      I've never driven a Taycan but own a Tesla S Plaid with the track pkg and round steering wheel, 21' gt500 and a nd2 miata.
      The Plaid is my daily and its extremely fun imo. Have you ever even driven one or just hate ev's?
      I used to have a hellcat challenger auto, and it sounded great and was quick, though I wouldn't say was more fun than the Plaid.
      All subjective of course.

      @asabir141 In general, I do prefer gas engines over EV's, just saying the plaid is very fun as well. I own a plaid and 3 performance gas cars, which is most enjoyable and fun depends on my mood, where and how im using the car. I can appreciate
      anything that performs no matter the powertrain.

    i rented one of those for a week to drive in the desert , i couldn't agree more with the diagnostic: far from being a sports car, it's there to have sex with your ears, and it doesn't get old. After a week i was still looking for any excuse to start it up. You like to cruise with low RPM rumbles while chatting with your mates and enjoying the landscape, that's for you. Trade my 14'Mustang GT in for the Challenger - YES it has a lil bit less power, YES it is a heavy/big car, but Boy its so comfy and good looking/sounding.
    Only downside in Europe is, i pay every week 100€ to fill it up (driving 350km a week), yes its expensive compared to a European small Displancement Car😂
    Those 5.7 Hemis are realiable if maintained properly!
    If you never driven one - rent it for a weekend, really cool car :)
    And you can easy modify the car by slapping a Hellcat Supercharger and have a 500-550hp car with a stock block/internals.

      @@jugobetrugo7213 not saying it can't be done just how long until everything gives out. The 5.7's are indeed stronger than the 6.4's I know that but the issue isn't that you will ruin the engine immediately it will run and do fine for awhile, but from my experience with friends who own said vehicles got 2 that slapped a Supercharger on their R/T's. They made amazing power and all was good for about 30 thousand miles, both now have brand new 5.7's in their cars and no supercharger as it sent their heads against the hood. I compare supercharging a 5.7 to tuning a Subaru, can it take the extra power? Sure it can, but for how long? Now that's the gamble you play. If you got the money to play that game then no real issue but if yoy don't its probably worth the little extra cash to do what I suggested as it's proven to make said issues basically a non factor unless you are pushing 1000hp which to be fair any car is gonna start having pretty major issues around such power levels.

    • @jugobetrugo7213
      @jugobetrugo7213 7 місяців тому

      @@tankiller9638 yea thats true but same goes for every car out there. car manufactures dont push their engines to the limit, they make it reliable (mostly) so you can enjoy it a few years.

    In the original, the T/A package was more about road racing than drag, so huge horsepower wasn't necessary. Hood would be correct for the AAR Barracuda, but the Challenger had a snorkel hood scoop. The aftermarket hood can be ordered. Flat black on the hood should come to the edge of the front fenders. No black on roof or trunk. I personally would prefer the chrome retro mag wheels seen on some of the earlier cars. 70 T/A cars also had side exhaust with megaphone tips. I would customize my car to be as cosmetically correct as the original. Otherwise, the green looks good on the car and it sounds good under throttle.

    The difference between engine capacities of US, EU and Asian cars is mindblowing.

      Large engines tuned to less horsepower last much, much longer than high horsepower small engines. That's not an issue in Germany or France, but 30+ European countries fit inside the US. We want our cars fast too, but we also need them to last longer because they'll be getting way more miles than Euro cars.

    • @lorddoobsworth144
      @lorddoobsworth144 8 місяців тому

      Something like an NA Chevy LS is lighter and physically smaller than many other high HP engines, therefore thinking of engines as being 'big' or 'small' based on displacement can be misleading.
      Also judging how good engines are based on the displacement and the peak power is very misleading. A lorry / wagon / truck can have a 14 liter engine with a turbo on it making only 400-450hp. Does that make it bad? Or, do you need to consider what RPM that peak power is made, the peak torque, and the shape of the power/band. These higher displacement engines are much more drivable at low RPM due to the torqueband, which is where most people do most of thier driving. Hardly anyone talks about powerband but instead obsesses over peak power that only happens at a certain RPM, which is strange consider people drivie cars over a range several thousand RPM.
      The reason why the US makes cars with more displacement than EU/JPN cars mainly comes down to things like displacement tax.

    For all of the people on here that are so concerned about just horsepower, really use your brains here, how many naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engines make more horsepower then the 5.7?…. Also if you take the same setup as one of these turbo or twin turbo 4 or 6 cylinder engines has and throw it on a 5.7 it almost guaranteed will make more horsepower, and that’s without direct injection, or dohc like 90 percent of these 4 and 6 cylinder engines have. These are facts my friends, just plain old facts. Higher displacement for the win. Plus it doesn’t sound like trash when you throw a nice exhaust on it, so two wins. 😂
