the US government need to do a much better job of explaining the benefits of global hegemony and what people will loose with isolation. Then people can make an informed decision
We would probably lose global allies, we would lose out on trade deals, this would be because many countries depend on the u.s to protect trade routes, and sea lanes, also many countries would cease to let the u.s use certain resources that are native to their regions, like many metals/and chips. Countries like Russia would begin to ally up or take by force the countries we protect, by stepping in our place and filling that role, America's military would decline, while hostile nations would see a rise in their military power, prices of goods at home would skyrocket do to the trade disaster aforementioned. The u.s became the only remaining global super power because we decided not to be isolationist in ww2 by supplying western Europe and the soviet union with aid, without u.s aid these countries would have likely fallen, and that's not even mentioning us actually entering the war ourselves, the u.s did infact save Europe, and by extension Africa, South America, and Asia, from the Germans and imperial Japanese. Ww2 also made u.s an industrial powerhouse for decades and stimulated the economy greatly. The u.s.a also helped prevent the extermination of the jews, which is a moral plus. Alot of inventions we have today are thanks to the u.s military complex, that pass on over to civilians like the internet, and there's many others

The Nordic model (not socialism) using tons of Free-market capitalism and taxes it Even then not sustainable due to immigration (concept of putting in more money then removing much like insurance, only works when not everyone takes out)

For the left it's "we need to fix every issue globally and with every minority group before we can fix things for regular citizens" and with the right it's "we need to have a completely perfect economy before we can fix things for regular citizens". Both do it for different reasons but it still ultimately leaves the average person disenfranchised, and usually voting against their own interests for the vague promise that eventually they'll do what they want.
