself a pat on the back :)
Some context must be given: They're no farmers. They're warriors. They don't have a house, they don't have how to earn food. They need all the money they can get to buy their existence in the winter.
Yes this is specifically because Askeladd and his crew are mercenaries. Vikings typically were Norse farmers that would go raiding during the times of the year they weren’t sowing or reaping their crops, so normally Vikings would just return home to tend to their crops once the harvest or sowing season came
To answer your question at 8:00 why Askeladd meant 7:53 Thorfinn "what? why do I have to go?" Askeladd cutting his own head to show him that if he wants another fight he needs to go scout. So basically he is just ordering Thorfinn to do things in order for him to get his fight again.
this episode is amazing the music setting the perfect somber atmosphere as thorfinn betrays the only people to love him since his father so sad and brutal cause all he wants is revenge and is willing to kill off parts of himself and others to get it
I'm really enjoying your reactions to this anime, #AlanaMisako. I love your anime content so much because it's so amazing, and I really enjoy watching your reactions to different anime series.
Your cat is so adorable! also yeah I feel Thorfinn is starting down a path that might not lead him to becoming the man his father would of wanted. I'm really enjoying this series so far and can't wait to see what happens!
If you are interested in Viking there’s a amazing show called Vikings you should watch!!You don’t have to react to it but it’s loosely based on history the, Viking history is kinda fragmented because they didn’t really bother documenting themselves. That show has some of the best acting you’ll see and a BAD ASS WOMEN my Lagertha!!❤️🔥
Loosely is putting it lightly . It is incredibly inaccurate. Rollo and Ragnar didn’t live at the same time, they definitely weren’t brothers. There are several other characters that shouldn’t be alive at the same time in the show. The dates are often wrong, I mean, of course they are, if Rollo and Ragnar are brothers in the show, and Rollo was the first ruler of Normandy, that obviously isn’t the right dates. And don’t even get me started on the clothing and weapons. Good show though.
@@godofnothing428 Vinland is definitely considerably more historically accurate than Vikings. The only incorrect stuff in Vinland are that some of the characters are straight up superhuman and some of the characters’ are written in a way that isn’t accurate to their real life stories but other than that it’s pretty accurate.
@@Dell-ol6hb it is broadly accurate, meaning names, places, general history facts that are just narrated etc are at times accurate (as is also the case in Vikings) but the way they are portrayed is entirely fiction. The mother was most likely killed thts why she disappeared in the crowd of Vikings symbolized her getting killed hopefully the daughter was able to get away tho since if she didn’t she’d have a much worst fate

The absolute disappointment and sadness on that lady’s face never fails to break my heart.
7:58 by that he meant that if he wants to kill askeladd, he has to serve him until he decides to accept the duel
or he would simplu kills thorfinn that works too lmao
that works too, but given the fact that Askeladd didn't kill Thorfinn when he had the chance to do so, why would he want to kill him now? @@amai-w8f
@@amai-w8f i mean what he said was actually what askeladd was trying to say but what you say works too lmao
He's trying to suppress his feelings, gotta survive in that hell. I mean, the cat is always cute 🥺

My heart breaks every time I see the look of betrayal on the helpful woman’s face.
I love how locked in you are on this anime. It is a masterpiece.
Love your reaction ! This episode is really emotional ! Poor lady at the end, she thought find a sustitution son...
Thorfin is doing everything, his father told him not to do...Wait until he realises that

One of the best stories ever told
Este es el capítulo que me enamoro de vinland saga, y por lo que pienso que su manga es el mejor del mundo
I cried and cried again
After watching the second season, the first season hit hard
7:57 -you wanna have the chance to put your dagger on my neck? better move, kiddo.
I love ur Vinland reactions so far ❤ can’t wait to see more
I'm so excited for your reaction of season 2 lol
I always find it so funny whenever you say "it's fine" or "I'm fine" after your emotions get dialed to 11 and gotta get them in check hahahahah 🤣
Thorfinn can't catch a break
Wanna cheers for Thorfinn? Watch this episode. Almost like the world isn't black and white, but shades of grey.
the sadness in the ladys face.4
Funny how she completely missed how Askelaad accidentally stabbed Thorfinn when killing the English soldier.

Watch Vikings. It's a show that aired on the history Channel. It's not 100% accurate but it does give you an idea of what happened in those times.
Vinland is thousands times more accurate

It is difficult to tell whether Thorfinn enjoys killing or not, but he still romanticize the idea of being "Viking warrior".
