    Shark Stratos is fantastic! I have had mine for over a month! I previously had the original shark for over 10 years with very impressive suction power. The real test with my new Shark stratos was this evening I used my carpet deep steam cleaner and typically it ALWAYS brings up a ton of embedded everything.....today it just brought up dirty water....nothing else...
    Officially impressed with my new shark stratos no doubt 👌

    I think it would be useful to show the filters after this test. I’ve found that dyson pre motor filters stay much cleaner after vacuuming fine particles like this compared to shark. I think dyson has the lead in cyclone tech and shark has the lead in cleaner head tech

    • @DillonCleans
      @DillonCleans  Рік тому +4

      I certainly agree with you on the cyclone and cleaner head statement you made. I did get another comment asking to see the filters. I originally did plan on showing the filters but inevitably I forgot. But I do remember that the filters were actually very clean on both of these machines. The cyclone technology shark has out into their newer top of the line models is really astounding. I’m very shocked at what they can do with only 1 cyclone. The Dysons is better, but the truth is. I don’t use the dyson. In everyday life, I use shark

    • @typedeaf
      @typedeaf Рік тому +3

      The technology may be more sophisticated, but that doesnt always equate to better. Premium vacuum cleaner brands like Kirby, Miele and Riccar dont use the sophisticated dual cyclone systems either. Also, the more in depth reviews I have seen all conclude that all closed HEPA filter systes are >99% efficient at filtratikon.

    • @typedeaf

      Other channels have done that and both rated at 100%, meaning placing N grams of debris on the carpet resulted in N grams increase in canister. Some vac did >100% meaning they got extra stuff. I’d go with the Dyson unless you were looking for specific features the shark had like anti hair wrap, powered lift away, and duoclean. Both of these vacuums are great at pet hair. Truthfully, I can’t think of a modern upright vacuum that isn’t good with pet hair. Intellitech studios is a shark hater and believes Dirt devil is better. Whike everyone can have an opinion, it shouldn’t be implemented into a case of helping others decide what’s better. It needs to be factual. The dyson ball animal 3 does generally clean carpet better than the shark. But the shark can certainly do a lot more than the dyson at a better price. Both vacuums were set to their hard floor settings like I stated in the video. They were used how you were intended to use them on hard floors. I’m unsure if you have read Dysons recommendations so I can help you out here. Dyson recommends turning off the brushroll since it wasn’t not designed to be run on hard floors. You cannot turn off the brushroll on the shark. It has a hard floor life that slows down the brushroll so avoid scratching hard floors and to prevent scattering debris. As I’ve seen you’ve left another comment on my channel also mentioning why the dyson brushroll was off, I can conclude that you would’ve preferred if the dyson had won. I see there is a little bit of a fued going on here so I will settle this fair and square. The shark won this competition and overall the shark wins in general. It cleans carpets very well and shines on hardfloor and versatility is unmatched. The Dysons main string point is carpet cleaning. Not much else. And yes the shark is $299. I purchased mine for $299 from sharks website and the price is still current as of this comment. Sharks do hold up overtime if you take care of them just like any vacuum. I have a 10 year old shark and many other sharks that are years old that still work great. I can say the exact same for Dyson. I have Dysons over 10 years old that work great. However I do have to say that sharks hold up a little bit better when it comes to brushrolls and hoses and wearable parts. But then again Dyson replaces wearable parts unlike shark. So ultimately it depends on the situation. Dyson freak I understand that you’re a Dyson lover but for you to say my test was unfair isn’t very appreciated as I work hard on my videos and have proven time and time again that the vertex/ stratos is a better vacuum in most cases. However the Dyson is certainly a very respectable machine and works well. Both are great. One is better for most homes and applications. Please do not reply back to this comment unless there is something I strongly said incorrectly. Have a wonderful day everyone.

    Less talking, just get to the point. This video didn’t need to last 8 minutes.

    Shark 🦈 is better, Dyson just spends more money on advertising.
    But Shark spends more in it's technology.
    Sorry to disappoint any fan boys or girls!!

      I personally believe it’s the other way around. But I still prefer shark over dyson in everyday use. They are just more functional and useful for nearly all circumstances when Dysons are more task specific oriented

    You made the first pass much faster with the Ball 3 than the Shark. For deep cleaning carpets and on hard floors, you're supposed to close the gates on the brush head too. It makes a significant difference when it comes to suction. As someone who has owned Sharks and Dysons, even though the Shark has good suction, its ability to separate fine particles and dust from clean air is absolutely awful compared to any Dyson. As a result, you get less microparticles blown back into the air, more ultrafine particles in the bin, and the HEPA filter stays clean much, much longer. Shark is a good lower cost brand, but when it comes to engineering, functionality, and longevity Dyson wins by a mile.

      Actually in recent tests Dyson has problems with releasing fine particles back into the air.

      In this test I preferred the shark. And in everyday use I use the shark because of its functionality. I also left the gates open since that’s what it will be most of the time across all floor surfaces. They are both great machines. They both filter well. They both clean well. I think the shark was better thought it in design. And the dyson for me is just too hard to push. Other people have had the Same complaint. The animal 2 didn’t have that problem

      You’re citing the “recent tests” from Vacuum Wars’ UA-cam. The only thing that test means is that the plastic warped from heat.
      I’ve had the same experience with my bagless Shark and bagless Kenmore.
      The only time I haven’t experienced particle leaks is with a BAGGED vacuum that uses a cloth HEPA bag.

      Either way, the shark has dual rollers which makes it phenomenally better at picking up things in the deep fibers of the carpet.
